I recently visited San Diego and was in need of self care. A good deep tissue massage for my lower back and right leg/hip area after traveling was what I needed. I googled massage in the area and discovered this massage spa Relaxing Massage. I had Andy as my masseuse she was very nice/soft spoken but had amazing strong hands, she knows how to get all the knots/ muscle tightness smoothed out with no problem and just the right amount of pressure. My massage was so good I went back 2 days later. (June 21st) I'm now back in GA and wish I could find someone to give me a awesome massage like Andy! I'm writing this review after the fourth time that I have come to relaxing Massage and so far I have had multiple great experiences but this time I have to especially say that I had a massage with Bella and she really paid attention to my needs and I asked her not to do my back and give me some extra time on my feet because I suffer from neuropathy and I left feeling like I could walk better and I didn't sleep with so much tingly pain and I even had a chance to hear her story how she is here from China and Her mother is taking care of her kids and she works hard every day so that she can send money to her family over there and take care of them and I just wish I could see her every day. I have been looking for a new massage place nearby, where reservations aren't required, and prices are reasonable, and this is it! I checked it out this morning, after dropping off some dry cleaning a couple doors down, and the manager, Andy, was very welcoming and friendly and invited me to come back, either with or without reservations. So, I came back after work, after getting a mani/pedi a couple doors down in the other direction, and sure enough, Andy was still there, and was able to fit me right in. I got a 60 minute full body massage for $60, and it was absolutely wonderful. My back and neck were tight, my arms and legs were sore, but felt great during and after. It even included free hot stone massage, which was a nice touch. Afterward, I realized Andy was my masseuse, too! Great experience; totally recommend, and I will be back! PS: while I was getting my nails done next door, was chatting with one of the other patrons, and she said her and her husband live downtown, but they come here to Point Loma for their massages (and nails). They have a wonderful staff and I have been particularly comfortable and impressed with masseuses Lilli, Tiffany and Andy. There are several other ladies there, which means there's almost always someone available on short notice. I have lower back and leg problems and really enjoy a good firm massage. I usually get a 90 minute massage which includes hot stones. If you're looking for a full body massage from a masseuse who will accommodate all your needs, you should schedule an appointment. No appointment necessary. I made one anyways and they didn't ask for a deposit, a phone number or a name. Just required that I come in. In this day and age? I am so grateful for not having to commitment LOL I moseyed on over and upon walking in, they ask you how long you want to be massaged for and if it was either foot, body, or both. You pay, and are then guided to a room. There is no guidance on whether or not you should remove your top but I did just because that' s what I'm accustomed to. Idk her name but she was one of the younger masseuses. She started by warming up my whole body then focused on my shoulders. Not because I asked but probably because she felt the knots there and almost melted them! But I asked her to stop because it went from relieving to a little painful at one point. This place used to be good. I went yesterday and opted for the $40 foot massage. The woman was nice enough, but her massage technique wasn't good. She didn't massage my face or hands. She rubbed my head over and over in the same place which made it uncomfortable. No reflexology points at all. When massaging my feet and legs, it was very repetitive. Again, when massaging my feet, she didn't do any pressure points or reflexology. Upon leaving, I handed her a tip and she looked at it and actually had the audacity to laugh in my face! Is $10 on a $40 massage not enough?? 25% is a pretty decent tip, even though the massage was mediocre! I will never return to this place. I always leave a tip after massage on cc , it does not make sense to leave a tip before service. I never had a problem until today. my receipt could not be located after massage and most likely the reason why I did not receive a proper massage. it is obvious they do not care I paid for a full service. never again. smh read more

i'm a contractor who works long hours in need of relax well guys is a place to go. I did a running event and went to go get a massage here after and over the phone they stated they had no wait. When I went in I stated I had called and requested a massage. The two ladies at the front then looked at each other and started whispering in a different language and looked up and stated I had to pay up front. When I asked why they said that's the rules. Before going in I had already saw comments online about how you pay afterwords so I was confused. I have never gotten a massage and paid before the service, plus I don't even know how the service would be. When I asked for clarification, they said the manager was not in and they cannot change the rules. It felt really unfair and was very odd so I ended up leaving and not going. It seemed very bizarre. Pretty loud and not super relaxing. The massage therapists don't massage you a lot, just kind of more rubbing. Not super effective if you're an athlete but nice if you like it on the super light side. Friendly enough front desk woman though. read more

Look on Groupon though, they offer significant discounts. This shop is new and it is close to my home so I thought I would try. My neck and back had gotten pretty bad. The girl who worked on me used just the right pressure. She wasn't fluent in English but we were able to communicate well enough and she was very friendly. So, the entire experience was great. Certainly, one 1-hour massage isn't going to resolve my back issue but I was able to relax and enjoy the massage. I felt better afterwards and I will return in a few days. Today was our third visit there. They seem to be falling down in service. The first time we went we got a one hour foot massage and it was fantastic. The second time we went for a hour massage and it was a pretty decent massage. My husband's massage decent. Mine was also pretty decent, but the problem was my gal had the business phone in the room. So it wasn't relaxing to have the phone loudly ringing multiple times in my ear making appointments. Decided to swing by for a foot massage and again the phone was in my ear, rang multiple times while the masseuse made appointments but this time the massage was very mediocre. I really want to like this place because they are very nice and you can't beat the prices. But definitely having a problem having a phone ring in my ear during my massages. She is highly professional and she relieved my stress and pain on my upper back. Surprisingly, she can also speak a little bit of English.
