Both of my elderly dogs have crossed the rainbow bridge this summer. Both in the weeks immediately following her care. Did she neglect them? Did she not give them their medication? I am sick and heartbroken.

And I have never written a Yelp review before, however our horrible experience has compelled me to write a review so that nobody else experiences the same thing that we did. We hired Mackenzie Sharp of Walk the Dog. We interviewed several people, and eventually decided on Mackenzie. We have a little zoo.... four dogs, a cat, a lizard and a snake. We also have a garden that needs watering. Two of our dogs have high anxiety issues. We were looking for someone to live in our home, and to be there the majority of the time. Mackenzie assured us that this would be what she would do, and may be gone 4-5 hours mid day, but otherwise would be there. She also shared with us that she would be the only person coming into our home. I appreciated this especially because we have rescue dogs that can still be quite nervous, and I am hesitant to have them meet any new person without me present....I just wouldn't want them to react negatively. We went over the instructions clearly, and also wrote out everything in detail, including medication that needed to be given to two of the dogs twice per day. Mackenzie assured us that she would communicate regularly and send photos regularly. We left town on Friday June 30, 2017. Mackenzie came to our home early that morning so she would be there when we left. Over the next few days our communication was sporadic with Mackenzie. She wouldn't always respond and we received one photo. On Sunday evening around 11:00 our meighbors attempted to reach me through text. I did not see this text until Monday morning. When I called them they had said that our dogs had been barking in the back yard from approximately 3pm until 3am. They said it was a very anxious and comsistent (every minute) barking at the back yard. They said that other people were yelling at our dogs to stop and that someone had been walking around blowing a dog whistle. They said this had gone on Friday and Saturday night as well. I then attempted to reach Mackenzie. After a couple of hours she returned my call. She said that she was dealing with a spider infestation in her home and she wasn't able to be at my home as much. She also told me that her boyfriend had been coming over to help her at our house. We contacted some friends of ours who agreed to take the dogs, and we had Mackenzie bring them there. When we returned home we found urine all over the home. It took us awhile to calm the dogs, and retrain one of them to not urinate in the home. And so to summarize, we hired Mackenzie to live in our home while we were away, feed, walk, give medicine to, and be with our pets. Instead, she was hardly ever there. She left the dogs either inside or outside for 12 plus hours at a time. They did not get their medication when needed. Our home was covered with at least 30 urine spots. She did not communicate with us to let us know there was an issue. She let a stranger to our dogs into our home (when it was clear this wasn't supposed to happen). I am more than frustrated with this situation. Mackenzie Sparp may look good on paper. She may seem like a good fit when you meet her, but she is not a woman of her word. I felt deceived, lied to, and most of all sorry that our pets were out through this. I was also very frustrated with the time and money that we had to put into cleaning our carpets. On top of that, we were put in a position of needing to apologize to many surrounding neighbors for the disturbance. My recommendation is that you STEER CLEAR OF MACKENZIE SHARP AND WALK THE DOG.

My dog Poe received 15 sessions from her ranging from walking on a leash to agility & bonding - we covered a lot! I feel much more confident moving forward and have noticed a huge improvement in Poe since I got him. He's a smart boy that tests my patience sometimes, but using the things Olivia taught me, I can meet him on the same level and set him up for success. We have also boarded both boys with Olivia and they LOVE it. Her large fenced yard gives them plenty of room to run and they seem very comfortable in her home & around other dogs. She also sends lots of pictures and videos showing what they're up to! Would highly recommend Olivia for both training & boarding.

(other dogsitter cancelled the day before we were leaving) Our pups aren't the easiest, as we were attacked ~6 months prior resulting in one of them being fear reactive to any other dogs, and the other one being anxious/easily overstimulated. She was able to safely keep them separate from her other doggy clients but still have plenty of attention & time in the yard. The space is really a great set up, with several individual little "houses" for dogs to stay in (like the size of a garden shed, climate controlled & set up to be like a home environment) and a nice big yard that looked like a doggy paradise. She regularly sent me updates with photos & videos, and it was clear she knew what she was doing regarding dog behavior & training and handled our pups very well. (She's on Summit Dog Training's short list of recommendations too, so you know she has the right approach.) She was also able to be flexible and keep them 1 extra night when we got stuck in traffic on the way home and didn't get back until late at night, so I could pick them up the next morning instead. This was really a great place, Olivia was a life saver for us in a last minute bind and was wonderful with the dogs, and I'd gladly bring them here again. Thank you Olivia!

Natalie was able to train both of them to heel together and not be leash reactive anymore. They are great with sending daily pictures and videos and once a week you get a report card that lets you know of the your dogs progress. Natalie also was amazing when we picked up the dogs with teaching us how to reinforce the new training and answering all of our questions. While its definitely an investment ($$$), it's 1000% worth it. Went from having dogs that are constantly pulling on the leash, to dogs that walk right by my side!

I decided to wait until after our trip to look for a new rescue; however, a friend in Texas asked if I would please take a stray that her grand kids had found there. They couldn't keep him, they were unable to find anyone else to take him and they didn't want to drop him off at a rescue shelter there. Hence, I ended up with an untrained but loveable stray named Buddy. Due to the short amount of time before our trip, I looked for a place to teach him some manners. Based on a recommendation from another company and the glowing reviews on the web, I dropped him off at Dog Dynamix for 3 weeks of board and train for $3,495. Pricey, but I was glad they would be able to complete his training before we left for Montana. Imagine my surprise when Buddy came back to me unable to do anything that he hadn't been doing when I dropped him off. He could do a little heeling for very brief periods provided there were zero distractions. Same with 'sit'. Didn't know 'stay' or 'down'. No basic obedience behavior whatsoever. What I got for my $3,495 was 1 pet cot, 1 slip leash, 1 remote collar set and 4 cans of dog food (not a part of his regular diet). I did not get a dog that exhibited any training. Fortunately, he's still very loveable. I would not recommend Dog Dynamix for anything other than possibly boarding.
