They talked my wife into an upgraded air filter would fix the problem which it did not so they were able to get more money from us. We were talked into their monthly plan and we have been grateful that they come out within a day but it is getting ridiculous that this keeps happening and they are not fixing the problem and upcharging to things we don't need and did not want. I would be happy if they fixed it but they are coming out to "fix" their equipment every few weeks which is getting very old. I shouldn't have to keep taking off work and making sure we are home for the time they will be here for a brand new unit that we should trust to work and it doesnt. We will be calling again in the morning to set up yet another technician to come out. We spent a lot of money and want everything to work as it was advertised even if they finally admit they did something wrong and we got a bad unit that needs to be replaced.

The gentleman quoted me $1,695 in labor, as all the parts would be reused just refitted. I left work early, drove down there, disassembled, cleaned, and refitted them myself in 45 minutes. Duke came out inspected and turned the gas on. $1,695 for 45 minutes of work is disgraceful. You are taking advantage of people. I will be watching and reporting if you try to take my review down.

The last time the owner, Matt, came out to repair it in April, we told him we were concerned that the air conditioner itself might be defective because of the constant problems. He told us to "trust him," reminded us that he owns the company, and assured us that if anything happened, he would come back out and take care of it. My husband believed him as he had been great to work with up until this point. Now, just a few months later, our HVAC has been broken for over a week. Despite the system still being under the warranty we were told the company provides, we cannot get anyone to respond. We have called and texted all three phone numbers we have for the company multiple times and have received no response. When you spend thousands of dollars on a new HVAC system, you expect reliable equipment and a company that stands behind its work. Instead, we've dealt with repeated breakdowns, unfulfilled promises, and now complete silence when we need warranty service. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend United Heating and Plumbing.
