Bait & Switch STEALER at their finest!! Drove 2.5 hours roundtrip to look at used Prius Limited. Spoke via phone to their salesperson about the vehicle the day before. Arrived the next morning to find the vehicle they wanted to show me was a lesser trim XLE instead of a Limited. Used Sales Manager Evans Colin then lied thru his teeth explaining how this was a computer error and would love to get me into another vehicle instead.....seriously?!?! Then told me if it had been a Limited it would have been priced higher....Really?? Then how come the CarFAX I downloaded from y'all website showed it being a Limited?? CarFAX confirmed it was a Limited as well....just see attached photo. I'd avoid this place at all cost. Wasted a Saturday morning and 3/4 of tank of gas to be lied to.

Just got quoted a price of $540.00 for part and labor to replace a PCV valve. The part cost $16.95 on Amazon. So that's $523.05 for labor. My 4 cylinder engine burns 1 quart of oil every 1,000 miles. I was hoping that replacing the PCV valve may eliminate a contributing factor to excessive oil loss. Apparently, it's well known that Toyota engines have excessive oil loss. Google "Toyota burning oil" So here we have a defective engine with a known problem. I just wanted to see if this inexpensive part that attaches to the outside of the engine block may help. I bought my Toyota based on my belief their Toyota Manufacturing System with their Six Sigma quality controls would catch defects in the manufacturing process. This problem, as pervasive as it is, didn't lead to a recall or even an alert to owners to check their oil between oil changes. Toyota has lost my trust. This will be my first and last Toyota.

The Toyota of Montgomery service department damaged my wheels during a simple tire rotation and refused to repair them even after promising to do so. I've never had this sort of experience at a Toyota dealership but sure enough this is exactly what Toyota of Montgomery has done to me.

Picture of markup that they would not budge on.

I scheduled the service for a Saturday because I work outside the city limits about 55 miles. My appointment was early and I was on time. The service is usually exceptional but this Saturday.....not so much. I sat for hours and I didn't get an update. I finally asked for a loaner after 3 hours of waiting. I asked for an update and it was an inconvenience to the staff. I wanted my car because I had an appointment to get to. I was told loaners aren't available on Saturday. When they finally was done, They were rushing me through the payment process by taking my payment in the lobby area. I was disappointed with the dealership and gave them a bad review in their own survey; no other forums. This was an expensive service. ....But the dealership responded to my survey. They apologized for my experience. They updated the website to reflect loaners on the weekends. They realized that the service was not adequate. Now should they have done more..... $800 dollars and four hours later.I am not sure. In a world where people deflect their responsibility they took ownership but what else should they have done? I am appreciative for their acknowledged shortcomings on that Saturday morning. I appreciate the update to the website reflecting the availability of loaners on the weekends. I still can't get my time back for that day or the opportunity I missed out on. But in saying all that, Ownership at the top is extremely important here. They didn't get it right but they wanted to acknowledge it and not hide it. So Thankful for that

I accepted the price and said I'd like to purchase the car. I offered a deposit to hold the car while we did paper work but they refused and said "we don't want a deposit. We want you to buy it." I agreed to buy it right then and there. No negotiation or anything. I told him I'd be financing it or I could pay cash but it would take a day or two to transfer funds. I was assured financing was fine. They sent over forms to fill out and I filled them out immediately. The manager called me confirming my purchase and asking about california emissions. Minutes later I asked if there's anything else I could do. He said "send me your insurance info". I did, again immediately. Then 20 minutes later he sends a text saying the car sold to someone else. Not just anyone but to an in house person who paid all cash. So not only did they sell the car from underneath me but they sold it to someone in their "team." How is that not a conflict of interest??? He went on to say there's nothing he can do and the car is gone. This was a limited edition car that I've been dying to get for a long time and to say I'm devastated is an understatement. Bottom line, try to get a job here because they look after their own more than their customers!

Even though I wasn't a customer, the way I was treated and the dealership's enabling of that treatment says a lot about their ethics, leadership, and the kind of people they do business with. Here's what happened, I discovered the training opportunity through a job listing and was contacted by Al Desarro's assistant. I was told I would receive one-on-one training from Al Desarro and hands-on mentorship with real, experienced car salespeople at the dealership. I was excited, especially since I'm someone rebuilding after an injury and ready to grow professionally. When I arrived at Sons CDJR, it became clear I had been misled. There was no one-on-one coaching. No active sales floor experience. No dealership staff involved. Just a classroom full of other trainees and Al Desarro leading the session alone. It was not what was promised and it went downhill fast. From the beginning, it felt like I had a target on my back. Al asked me off-topic, obscure questions that weren't even in the training guide he gave us. When I answered, he'd cut me off. But when others got it wrong, he'd give them time and help walk them through it. The double standard was loud and clear. During our lunch break, Al pulled me aside privately. Instead of offering encouragement or advice, he stared at me like I was crazy and asked, "Why do you think you can do this?" His tone wasn't constructive -- it was dismissive and condescending. I responded respectfully and confidently, explaining my drive and goals. He coldly replied, "Well, let's see how this day goes." Later that day after asking more obscure questions and showing us YouTube videos, Al asked the group to share what we hoped to achieve from the training. When it was my turn, I said I wanted to use car sales as a stepping stone to gain experience, build businesses, and create generational wealth. Before I could even finish, he cut me off with a sharp "That's enough." Another trainee gave a similar answer and was allowed to speak without interruption. I couldn't ignore the bias anymore. At the end of the day, I was pulled aside again. This time, I was told that Al, along with dealership leaders Clay Morrison (General Manager) and Missy Hubbard (General Sales Manager), had decided during the lunch break that I wasn't a "good fit" for the training. I was let go with no feedback, no explanation, no opportunity to improve. It felt like a decision made based on personal bias, not performance. What shocked me even more was what came later. A year after this, I tried to apply to other car sales training programs only to find out I had been blacklisted from multiple dealerships across the city. All signs pointed back to Al Desarro, who doesn't even work at Sons CDJR but has personal ties to Clay and Missy and clearly enough influence to sabotage someone's future behind the scenes. If you're a young person trying to get your foot in the door, be careful. Sons CDJR allowed someone who is not even their employee to use their dealership to belittle and blacklist trainees based on personal feelings and ego. This wasn't about qualifications. It wasn't about effort. It was about insecurity, control, and favoritism and the dealership enabled it. If they treat aspiring sales professionals this way, I can only imagine how they treat customers behind closed doors. I do not recommend Sons CDJR for work, training, or even a car purchase. There are better dealerships out there.

I visited the establishment several times, called numerous times, and still absolutely nothing has happened. I have a brand new Jeep Wrangler I purchased from them in JANUARY, that NEVER had a WORKING RADIO OR SCREEN. I was so excited about the new purchase that I wasn't even thinking the radio wouldn't be working or that parts would be malfunctioning on a BRAND NEW JEEP. However, I figured this out only a few days afterwards in January and here we are in MAY and I am still without a working radio. Contacting them and speaking with folks is easy, however, getting someone to actually keep their word and follow through with effective action has been IMPOSSIBLE with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

After a year and a half of on-time payments and a very high interest rate, I decided to refinance. I called the man that sold me my car and told him what I wanted to do. He told me to come to the dealership and he would take care of me. I called HIM because I trusted HIM. That was my first mistake. He ended up talking over my head the entire time and even brought other employees to "explain" to me what was going on. Keep in mind it was obvious I was financially illiterate, young, and broke. He ended up convincing me to trade my car in for a new version of THE SAME CAR (same year and everything). They rolled my negative equity over to the new loan. My payment was the exact same, I just had a much better interest rate. I ended up with a $38,000 loan for a car that was worth about $18k once I left the lot. It took me 2 years to realize the hole they put me in. I explained my story to a few other dealership employees I had come to know. They all said the same thing. They said that he would be FIRED for exhibiting the same behavior at their dealership. They said he was preying on me because I didn't know what I was doing. I'm still stuck upside down in this car, paying over $600/mo. Don't get me wrong, I love my car. However, I should have an almost paid off car by now, not a $27,000 remaining balance on a loan. I hope that this doesn't happen to another hardworking student that's already in a tough financial situation. I debated on writing a review at all because I've worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years. I know how a bad review can make you feel, especially when you're only getting one side of the story.
