I felt kind of guilty for seeking this place out (a friend who lives nearby recommended it) in the…read morefirst place, since I've been trying to economize lately. And having read some of the earlier reviews, I was prepared for this place to sell $200 scarves and candles. That being said, Nest does indeed sell high-end merch like jewelry. It would not be out of place in the South End. The walls were full of art from a local photographer that was amazing, but I don't have $325 to drop on a 24 x 8 inch panel right now. It's definitely one of the best-smelling stores I have ever been to, but the most expensive candle was $48, not two bills. However, there was a pretty sizeable selection of "reasonably priced" items, like $24 scarves, wine racks on sale, little foodstuff items, hair accessories. I ended up picking up two $12 leather-and-studded headbands which were cool. It's definitely the kind of place where you're either shopping for yourself or a woman whose taste you know really, really well. Because you're dealing with a home store with an independently-curated selection of stuff, the gifts aren't safely generic like Pottery Barn or Williams-Sonoma--I hope that makes sense. I really have a bias against indifferent customer service. So the only serious ding was that the woman behind the counter basically did not acknowledge or speak to me until I asked if I could put the headbands at the register while I shopped some more--she was sweet as could be and chatty after that. There was only one other customer in the store, who also got ignored until she made a purchase. I don't like feeling like I have to pay to get a hello out of someone. But I'll definitely be back again sometime the next time I'm in the nabe.

The store 'Nest' is just as charming as it's name. It's one of those sweet little stores, in a…read morerandom location (Dedham Center) which you either miraculously discover or know through word of mouth. However, more people should find this hidden gem..!! From shabby and fun home decor to funky rugs, jewelry, candles and bags, they've got a nice mix of hip designers and styles. It's similar to the store Anthropology, however less pricey and not a chain or large business. I was just there today and purchased a fabulous Angela Adams rug, full of textures, moss greens, rich browns and honeys. This great little store is sure to inspire whether it be home or self..

Gary inspected the ring in great detail and made a recommendation to remove some of the shank and rebuild it, as well as to place tension springs to prevent spinning and slipping. He took his time to measure my finger for the optimal fit. I was told by another jeweler that all of my prongs needed replacement and I wanted a second opinion. Gary again took his time to inspect all the prongs and reassured me that they didn't need replacement. I was very glad for his honesty. The next business day, Gary fixed the ring in 3-4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was so nervous previously to entrust someone with my ring, but I felt at ease. Gary offered that I stay and watch the entire process. He told me to inspect my gemstone carefully after his job was complete as general good practice after having my jewelry worked on! I am so happy with the end result and strongly recommend this jeweler. The key factors that impressed me most were honesty, trustworthiness, attention to detail, patience, mastery of his craft, and sharing of knowledge/providing an understandable rationale for his decision-making. I will absolutely be returning for intermittent ring checks!

Every time I've been here has felt relaxed, and not busy/loud like other places I've tried On all my visits here I've always had Briana as my stylist. Friendly, fashionable, and listens to my issues. I came in initially because another stylist had given me a very disappointing dye job. I was really frustrated because my "ombre baylage" looked more like tiger stripes. She blended and softened and did a little color correction. I was so very pleased with the outcome. And it didn't cost me my first born child like most salons. She recommended some color-helping products and I am glad I splurged for salon quality products to go with my new great dye job. The color still looks great weeks later. I've since gone back for a few inches off and reshaping my layers and again, got what I asked for. Thanks girl. highly recommend

I find her better than stylists on Newbury Street. Laura is an awesome colorist as well. I have had many different colors and all came out just the way I expected them to. Few washes and their worn thin to the point of holes. Greedy. The whole franchise is super greedy. Pricing goods they get for free for more than their worth. I'd give a lower score if I could.
