Despite numerous attempts (and diagnosis time/effort), Outlook just refused to connect up with my email server (Google). I used Yelp, rather than the 800 number (which reportedly is slow in responding). Well a Yelp inquiry wasn't much faster as I didn't get a response for a day and one half. The good news is that Ken got back to me and things went well after that. We set up a remote access day and time. The remote access works really well and he was able to figure out a couple of details that were blocking the connection (cached incorrect credentials, Google Access issue, Registry issue and 7 unneeded and worthless .OST files). He even suggested a better virus protection software product along with improved Ad Blocker software. I am very pleased with the knowledge and support of Ken. They charge for a minimum of one hour and he had me working in 40 minutes. He told me that if I have another issue, I can use the remaining 20 minutes of help.

I had taken it to a competing repair shop and they said my drive was unrecoverable. But clearly they did not have the knowledge that Yoga Bear has. Theo recovered the vast majority of my files. He was communicative, friendly, and so helpful! I couldn't be more pleased with the service and expertise I was provided. I will 100% turn to Yoga Bear for any future tech mishaps and will be referring all my friends! Thank you guys!!!!!

Shortly after discovery and anxiety over what had happened, I received a call from someone representing iLockout! I learned later that they found I had a need for their help because their software searches Google looking for my problem, no matter the size of the Website. An unconventional introduction, yes, but through pleasant conversation and my looking for anything bad about them (nothing found), I agreed to let them help as I had no idea what had happened and what to do to fix it. All was explained in greater detail because I really wanted to learn about this new scourge. Hey, I'm Mr. Gadget® who reviews and reports on consumer tech, and not a Webmaster, though I post all my own stuff. In short order, all was well, with ALL credit to iLockout, a company at the forefront of the (sadly) burgeoning business of fixing and continuous monitoring and protecting Websites from such malicious attacks. I've since vetted the company more fully. You know I'd never steer you wrong. MY reputation is also on the line here. Take it from me, they ARE the real deal. No one can fully protect against so-called Brute Force attacks, as one example, wherein bad guys bombard sites, attempting to break in and then plant their nasty seeds. iLockout recommends how to do a better job at protecting one's online presence. They can also do all the fix-it work for the client. Just as no one with any sense would operate online without anti-malware software, it is now time to protect one's Web presence in similar fashion. I am extremely satisfied with their service, for which they asked no up-front payment. I am pleased to recommend, make that URGE others to seek their counsel proactively. Talk to them BEFORE the need as prevention is lots easier than what I had to do, essentially shutting down and doing damage control. With their help and your participation (unless you want to turn it all over to them), you just might be saved from such heartache.

After spending another 5 minutes on the phone with Brady I realized I was being paranoid. There are millions of hacked websites out there at anytime. Plenty of business! Anyways, these guys are great. They answered every question I had and kept me informed every step of the way. They said they would have my site off of the blacklist within 48 hours, but it actually took them less than 24. (I realize this is out of their control as Google deems when you get off but still.) Come to find out, not only do they disinfect your site, they protect it as well! Every fix comes with a year of security (daily scans of your site). They also offer up a vulnerability report to show you how they believe the hacker got in, and offer suggestions to beef up your security. Overall, I was extremely pleased, and rather lucky that these guys actually CALLED ME. I am the Marketing Director for a company that rents large digital displays to events and one of our main strengths is our internet presence. We CANNOT afford to be down for even a few days! I am guessing if you're reading this you had your suspicions as well. Stop being paranoid and let these guys do what they do best!

I tried one computer place in Roseville that claims they specialize in data recovery, but was told "your files are corrupt, sorry". Next thing I know, I got a call about recovery data from my hard drive for $1000! On top of that, I got chared a $45 diagnostic fee. Are you kidding me?! So I went back there to grab my stuff, and decided to see if they can lower the price. I started to talk to the owner (chinese guy named Brian or Ryan) about my problem. He was a slick talker (must of been a salesman) and started going on and on about scratching noises. Of course, not knowing anything about computers, I said yes. The data recovery took over 2 weeks and I got nothing! I took matters into my own hands and did some research online. I went and bought a SATA to USB drive. I plugged the hard drive to the SATA to USB drive, plugged the USB to my computer, and made it my secondary drive. All my data showed up! My recommendation: if all else fails and you have to go there, watch out for the owner Brian or Ryan. Don't let him fool you into purchasing over priced services you don't need. Watch them diagnose your hard drive first before you make any final decisions. I GOT RIPPED OFF!!! These are their prices. It is better to make inform decisions than get ripped off! http://www.nodata-nocharge.com/DataRecovery_PricingGuide.asp?submenu=1

They've set up 5 of our properties across Placerville, Auburn, Pollock Pines, Plymouth, and Rancho, with and when we need service, they show up. Period. They answer calls, respond to texts, and understand that I'm not exactly the "wait patiently" type when something needs to get handled ... and every single time, they come through. Their security camera systems are high quality and exactly what we needed and are dialed in positioned exactly where they need to be, with easy access from both our office and our cell phones. That level of setup and functionality makes a huge difference in day-to-day operations. That kind of reliability is hard to find. Good people, solid work, and dependable when it matters. Appreciate you guys Eve ~

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been trying to contact our representative since March, and have…read moretried to contact HSE multiple times with no answer every time. I have been double charged for months and I want to prevent that from happening to anyone else. I would like to formally file a complaint regarding my experience with Home Security Experts, an ADT Authorized Dealer, and specifically Sales Representative Jesse Soltelo (Dealer License #12352). My family originally purchased ADT equipment and monitoring services through Home Security Experts in November 2024. We had no billing issues and were satisfied customers until we moved residences in March 2025. Prior to our move, I contacted Jesse Soltelo to discuss transferring our existing ADT service and equipment to our new residence. During that conversation, I was informed that rather than paying the approximately $200 transfer fee, he would cancel our existing service and enroll us in a new account with new equipment and services at our new address for no cost. Based on those representations, we proceeded with the new installation. On March 20, 2025, I received a DocuSign contract for the new installation. The agreement reflected an installation fee of $99; however, I understood that amount would be waived, and the documentation indicated a balance due of $0. Despite this, we were subsequently charged the $99 installation fee. I immediately contacted Jesse regarding the discrepancy. He acknowledged the issue and informed me that the $99 charge would be refunded. To date, I do not believe we have received that refund. Shortly thereafter, we discovered we were being billed for both the new account and the account associated with our previous residence. I again contacted Jesse and asked whether the prior account had been canceled as promised. Rather than responding via text message, Jesse called me and stated that he was unaware we were still being charged for the previous account. He assured me that he would take care of canceling the old service. When no resolution occurred, I followed up multiple times. After additional conversations, Jesse acknowledged that we should be refunded for the months we had been charged since our move and confirmed both our previous and current addresses. However, despite those assurances, the issue was never resolved. Following those discussions, my messages began going unanswered. Eventually, my text messages no longer appeared to deliver, and I was unable to obtain any further updates regarding the status of our account, cancellation, or refund. As a direct result of these failures: * Our previous account was never properly canceled despite being represented as canceled. * We have continued to incur charges for monitoring services at a residence we no longer occupy. * We were charged for two ADT accounts simultaneously. * We were charged a $99 installation fee that we were told would not be owed. * We have spent significant time attempting to resolve this issue through the salesperson who originally handled our account. * We are now receiving repeated collection and billing calls from ADT regarding the account associated with our previous residence. The most concerning aspect of this situation is that we relied on the representations made by your sales representative. Had we been informed that the original account would remain active or that we would continue to be contractually responsible for both accounts, we would have handled the move and transfer process differently. Instead, we followed the guidance provided by your representative and are now facing months of duplicate charges, ongoing collection activity, and concerns regarding potential damage to our credit due to an account that should have been canceled when we moved. I respectfully request the following: Immediate cancellation of all ADT services associated with our previous residence. A complete investigation into why the prior account was not canceled as represented. A full refund of all monitoring charges incurred on the previous residence after our move date. Review and reimbursement of the $99 installation charge that we were advised would be waived. Written confirmation that any delinquency, collections activity, or negative reporting associated with the prior account will be corrected and will not impact our credit. A written explanation of what occurred internally and why this issue remained unresolved despite multiple communications with your representative. I have retained screenshots of my communications with Jesse Soltelo, call records, and supporting documentation regarding the installation agreement and account activity, which I am prepared to provide upon request. I have been double charged since MARCH OF THIS YEAR. I sent my original email back in May with no response, due to lack of resolution I will now make my family's experience public. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would give zero stars if possible.
