I like this place, especially when I got a great deal from Groupon! I came on a day when I needed self-care the most. It was supposed to be a 1 hour session where they first soak your feet in warm water while they massage pressure points in on your face, scalp and neck. I was told by the receptionist when I signed in and filled out forms that as I need the massage pressure to be harder or lighter, that I can tell my massage technician. I had asked for harder pressure on my scalp and neck - I asked several times but I found out later that my masseuse is brand new, a substitute on her first day! (Why would the business allow non/experienced staff work on clients??? I don't think she heard me much less understood me , as she was speaking Chinese to her peers. So I got 15 minutes of not effective neck and facial and scalp massage. The remaining time was focused on feet massage. It was average. The stone massage on the feet was done in only 3 minutes. So I'd say if you get deep discount for the service, it may be worth it if you had an experienced staff giving you the massage. Do not pay full price. Ask for better staff.

We heard many good things about this place from the hair salon nearby. So we decided to try it before our hair appointment and we are hooked! We make a day out of it all. I had Barry today for our mid day 60 min and he was very relaxing and gentle. Since we save $5 during mid day times, we decided to add on the hot neck wrap and it is a nice way to unwind after they massage the neck, face and head. They move on to the legs and feet for the last 40 mins and it really helps remove the stress. The chairs and atmosphere all play into relaxation. The only reason they don't have 5 stars is I miss my back and hips. But everything else is first class! My mom had Jason and if you want a little extra firm he is the way to go.

I love Relax the Feet and cannot say enough great things about my multiple experiences! I booked my first appointment on a whim after seeing a few advertisements for their business and wanting to give it a try! I am not a full time member and get to enjoy going on a regular basis! I was hooked from my first experience as it has been one of the best ways for me to relax (which is something I struggle to do). The environment is extremely calming, relaxing and restful in every way. The 60 minutes is just long enough to leave you feeling refreshed yet fully relaxed! However, if you are looking for shorter or longer, those are options too (45 mins/90 mins). If you are unfamiliar with their services, they offer reflexology which besides relaxation, has tons of other medical benefits. Additionally, they work on your head, neck, arms and shoulders before moving to the feel/calves-all of which is fantastic. You also have your feet soaking in mineral water before and a hot stone treatment towards the end all while relaxing in an overstuffed heavenly chair. I highly recommend giving Relax the Feet a try if you are looking for a way to relax, to give yourself some self care, for the medical benefits or simply because you want or need to! You won't be disappointed in their great services!

My experience was great! However, this service isn't for everyone. Therefore, make sure you are ready to be totally relaxed! The atmosphere is very low lighting as soft music is playing the background. And you're among other clients as well. You'll hear slapping noises, and perhaps someone snoring...yeah this service can make one fall asleep...IMO! I visited the Virginia Beach location a few months ago just to purchase a gift certificate, since then, this location has opened which is closer to me. And I mentioned that line to say, usually this location does not honor gift certificates purchased from other locations, but I found out (the certificate was a gift for my BOSS) they did accept the gift certificate previously purchased because this piece of information was not disclosed. Customer service...thank you for honoring the certificate! Oh by the way, my Boss loved her session! Upon arrival, the shop was super easy to find especially if you are familiar with the area. The shop is located in a shopping center among eateries and Greenbrier Mall is minutes away. This is sort of a hideway location, but then again, this is a heavy traffic area too. Nevertheless, plenty of parking here. The ladies at the receptionist desk were super forthcoming and friendly, and they speak English!! I must say, after dealing with the customer service at the Virginia Beach location, I had high hopes for this location...I thought "Hmmmm a masseuse/masseur that speaks English...clearly" - I was over the moon!! My session...up next...my high hopes were sunken!! OMG...how are people over here (in the US) and don't speak or understand English - this is so disheartening. Because while I was in my session another young lady was having a hard time communicating with her masseur. This became very distracting... One of the receptionist came to the back to assist, but she too had trouble communicating with the masseur. This was borderline hideous. While our sessions were paid in full by a local organization, she still shouldn't of had an unpleasant session all because of the miscommunication. The end result...she left unsatisfied after 15 minutes into the session. However, my masseuse she was all good! She applied just enough pressure throughout my 60 min session. She started from my head and finished up at my feet. Now ladies... don't go in there with a wig, lace front wig or any hairstyle you don't want them to mess up. OMG, while she was massaging my head all I could think about... She is about to massage my wig off any minute now. And if I had a lace-front wig on that would probably be a complete disaster. So yeah ladies...just be mindful of that. When I thought of the name "Relax the Feet" - I'm thinking a pedicure to the third power...but nope! I went to the website and learned quite a bit about the services they offer. However, when I sat down for my 60 Minutes Reflexology (the classic hour designed to relax your body and mind. This stimulating session uses traditional touch and pressure techniques on your head, hands, and feet and will help your whole body to relax) I knew what to expect, but as I look back now, I wish she massaged my legs and feet for 60 minutes. I really didn't care for the head, arms and back massage. But I was still pleased. I can't say I will return, because this level of relaxation I get my from nail tech when I get my bi-monthly pedicures. However, if you aren't used to a high quality of treatment on a regular basis, this may be something you'd like to try. The shop also offers memberships with super great perks. It is definitely worth a trip to see what they are all about. After my session, I was offered a snack mix and some tea to relax me even more. This was definitely an added touch that I totally loved. I took my mix and tea to go...my ride home was super pleasant. A tip: if you don't care for intense pressure during your massage you may want a woman masseuse to carry out your service. The masseur may be a bit rough to one's liking, hence that's what the lady I mentioned above experienced discomfort (from a male masseur) and couldn't communicate with him to advise. Another tip: If you happen to have a dress or skirt on, they provide you with a pair of pants for you to change into. Have fun and enjoy

Where do I start?! Let me tell you about myself. I am a mom, I work, I take care of my husband and my family. I do everything I can to make them happy. By the end of the day of everyday...I feel exhausted...I'm always thinking about what needs to be done now and the future. Its a never ending job being a wife and mom if you are doing it right. So when I heard our community manager set up this event...I had to try it! I arrived at Relax the feet. There were two ladies and they were sweet and kind. They offered drinks and snacks and guided me and the other ladies to our relaxing chairs. The people there were so courteous. They brought me a table to put my wine glass down and took my purse and placed in a basket next to me...while all of this was happening Tony the guy who was doing my massage started massaging my shoulders...It was first class service at this point. They turned off the lights and had the spa lights on and the water fall sound going..Tony started on my shoulders, then my face, and my scalp, then worked to my arms, and hands, he then really worked my legs and feet and toes...it was amazing. I felt so relaxed i was starting to fall asleep. This is by far the most relax I have ever felt since I have had my son. I enjoyed it so much! Right after my massage...I spoke to the receptionist about how much I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up as a gold member. I will be coming here every month from now on.

Chesapeake Hot Yoga is located right off of Kempsville Rd. and since they are located in a plaza, there's plenty of parking which was nice. Our session started at 6:15pm so we all arrived a few minutes prior in order to check in and get set up for our 75 minute session. Once we put our belongings away, we entered the yoga room and it was pretty warm but bearable. The room was large and spacious so we were all able to spread out and have plenty of room to exercise. We brought our own yoga mats but towels were provided and I'm so glad they were. The more movements we made, the more I sweat. I was drenched from head to toe once it was over and my yoga mat was soaked by the end of the session lol. Thankfully, we were given a cold towel that was lavender scented to place on our heads to cool us down and it felt great. Overall, as intense as the warm temperatures were in the room, I would return in a heartbeat. Our instructor, Kali, was absolutely awesome. She was very patient and allowed us to go at our own pace. I love doing yoga and I highly recommend everyone give hot yoga a try, at least once.
