I came in with horrible edema. I had fluid around my chest and gripping my lungs. Breathing was…read morevery difficult. My ear had scar tissue from a previous plastic surgery procedure and my legs were huge! Walking was very difficult. I investigated several people for Lymphatic Drainage, knowing that if not done correctly, it can hurt you and be counterproductive. I could not drive and could barely walk without holding onto something. I found Pam Moyer, who was trained in the Vodder Technique of manual lymphatic drainage. Let me tell you- it was not what I was expecting! How can such a gentle touch produce such spectacular results? I don't know but it worked. After the session, I was very tired and went home and rested. I also "disposed of a lot of liquid" afterwards. (Nice way of saying I peed a lot). The following morning the band that had been like a vice on my lungs had disappeared and I would breathe with ease. While hydrating, I was getting rid of fluid as fast as I could take it in. The size of my calf's and ankles went down. I had to have more of that magic so I booked another session. I was so much better that I could actually drive myself this time! This session concentrated on the ear scar tissue (it was much looser) and my legs and ankles. And then back up to my lungs again. Two days after this session, my legs looked thinner and the edema was much better. I discontinued us of Lasix for the edema because it was so much better. My calves were down another 2 inches! Pam gave me all kinds of hints to use at home and she was willing to answer my questions and share her knowledge. I don't understand how it works completely but I know that she has some magic in her hands. I will be going to her for the Lymphatic Drainage as needed. (I anticipate a few more sessions). They also have massages and facials here so I can't wait to book a nice deep massage! I can only say Thank You, Pam, for all that you've done for me. I'm walking. I can breathe and I can drive again. I must have been a basket case for her since I had just been released from the hospital after 6 days and I was pitiful. Now, I am getting better all the time thanks to Pam and the Lymphatic drainage.

Great facial and no hard sell! It was a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable experience.read more

I searched online for a good place to visit for a facial that was both convenient for me based on time, location, and not crazy expensive. A Touch of Class ticked all the boxes. They weren't far from my home, they scheduled me for a late afternoon appointment so I could use my lunch hour to leave an hour early and make it there, and the total price was $55 before tip. (The facial is normally $65, but I went on their website and found a $10 coupon for a first-time visitor. Definitely check out their site for deals like that, as well as what monthly specials they have going on because their deals looked great!) When I walked in the door, the front team were very kind, and had me fill out a form with information on my skin, to better customize my facial. My esthetician was Spring and she was just awesome. Very personable and informed, she was a delight to chat with and also a great adviser for my skin care. She talked me through each product, so that I would know what it was and why it was beneficial to my skin. Each product was felt very nice, smelled great, and really seemed to work. Once the facial was over, they gave me a lovely bag of goodies, including some samples of the cleanser and sunscreen that was used on me. Now, I really like the cleanser, but have a few at home so maybe once I run out of those, I'll go and get that one, but the sunscreen? I have not been great about sunscreen unless I'm going to the beach because sunscreen clogs my pores and makes me break out. This one? Amazing. I've been using it with no clogging whatsoever, and I'm in love. I will be returning (as soon as I run out of my sample- which is a decent size to actually learn the product) soon to purchase the full-sized 50SPF Image facial sunscreen. As for the atmosphere, it was super calming. The lights were dimmed, spa music played in the background, and nice scents and warm towels helped to relax me. If you're at all uncomfortable with the idea of stripping down for pampering services like this, I think you'll be surprised at how modest you can feel. You first cover yourself in a good-sized towel wrap and then two layers of covers/blankets. As for what the facial entailed: I got probably one of the more basic facial options they offer, but I loved it, and it was exactly what my skin needed. Spring double cleansed my skin, exfoliated, masked, steamed, extracted, serumed, moisterized, SPF-ed, eye creamed, and lipmasked my face. (yes some of those aren't real contractions of words but you get what I'm saying) It was absolutely perfect for my kinda tired, dry winter, and a little flaky in places skin. (Also- Spring can extract milia. Maybe not all of them, but she got some really alloying ones near my eyes that I was prepared to die with on my face.) One week later, my face is clear and smooth and looking better than ever. Spring had recommended that if you can afford it, getting a facial at least once a season is super beneficial to ones skin, and you better believe I'm gonna try and make it in there every season now.
