I was finally able to relax during the end (where she was only doing my arms and back).... It was $77.50 (including tax) which I paid at the beginning of the service. I was kinda skeptical because I've never paid upfront for a massage before but whatever... anyways, at the end, another women comes to bring me to the front room. She asks if I wanna leave a tip and I said... sure. I wrote $3 because I was genuinely in pain most of the service. She literally looked at me and goes "it's $10 MINIMUM for a hour" .. excuse me? When is a tip EVER mandatory? & after I write the $3, she grabbed the receipt for me and wouldn't even let me finish writing my total. I asked for it back because I didn't feel comfortable with how she treated me at that moment. I will not be returning. The entitlement is absolutely insane and unprofessional. Plus, the whole place reeks of FEET. I should've left after I noticed but always try to give a chance. Never again.

Poor customer service: She kept talking to her coworker, leaving the room multiple times during massage with door wide open while I'm exposed face down and vulnerable listening to her talking to whoever walked in. Inappropriate contact: During massage she would allow her body parts to be against me. Uncomfortable Environment: You could hear noise in other rooms and noise at the front entrance. Cold air was blowing on me while on massage table and I said I was cold, she left and came back. Still cold air blowing on me. Everytime she left me alone during massage to attend to someone else who walked in I was uncomfortably exposed half naked on the table with her leaving door open. Audacity: She directly asked for tip after the traumatic, rushed, incomplete massage. Sum it up... I would've rather taken 30 minute option wanting more IF it would be a quality experience rather than leave with 60minutes of never wishing I came here. Extra info (Before arrival): 5:40pm Called the place asking for first available time, options and cost. On short notice. They said they can do it at 6pm for 1 hour at $60/person or 30minutes $40/per. Confirmed for 1 hour. Called back to say arrival at 6pm. Arrived on time. At arrival required to prepay the hour massage. $6 extra for credit card charge. Paid. Massage was cut short, poor quality and afterward was directly requested to give tip.

The place was clean, quiet and staff was friendly and professional and the price highly reasonable where I have payed almost double the amount at other massage parlors. My wife and I were in Short Pump and decided we wanted to schedule our couples spa day so she called the Short Pump location. I was sitting beside her and they were on speaker phone while she scheduled. They kindly asked if "your husband" would be ok with a male massage therapist. This is a no for me and always will be. It's my personal preference and will never change. My wife said no and they told us it would be about a month before they could accommodate us. We showed up on our scheduled date after working extra late the day before because it takes us an hour to drive to this location and we know it would take up our whole day. After sitting in my sauna for 20 minutes I sat there waiting for 10 minutes for my therapist, who, to my surprise was a male. I explained I did not want a male therapist. He was polite and I thought was going to tell me to wait a few minutes while he figured this out. Instead he said "go ahead and get dressed and go to the front". So that's what I did expecting an employee or manager to come figure out what needed to be done. It's also important to know once he told me this I told him to tell my wife because I know she would have gotten up and left. He said to me "Oh, she's probably started her treatment". He did not walk me to the front or talk to me after in any way. The staff sat at the front desk whispering back and forth so much that I felt uncomfortable and decided to wait outside. 2.5 hours later I get a call saying it's time for my facial. I explained what happened and told them it was a terrible experience and they said sorry and I won't be charged. She also said she would have a manager contact me. Guess what, not contact has been made to me directly. However, my wife called and let them know just how bad and unprofessional this experience was. The manager, Kendall, agreed and said this is unacceptable and she was going to contact upper management to see what they could do. After Kendall failed to contact my wife as promised she called her. Now Kendall told my wife I lied, that never happened, there staff did nothing wrong and they could offer me 20% off if I come back in. Let me be clear on how I feel about Scents and Serenity. I would rather chew my own fingers off than step foot into that spa again. I will eat the money I wasted on this place rather than be treated so badly, called a liar and listen to the excuses the staff made to protect their mistakes. It was clear and I heard my wife directly state I wanted a female therapist and they agreed and scheduled a later date. Oh, let me also explain that my wife probably hadn't even started her session and had a female therapist. They easily could have corrected this by switching. We would have been completely fine with that. And time wasn't an issue. We started 10 minutes early to the excuse of "you wouldn't have gotten all your time" is irrelevant. Look, I'm sure people may love that place. Everything is good until it isn't and the way the manager handled this showed my their attitude towards all their clients behind closed doors and money is the only thing that matters to them.
