Brought in a mower to K & P that was dying after a couple minutes of running (and cut like crap…read moregenerally), and Paula diagnosed and fixed the problem (replacing the muffler/auto choke mechanism), as well giving the machine a tune-up (oil, plug, air filter, carb cleaning), a blade sharpening, AND even replaced a wonky connection from the tank to the carb that a prior owner had made to the mower, who tried to put in a cutoff and fuel filter. Believe me when I say, the result was a COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION in my mower. It's like I bought a brand new machine, no kidding! They also got the job done quickly (only a couple days), and the price for the work was MORE than fair, esp. in these times when everything is SO expensive. Buying a mower of this power and build quality in 2026 costs $4-500, so repairing made sense if reasonably priced, which K&P's services are. This place is horrible. Terry the owner is a condescending prick who treats the customer like…read morethey're beneath him. We paid a lot of money for what we thought would be a new engine and when we got it back three weeks later it was just our engine rebuilt but not well. The check engine light was still on and when we went to do our first oil change we found the engine has been mounted oddly so we could no longer use the recommended filter size. Additionally we also found that the vacuum lines weren't connected and laying on the exhaust manifold under the leaking valve cover manifold. The radiator hose was on an antique plastic garden hose shut off (which was broken and leaking) and the plastic tubing had vise grip hose clamps. The exhaust manifold only had one bolt in it and it wasn't even tightened all the way. There were additional leaks that caused a small engine fire with melted wire sheathing. For the money and the time we should have just bought a new vehicle or did the repairs in a parking lot somewhere. So if you want to get ripped off and screwed over hit this place up. But remember to save some money for the post repair repairs. I'll be over here pushing my vehicle off the road and crying over the craptastic services I received.
