There's a difference between a massage and just rubbing gently. I did express this before the appointment that I prefer strong firm pressure. It started out well for like a good 10 minutes but then he just reverted to his usual soft massaging. By now I just wanted to finish 1 hour that paid for and leave. These money grabbing places don't care about giving good service. They just want to quickly waste your time, so they can get you out for the next person. Never again going to any of these locations.

This particular location is in the Fairfield shopping center next to Rite Aid between Food Lion & AJ Gator's). Check-in was easy. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment, which ensured that I had my full time. Make sure to bring cash for 20% gratuity. The ladies (Erika & I didn't catch the other young lady's name) at the front desk both greeted me with friendly smiles & were very kind and happy to assist if anything was needed. While you are in the waiting area be quiet or whisper in consideration for others as it's only a thick curtain separating the front desk from the session area. Complimentary tea & water and nuts are located in the lobby. They do have a one person restroom, which has to be accessed through the session area. If you need to use it prior, staff will guide you back as the session area is dark with blue ambient lighting. Once again be mindful to not disrupt those in their session. There are six large reclining comfy chairs 3 on one side and 3 on the other each with an ottoman in one large open space (no partitions). Two baskets are located to the side of your chair. One for your shoes, the other for your belongings If you would prefer to hang your jacket they will hang it for you. You doff your socks and shoes and recline into the chair while they slide over a tub of warm water for you to soak your feet. . You can add on epsom salt and other niceties for an additional fee. They place a blanket over you that covers from the chest area to thighs They start with massaging your head & then your back proceeding to your neck & shoulders. My reflexology specialist, Jimmy gave my arms a good stretch, followed by some pull, snaps (his fingers snapped not mine) on the fingers and percussion taps on areas where necessary. Once the upper parts were done, he removed the tub of water and dried off my legs and feet with such vigor while they rested on the ottoman. I want to say a good 30 minutes is spent on each leg & foot and 30 minutes on the upper if you have a 90 minute session. He really provided some much needed deep pressure on my calves and feet. There was a lot of tension in my toes for sure that I didn't know I had. Towards the end it felt like a paraffin wax or something similar was rubbed on the calves and feet, then hot moist towels were wrapped around the legs and feet. It was so relaxing that I caught myself snorting several times throughout the session. Afterwards I felt relaxed, but energetic at the same time. I know, somewhat of a paradox. Jimmy did an excellent job and the facility itself is clean. That was my first time doing an entire reflexology session, but I think it's safe to say I am now a fan!

I've gone twice- once before covid and once recently. Both times the head massage was good, but the neck, upper back, and arms massage wasn't good. They do have receptionists now that get the paperwork filled out and ask your level of pressure (light, medium, hard), so I said medium hard. When the receptionist told my masseuse, he heard medium light, and my massage was actually uncomfortable to me- it was like a light rub. I finally spoke up after about 20 minutes (a mixture of not wanting to speak up and wanting to keep the area quiet), and my leg & foot massage was way better. I most likely will not return, as I just get weird vibes from it. I don't know if it's the dark behind the curtains vibe that makes me feel weird or what, but I just can't get comfortable in there. It's a cool concept, but maybe just not for me.

But, here's the deal: Rhonnie (I believe she's the owner?) gives amazing massages. I grew up with a mother who practiced massage, so I can be a picky client. Over the years I've gotten a lot of deep tissue massages, and Ronnie's was the best I've had in ages. Walked out feeling like a limp noodle. My second massage was with another person, and while she did work a significant portion of the tension out of my back, I left that deep tissue massage with a few bruises on my legs and not feeling as awesome as my previous experience. But, I'm going to give it another shot soon and hopefully it's as good as the first time.

The water was lukewarm at best, they didn't ask if we were satisfied with the water temp - the next 10 to 15 minutes were used to give us neck and shoulder massages. We bought foot massage service for a reason, they cut into the 60 minutes we wanted for our feet - they tried to use cupping on each sole but the cups didn't stick, was very flimsy having a syringe like gadget to put air in the cups but it was broken; the technician even said his son was playing with it and they need to get a new one. Trying to get the cupping to work took away 10 minutes of our allotted massage time - I got a masseuse who was kneading too much that I ended up with bruises (see photo) - they normally have 1 person working there do they had to schedule an extra person to come in for our appointment. Because they were there and didn't have any more appointments, they said they can do our back massage. Didn't disclose that it was for extra so we ended up with services we didn't need and we paid more for what was already unsatisfactory experience.
