When he works with you, he adjusts his approach in real time depending on how your body feels and reacts. He also offers advice for working on specific problem areas between sessions. I was referred to RVA Massage by a family member and all I can say is my session with Stephanie was AMAZING! I have never had a therapist truly take time to understand my pain the way that she did. If you really want to HEAL yourself, go see her. She walks you through exactly what she plans to do ahead of time and truly wants your feedback to see what you're comfortable with and what your problem areas are. Other therapists may get annoyed if you ask them to go light or to go deeper but Stephanie genuinely wants what's best for you. She is laid back and makes you feel extremely comfortable. I have had a great many massages over the last 30 years and I have to say that Stephanie is one of the most if not the most intuitive massage therapists I have ever experienced. She can feel the tension or soreness with the slightest touch and then with expert ability she works to release that tension or pain or soreness. I am not one to want or hope for a relaxing massage but rather at 52 years old and trying to stay active and in shape, I need a massage therapist who can help my body stay as fit and able and injury free as possible. Absolutley the best massage place in VA. I have been going to Stephanie, the owner for almost 2 years. Massages by her are the only thing that aleviate the constant pain from my back problems (herniated discs, siatica, ect). Stephanie is absolutely the best! I had constant hip and lower back pain for years before starting sessions with her and I believe she fixed me. She is really good at working out deep knots!
