Plus he charged me $200 over the budget. It's just sad really. I gave him one star and that was for the 3 kids because they were so sweet. He was referred to me so I took the people at their word. I was having a problem with water coming…read moreinto my office from my lanai door. After his evaluation, he said the "flashings" did not come down far enough to cover and protect the lanai roof. He also repaired the bottom of my lanai door frame, which is where the water was coming from. Back to the flashings...so he installed flashing on roof with the hopes it would stop the water coming in from the bottom and that cost me $1350. It did, however, now there was a leak coming from the lanai ceiling, which wasn't before. When it rained, I videoed the water coming down and sent the video to him...he came back and took a look and said he saw nothing and if he were to come out again he would have to charge me. Well, it rained and i sent another video and this time, no response...however i was notified he read the text. I texted him again to tell him I contacted White aluminum, the company who did my lanai to begin with and they would come out and see if they could fix my problem. THAT text he responded to by saying " I did not get your text yesterday, my fault". Well, today they come out, IMMEDIATELY identify where the leak is coming from and says" get Dan back out here because he did a terrible job"...then proceeds to show me pics of a hole(which is where the water is coming from), exposed nails, and the side of the flashing that he was able to lift up(which he wasn't supposed to be able to do). Needless to say, he pulled up all of Dan's work, installed a new flashing that was securely placed under the shingles(at least 3 rows up), corked up any open spaces around my door frame and fixed a few things with the lanai frame...all for $200. I texted Dan with photos and explained what was explained to me, he READ it and hasn't responded with an " Im sorry" or nothing. I am very disappointed and feel like he took advantage of me not really knowing what was going on. But lesson learned never to be forgotten.

We contracted Dan the Handyman to install a shower door in our just completed tile shower. Dan came…read moreand looked at the installation a couple of weeks prior and was given printed instructions from the manufacturer. On August 29, 2025 Dan and his helper arrived to install the shower door. He did not have the correct size or type of carbide drill bit to accommodate the anchors supplied with the door. He mis-drilled many holes and installed the shower door no where near plumb or square, with a lot of extra holes exposed. When confronted about the installation, he said he had insurance and would make it right. We had a phone conversation with Dan on September 2, 2025 and he asked for an amount we are seeking. To be fair to both parties we told him that we would attempt to get the tile replaced on a time and materials basis. He has since ghosted us with no further contact. Dan has no skills or integrity. Do not hire!!!
