I have been going to my Reiki sessions with Steven for about 2 months now and felt it was only right that I share my experience thus far. I had been searching for a form of therapy other than the typical methods and relaxation technics for what felt like forever when I came across RCM's yelp page. Reading other's reviews, I contacted Steven and set up my first appointment. I did very little research prior to my first meeting as I wanted to just take it all in and have an open mind. When I tell you it was one of the most amazing experiences, I am not exaggerating. Since starting my sessions, I have gone swimming in the ocean (was a huge fear and at 30, I had never done it before), I'm traveling to Australia (a trip I've wanted to go on my entire life), my levels of anxiety are so minimal at this point whereas before Reiki my doctor was recommending several medications, my boss has noticed a difference in my creativity and the ideas/concepts I have been pitching are all next level. I leave each session feeling renewed and refreshed; although sessions can be very deep, I have a whole new perspective on my week ahead, a clarity that I never experienced before. I feel a sense of balance, confidence, and a desire to continue to be better...all of this is new for me. Amazing is definitely an understatement when it comes to Steve. You just know he comes from 100% unconditional love and light. At first I was a huge skeptic about Reiki because I've never done it before. After I gathered the courage to do one session, I was indeed more than pleased and satisfied. I was going through a lot of emotional trauma, stress, a breakup, you name it. A lot past issues with violence depression and self esteem. Steve just made me feel so comfortable and at ease with everything, he talked to me about what I was going through, and invites a better approach and to see things in a different light. So with the intention of focusing on those areas in my life to strengthen/heal/balance , I then lay on the table, felt a calming warmth emit from his palms hovering above you and you just feel so relaxed and safe, it's like a mini-vacation ... with long lasting effects. I can't say enough that Steve has really made a difference in my life so far , it's my 4th session with him, 3 at his facility and one distance session, and they've all helped me become stronger and more balanced. I have met with Steven for both Reiki sessions and as well as attunements; every experience was nothing short of amazing. Steven is professional, passionate, educated, good-natured, and trustworthy to say the least. As a student of his I can honestly say that he, communicates efficiently and in a timely manner when I have any questions/concerns that come to mind, truly cares about your well-being (Reiki related or not), and teaches in a manner that isn't overwhelming or difficult to follow. As a Reiki client of his I would describe my experience as mind-calming, informative, and truly effective; each experience is unique from person to person as well from session to session. I met Steve at Yogaworks, where he practices Reiki during the Urban Zen classes. At that time, I had never experienced Reiki before and had no expectations whatsoever. While I was being all relaxed in a restorative pose, I all of a sudden felt an enormous, powerful nurturing energy flowing through my body. It was a sensation I had never felt before. Steven is simply extraordinary at what he does. I had two hour-long Reiki sessions with him this past month and I must say I noticed a remarkable difference in how I felt afterwards. My stiff neck and shoulders released much of the tension that had been bottled up, and over the ensuing days I felt better and better. If you are unfamiliar with Reiki or consider yourself a skeptic, just think of it as similar to getting a massage, but without any pressure or invasive touch. As others have noted, Steven takes time before each session to answer any questions, as well as to discuss whatever is on your mind and what you hope to get out of Reiki. His studio is a warm and inviting place, and he does a great job of making you feel as comfortable and at ease as possible. Oh, and he has two adorable cats! I originally found Steven and his amazing practice a few years ago on Yelp. We had an excellent session and my curiosity in the Reiki practice was definitely strengthened. We reconnected about a year ago before the pandemic and had a wonderful session. My boyfriend and I spent the day searching for a Reiki practitioner who could see us that day, as we were both dealing with large amounts of physical and energetic stress. I've been through several Reiki sessions with Steve, and I can't get enough. I look forward to his guidance and care; I know he always has my healing in mind. I have a physical injury that is already subsiding after his work on it, and we're also working through creative blocks. This is what I'm finding super important though: the work and release and freedom of energy don't just last for a session and go away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Steve is a breath of fresh air... I felt comfortable immediately after meeting him because I could feel all of the positive energy just pouring out from him. Steve knew it was my first time and spent as much time as I needed to explain the practice of Reiki to ensure that I was comfortable before we started. I've had several Reiki sessions with Steve and Im always looking forward to the next one; he is a very talented healer and makes you feel comfortable; since the first time I noticed the warm energy during the session, also a relieve and opening sensation I could compare with trust! ...I was very surprise to feel something, since I was New to Reiki I didn't know what to expect. Working with Steven is amazing! I have had several REMOTE Reiki sessions, and have been truly surprised by the experience and the shifts in my life afterwards. This is a very relaxing process that leaves me feeling calm yet full of energy. Following the sessions, I find that I have more clarity in decisions.
