We have been here a few times and over all it is good, solid, and worth the fee. Tonight was a bit different. The massages were fine, if a bit mechanical. They seem to follow an outline. BUT... I had some pain in my neck and shoulders and my therapist went of script amd really helped that area. The two big issues were that we could hear a lot of noise from the lobby which took you out of the mood. And when we were still dresssing a lady walks in on us. Obviously she was embarrassed and we were a bit shocked. We were partially dressed but she should have knocked. Add to this -while we were still dressing- she started to clean the room. It was just off putting. We will be back but having the lady walk in in us was just not a great way to end the massage. read more

We called last minute on a Monday evening and they took us for a couple's massage and even had an extra seat for our son who needs to be with us. Everything was very professional, appropriately lit, very clean and modern. This is the best hidden gem of a massage place in Point Loma area! The girls are all so sweet and accommodating. Most of the girl masseurs are very small in stature and look tiny but Woah! When they work on you they are strong! I've had 3 great massages there, each time a different girl masseuse and all were great! Most of the girls don't speak English so it was a little challenging to communicate, but they understand certain words and body language. Clean and comfortable massage table, the face cradle was better than most. The therapeutic massage is more of the Chinese style massage, which while effective (I certainly felt invigorated and my digestive system seemed noticeably better), it is of the slightly painful, beat you up a bit, stretch you kind of massage and not the relaxing, focus on trouble spots, fall asleep kind. read more

I had an appointment at Regen last night. I was physically assaulted by my massage therapist Miya (not sure if the spelling is correct). The assault was in two parts. First, she was so aggressive on my entire body. This was supposed to be a medium level massage. I asked her to go lighter, she laughed. I told her it hurt, she laughed. I winced in pain, she laughed. I said stop, she laughed. It became apparent that she is not fluent in English. However, I do think that there are basic words you need to know to communicate with your clients or at least respond to their physical indications that you are causing them pain. I was thinking to myself, wow at least I am not a hostage - even though she wouldn't let me go when I told her that I wanted to be done. It got worse from there. She turned the lights on in the room, jumped on top of me, poured, who knows how much oil on my body, pulled my underwear down, and pulled my butt cheeks apart. I was astounded, and told her that's it. I physically started getting up and it was only at that point that she left the room to go get her phone so that she could use Google translate. I told her I was done and she responded that my time was not up. I said that's fine. I got dressed and went out to the receptionist. The receptionist was able to give me a discount and charge me for a 60 minute massage instead of the 90 minute massage that I had booked the appointment for. She told me that she would reach out to the owner and that they would be in touch with me. Today, I did not hear back, so I called to speak with the receptionist. The receptionist informed me that they would give me a refund, but the owner would not speak with me directly. This is so insane that I went to a massage to relax, and left with a shoulder injury that I did not have before my massage appointment (I could not move my shoulder when I woke up this morning) and being assaulted by a massage therapist, who laughed when I was in pain. I have been fortunate enough to have had many massages over the years, and this was by far so different from anything I've ever experienced. It was so incredibly unprofessional and left physical and emotional damage. Needless to say, I absolutely do not recommend Regen. read more

I have come here 3x. My husband is a "regular" and has a punch card. I think you get a free or discounted massage after 10? Anyways... all my experiences have been great. You get to choose the essential oil scent in your room as well as the areas you want the masseuse to work on. We get the 90 minute. The 60 is good but the 90 is to die for. They are open till late at night so you can get nice and relaxed then go home and sleep like a baby! I highly recommend! read more

I wasn't expecting much when I booked my massage at Regen. The place is a bit tricky to find. You need to use the back entrance of this little strip mall and go around the building to find the door. I was pleasantly surprised. Super clean place, nicely decorated and it has an atmosphere of a spa. Staff is very attentive and polite and the price is almost hard to believe. I recommend setting an appointment before you go. It doesn't seem that they have a lot of staff available. If you are looking for a great place and unbeatable price you should check it out. The end of this story will gross you out... For a while, Regen was my massage place. I went once a week. After 2 bad experiences, I won't be back. I saw someone else had the same experience as me when you said ouch, the therapist laughed and did not go lighter. Horrible. No matter what language you speak, you can understand the pain inducing tone of "ouch"! Now that wasn't what made me never go back. I am an esthetician and I know the importance of sanitation at work when you are touching people all over. I was waiting for the bathroom. My masseuse came out in a hurry. When I went in, it smelled like poop. I get it, everybody poops... the worst part was she did NOT WASH HER HANDS! The sink was bone dry! Communication and cleanliness is off. read more

I was looking for a good massage. After to an hour and a half flight I always like to get a massage afterwards. This was nearby where I was staying. And someone recommended suggesting they did a good job. So I said let me give them a try. The receptionist was really nice and knowledgeable. She was able to book me for a one hour massage. The massage overall was pretty good. The therapist was pretty strong which is great. I will definitely give her a four star rating. If I was in the area I would probably give them another try or I would probably look for someone else. It wasn't my favorite Massage nor was it was worst massage. It was good. They have a really nice waiting area. The weather in San Diego is perfect. I suggesting getting a massage and trying to them out. It felt fresh and clean, friendly & safe. There was a chart to fill out for focus areas and an option for aroma therapy of choice. The massage was exactly what I asked for and exceeded my expectations. Austin, the masseuse, checked in on the location & pressure regularly; he obviously had a great knowledge of technique & musculature. He modified the massage to work on targeted areas and work deeply in tight areas on my back. The final step of a hot towel rub/wipe down felt nurturing and allowed me to go on with my day without feeling like I needed to take a shower & change.
