Booked this past Tuesday, and needless to say I wish I had been more straightforward when asked how it was afterwards.. For my first massage and facial ever, that I had been looking so forward to for DAYS mind you, was everything but a relaxing experience from the massage therapist to the esthetician, to feeling like I'm being cornered up by front desk to buy a membership! Never will I step foot in there again. I just wanted a simple self care day going in and out.. The massage therapist basically just did a light rub on me despite me plainly stating that I wanted medium pressure. My husband could have done a better job! The esthetician was extremely rough handed, and worked way too fast paced for it to even be considered relaxing. I left feeling less relaxed than when I first came in, I was highly disappointed. Pretty much a complete bummer for a first time experience and I will not be back. I had high hopes, but it was a total let down. read more

The check-in was fast and easy. The location was clean and the ambiance relaxing. My masseuse, Celine, was very in tune with my needs and cared about my experience and problem areas. She was kind and had an uncanny intuition to be able to know how hard or soft to massage. I have been to other places and usually have to guide the masseuse to massage lighter or harder depending. I live in Bainbridge, so to travel here makes it almost a 100 mi round trip, however at one time I actually signed up for monthly membership. For awhile it was ok, but when I asked questions about different therapists (I was trying several to find one that suited me) they hesitated to talk. Some therapists were great and some were not. They seemed to keep pushing for me to book with the therapists who did not have as many requests. I wanted the most popular therapists (the best) since I am a paying member and travel so far. The best ones were male for whatever reason. When I would request that, the front desk told me that should not matter. Wait? I am the customer, so I should be able to request a popular male therapist, right? Cancelled my membership. The last time I went, they put me with a female therapist who was TERRIBLE. No pressure, she was just barely touching my skin. It was so disappointing and frankly weird. She talked and laughed. I asked for more pressure, but she did not adjust. I don't come there for someone to lightly brush my skin. I haven't been back in years... :( read more

My sons purchased a massage for me after losing my own Mother recently. My appt was today 5/17/23 and it was so awesome. The front desk team member "Tay" was very friendly, and I was checked in quickly and ushered to my tranquility room. My therapist Jessie was very attentive and consistently checked on me throughout the massage. After a very busy year of taking care of my Sister and my Mom I decided to become a member. I never leave reviews but I am very underwhelmed and disappointed with the service I received here on 7/23/24. From the massage itself to the "compensation" I was offered. From the moment I walked in there was disorganization and chaos from there being confusion with the paperwork I needed to complete to my appointment being started late because my room wasn't ready. However, I couldn't help but notice that customers that came in after me were able to be taken to their rooms immediately upon arrival. During the actual massage my areas of concern/focus (head, neck, and lower back) were communicated to the therapist which turned out to be irrelevant information because my lower back and head was completely missed in its entirety. At the end of the massage I mentioned this to the therapist and she proceeded to tell me that she was unable to target that area because she had another client coming in (after starting on me late and RUSHING thru my service). I mentioned this at checkout and discussed my concerns with the manager on duty, who proceeded to tell me that there was what seemed like miscommunication (Also false. The therapist was clear on what needed to he done) and proceeded to offer me a discount on services during my next visit- but riddle me this? Why would I want to rebook with you all again, spend more of my hard earned money and put it in it your company's pockets if you failed to not only try to correct the issue then and there(whether that involved placing me with another therapist who was available) or offering a percentage off of my service that day? I politely declined that offer as it was clear no one was interested in seriously making things better. There are better options in the area around the Same price point (if not cheaper) for way better quality and service. read more

I gotta tell ya-- YES QUEENS. I have a very physical job and a sister who is a sports massage therapist. Read: they will make you cry with how deep they can knead your muscles. This is what I know and need. Walking in with some expectations but not a whole lot, I was greeted right away by Audri. Within five minutes I knew I would be contacting their corporate office with praise based on her alone. Very friendly, professional, efficient, comforting. I told her what my job entails and she immediately knew, confirmed and selected key areas for my massage therapist to focus on. Audri is a real treasure! Megan was my massage therapist and for 90 minutes I laid on the heated massage table and tried not to drool while falling asleep from how she worked my body. She checked with me a couple times to make sure I was comfortable with the pressure, asking me if I wanted to focus on anything particular, etc. but mostly let me enjoy the soothing music that filled the room. Worth a mention is how I have tenosynovitis (aka major pain akin to a fractured bone) in my right wrist and despite my worry she may hit the wrong spot causing me pain, Megan EXPERTLY worked out my entire forearm, deftly avoiding the affected area. That impressed me more than anything. Come here, be specific about what you want, and they will deliver. I left feeling 100% better. read more

The massages here are great, the staff is nice, but I have 2 big gripes: 1: Their tranquility room is loud.... obnoxiously loud. It is located just inside the front door, so you hear all the traffic coming in and out and it is never quiet or tranquil. 2: I am a paying subscription member and I can't get an appointment on the weekends. I travel a lot and I can't schedule ahead 2-3 weeks in advance. I am currently sitting on 3 months worth of paid massages I can't use. This is a high traffic location and they are constantly booked up, so I had to cancel. read more

I had an appointment scheduled today, which I believe it was at 4:30 I did schedule online; at 4:12 I called and I said that I was going to be a little bit behind, I live out of town, and that I'm here with the army for Covid response. I have only been to the port orange massage envy and in calling I was told that I will pay $60, as they will now deduct it from my account because I failed to show up on time, though I called the office multiple times. It was reported that they would get paid no matter what; I tried to explain that I had someone in the hospital and it didn't matter. So, not the greatest experience, I am here with other soldiers looking for massage services, and I will not recommend this office to anyone else. I have 19 years I the army. DEAN IS THE BEST MASSAGE THERAPIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. He is seriously beyond 5 stars and despite no longer living in Tallahassee, whenever I make the trip down there I always be sure to stop for a massage with Dean. He's chatty but so talented and I always feel so refreshed. However, the front desk staff here needs some major help. They've consistently messed up gift card options, many times not putting money on gift cards I've paid for (which I realize, embarrassingly, much later when giving as a gift), not recognizing money on gift cards when they're to be applied to services...it's a real mess and they're highly disorganized. read more

Shady billing practices. Had a great first massage to treat a sports injury. Was upsold to get a massage once a month at a reduced rate and was told I could cancel anytime month-to-month. When I tried to cancel a few months later I was told I couldn't. I went around the ringer 4-5 times making visits to the storefront (taking time off work to do so), after being promised a manager would be in, and nobody was ever there that could help me. Several employees told me that the contracts are a year long and that the person who sold me this should not have told me this! Reported to the BBB. Was later sent to collections and owner never fulfilled his end of the bargain of letting me use the amount of massages I paid for. Avoid at all costs. Ripping people off and ruining their credit score alongside SHADY sales tactics! read more

I was referred to Massage Envy by a friend and I became a new member after my initial appointment. The peaceful ambiance, clean, fresh interior, and friendly staff raised my expectation for a great massage experience. My masseuse was absolutely spectacular! She applied the adequate amount of firmness and tenderness for my taste. I purchased a 30 minute stretch and a one hour massage. This combination was extremely relaxing and beneficial. The staff and proprietor provide excellent customer service. It is really a shame that management and the front desk team aren't better at customer service because the therapists themselves are fantastic. I've been a member of ME since 2008 and have been to 7 different locations, all with great therapists and great staff. However, I only continue going Kerry Forest location because it is only one in town. I have had multiple issues, but the most glaring was when I booked my husband for a massage. I was told by the staff I could use my prepaids to cover it with a $10 fee to transfer the prepaid. Day of service: 1. Couldn't do it because it was an 1.5 hour massage, but didn't mention that when I booked the massage. 2. I was also required to call my "home" ME to transfer the one hour if I had wanted to use it, also not told that. I would say, use them if you want a great massage, but you may need another massage after dealing with the front desk -- sounds like job security! read more

Getting a membership at ME is one of the best things I have done for myself in a long time. I have been very happy with ME. I decided I needed to take better care of myself and looked into it. The membership makes massages affordable. I found masseuse I like, Tracy, and only go to her. The front desk staff, especially Sierra and Priscilla, are very nice. I think people sign up for the membership without fully appreciating that it is a contract!! And then are upset when they try to break it. But I use mine all the time and take advantage of it. I scheduled my massage 2-3 weeks in advance. I was very excited because I have never been to Massage Envy. Two days before my scheduled massage a received a courtesy call to remind me of the massage date and time. I show up to my massage 15min early as asked by the receptionist. I go over all the information and they move me to the "tranquillity room". Almost 20min after my massage was supposed to start I'm still sitting there. I walk up to the front to ask the receptionist what is going on. She informed me that my massage therapist, Kristin was running a little late and they would call her to see what her ETA was. I later was informed that Kristin was not answering her phone and they had no idea when she would be coming in. I had to reschedule my massage for another day. As a single mother (who has to find/pay childcare to come get a massage) I can't begin to explain how frustrating this is and how much of a waste of time sitting in Massage Envy for over 40min total! If I didn't have the gift card that I received to get the massage, I would NOT be returning. ** update I was contacted by a manager. They are comping my rescheduled massage and covering the payment for my childcare. I am pleased with how quick someone got back with me. I will update further on how the massage went. read more

I've been a member for four years and having your favorite massage therapist give you the best massage every month is definitely money well spent. Well, about 4 1/2 months ago, my go-to MT quit. Sad day for me. Came back today to try another MT but my massage today, although relaxing was not on point. She's got a different style and just didn't listen. It was average and not as good. See, your massage therapist is just like your hair stylist. It has to be a perfect match. And when it's not, it can be disappointing. Today, I decided that I'll cancel my membership and find my old MT, wherever she may be in town. I still have 4 1/2 hours prepaid massages left so I'll just try different MT's each time and hope that one of them can live up to my fave MT.
