My elderly father was in need of a COVID test to be able to fly out of the country and I searched online for a nearby facility offering the tests with flexible schedules and appointments available. I called several different places and decided to make an appointment at Reliant Urgent Care in Montebello. The staff was kind, compassionate and caring with my father. They were able to assist us quickly and efficiently and answered all the questions and concerns we had. They were also compassionate with my father as he is elderly and a little tough to deal with. It is what you expect when you go into a medical facility but don't always receive that type of care. At Reliant Urgent care in Montebello we did! Additionally, we felt safe and secure the entire time there. They followed proper social distancing guidelines and were cautious with the testing ; making us feel comfortable and safe. Pros: clean facility. Short wait time for a Thursday morning. Cons: no one (patients and providers included) besides one nurse was wearing a face mask. Another nurse who administered my step throat and flu tests (swabbing of the throat and nose) did not have on a face mask OR even gloves. read more

I went in for a preemployment drug test. Wait time is typical of any doctors office. What did stand out to me was the level of care that the front staff has towards patients I did not get her name but she was working front desk at about 12:30 PM on a Wednesday, she was very polite and answered every question I had about other test that I needed to do... Jaime was also working front desk and he checked in with me after I had waited a few minutes without any interaction. While sitting there, I could hear his conversations with other guest checking in and over the phone and I couldn't help but think that he is exactly the type of person you want working a front desk, he seemed very sweet and knowledgeable, respectful and professional. read more

I am an avid believer in community resources so going to my local community urgent care for a workers comp injury is common practice when you work for a living . I was hesitant to come here after some past experiences but life brought me back ..... The Difference is night and day , new management made it feel like a valet experience . DR DOESNT CARE! DONT COME HERE!!!! I have asthma and was highly congested. My voice was hoarse. No fever, pain, aches; nothing to make you think its covid. I go to see if they can help figure out if it was my asthma or laryngitis or something! But the woman Dr, with blonde hair and skin that looked freshly sunburnt, came and looked at me for less than 5 minutes, told me to take a rapid covid test ($150) but i cant afford that test so i said no. She looked at me like i was stupid, walked out of the room after telling me that basically nothing was wrong with me and i just need to take a test. I hear her tell her staff that im refusing to take the test. That Dr made me feel stupid for even seeking treatment. The rest of the nurses were very nice but that dr is only there for profit. Do not go here unless you have an entire day to waste. Made an appt for my husband and I to get rapid COVID tests at 2 pm and had to wait in the car until after 7pm. What is the point of an appt? And since their "filing system" is just filed out on their desk, people who came after us were given their tests first. Not to mention that on one of the bathroom trips we made due to having to wait all afternoon/evening I hear a man in pain who had been waiting for 4 hours to see the MD on duty. The staff couldn't be bothered. There was also a woman who came in who had booked an appt online and she was told they had canceled all appts after 5 and unless she had pre-paid she couldn't be seen. Great customer service again! Speaking of staff, the workers at the front desk are rude, don't listen, and have major attitude. Never again will we go here and I will be sure to tell those I know to avoid this place at all cost. Not to mention their phone number is to an answering service which will keep you on hold for almost 30 min just to have them out you on hold again while they call the actual office. I will say the one positive thing is that the girl doing the actual test was pleasant and polite and the office itself looks upgraded and new. This gets them one star. read more

Waited in appointment line for a COVID test for 3 hours. One person ahead of me and a city worker walks in and cuts us and receptionist checks him in. I ask the receptionist why you let him in and she reply that he had an appointment. I explain that we in this line all have an appointment and you just let that person in. In this case during Covid 19 & reliant Urgent care been a Covid testing site I witnessed that the MA or CNA who was taking the test did not wipe down the chair patients used to test for Covid Nor did she spray the room with disinfectant spray after patient finished testing she did not wait a half an hour in between patients and I noticed all this through the glass window from the parking lot while waiting for my daughter's take a Covid test. With this being An urgent care facility and knowing that the numbers are rising and this been a key place for test taking you would think that their would be a protocol in place to be followed to provide safety for the next patient who is testing for Covid. I came in with a double ear infection with major hearing loss ( I could barely hear someone talking right in front of me) and acute pain. The PA's name was Alexandra Barbeau. She prescribed antibiotics but REFUSED to provide prescription ear drops for the fluid/blockage, saying "they don't do that" and that my hearing would gradually return once I'd start taking the antibiotics. 5 days later my hearing had not improved and the fluid build up had not subsided a bit. In every instance I've gone in for an ear infection I've been given drops at the very least. The nurse was much more diligent and even double checked with the PA over some of her oversights that didnt even sound right to him. You really have to be pushy with these floater physician assistants at walk in clinics. They simply clock in and run off scripted responses that you could find in a google search with no individualized assessment of the patient. Clinics are a great substitute for the ER but 9/10 you cant trust them. You'll only get real answers from an actual doctor. read more

Wow! Im not usually one to leave a review, but the experience I had at reliant urgent care in Montebello really impressed me! The location is clean, which is important during the pandemic. Not all locations offer that! The staff m, and the office manager .... I believe he told me his name was Walter? They were friendly and made an uncomfortable situation, pleasant. (No one like to go to urgent care) since I had to be there, it was nice to be treated so well. Lastly, everything was very organized! I appreciate the attention to detail. I hope to not have to go to urgent care again any time soon, but if I do I will definitely be back here. read more

I walked in as an urgent care patient and everyone was very attentive and courteous from the beginning 'til the end of my visit. The worse Urgent Care facility. It's unfortunate that having an HMO plan restricts us from going to a medical place we will actually get the best care and service. With the IPA group I'm in network with, this urgent care is the closest one available. Let's start with checking in. The lady in the front was rude, unprofessional, and lack of a better word ghetto. I did not have my medical card available so I was providing her my member ID and group number from the information provided to me by Blue Shield. After back and forth with her saying she couldn't locate my info this and that she had me call the insurance company again to verify. When I finally did, she said she was unable to locate my info because the system was down. Really ? Can't I just see a doctor if I'm not covered?!? Bill me ?!? Of course I'm sick with flu I had no energy to tell her this. Well, she concluded she would check me in but if I wasn't covered I would have to pay for services. Finally. Ok, Got it ! 45 min later I asked the lady in front if she had checked me in. She said No, not yet. Wow. I had her return my ID and left. Point of this. If the minute you walk into a location with this type of service I cannot even imagine what the level of client care is behind that door. Where is the integrity, empathy... I contacted my insurance company and changed my medical group all together to avoid ever having to go back to this place. Then I asked for another Urgent care local I'm in network with and went there. As a professional in the medical field, I believe that people deserve the best care from the moment you step into a facility. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. I paid for a 24 hour Covid-19 PCR test for an international flight. After getting to the facility, they told me I have to pay double because they only have 1 hour PCR test on site. It was incorrect advertisement on their web site, but they refused to honor the price. Then after taking my extra money for the 1 hour test, they mixed up my test records and failed to email me the test results. Luckily, my flight was next day, so I could go back to the test center can make them find my test results and give them to me so I could travel. I work in a medical office and its very unprofessional to allow patients sit in the lobby, with no update on why we are all here for 3 hrs. I have seen 4 people come out from the back and alot of patients in the lobby leaving. Then the MAs are laughing out loud to each other saying byeee behind the patients back who are leaving. No update saying provider is at lunch or anything. I come here to avoid the E.R and is unable to see my PCP asap. And this is the Montebello location! If you don't like your job or dealing with people you should consider another profession. The second person who came out was much more pleasant and sent the receptionist on her lunch. WARNING: If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I went 2 days ago to get tested for COVID-19. I called to get my results yesterday (48hrs after taking the test). The person that answered the phone (EVE) was very rude and abrasive. Before she got any information from me regarding who I was and when I took the COVID-19 test, she yelled at me and told me the results take 48hrs. (I was advised I could receive my results any where between 24-48 hrs after the test) I waited for Eve to finish yelling and when she did not stop, I interrupted her and asked her to stop yelling at me. She was so rude, I gave up trying to reason with her and asked to speak to a supervisor to which she replied, "I am the hospital director, and your call is going to be routed back to me." When I first arrived at this facility the person who administered my test was very kind and really helped me feel at ease about the uncomfortable nature of the test. The experience I had on the phone with an employee (Eve) at this facility showed a lack of compassion, care, and empathy. I was scared. I just finished watching a small memorial service of a close friend that I lost to COVID-19. All I wanted was to receive my test result. I work in the public sector and I couldn't imagine treating people who need and want help, so poorly. This is a warning, if you are sick, Ill, injured , or need help. please, please, consider utilizing any option other than Reliant Urgent care, in Montebello. After I receive my results from this location I will not be coming back. My Employer is also undergoing a number of changes. I will certainly contact our medical liaison about my experience and propose that we use another medical company to entrust in the care and well being of it's employees. read more

Staffing is pretty friendly but if you're in need of a Doctor, Dr Cheong?? I believe is her name is THE WORST physician I've ever been to. Completely unprofessional and impatient. My very first visit she wanted to give me a shot and couldn't specify what was in the shot. Also having a sprained knee, on my very first visit she tried to send me back to work full duty. She over-talks her patients and doesn't listen to them. Not even giving any eye contact. She needs to be evaluated during her practices. My husband and I made an appointment for a covid test. We found this site through the online state free testing service link after doing a Google search. We had to sign up for an appointment slot, had to provide our insurance information and fill out paperwork. You would think this would make our appointment time a quick one, seeing how "efficient" pre check in was. WE STILL HAD TO WAIT FOR 2 HOURS. Other people walked right in without having to wait and were put in the "VIP" lounge as if the urgent care was a club. The staff is slow and inept. Once we were finally attended to, we were told the price for the test was not free and they would charge us $175 for results. Waste. Of. Time. Avoid this center at all cost. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Honestly avoid this place at all costs. I went for the first and last time because my wrist was hurting. I arrived and signed in at 12 in the afternoon..got a room 40 min later. We waited and waited and waited.. finally the doctor came to to my room at 3!!! I was telling my fiancé, let's just go I have a bad feeling about this place but she insisted on staying since we had wasted so much time there already. I Should've gone with my gut feeling and the bad reviews. Doctor comes in asks me what's wrong, he makes me squeeze his hand and tells me I have carpal tunnel to go home and rest it. I saw this doctor for 3 minutes. They gave me a prescription that I still have to pay for out of my own pocket so after hearing what it was I didn't even take it to a pharmacy. (It was just a brace that you can pick up at any pharmacy) A month later I get a bill for $200 after my insurance paid $334.02 for a 3 minute hand squeeze?? They did nothing! No special equipment no tests. Just a simple hand squeeze will cost you $500. What the hell! I recently went to the hospital (emergency) for something way more serious where they did a CT scan, urine tests, and blood tests. Was there a few hours and actually had a doctor explain everything that was happening to me and who also gave me paperwork/research about my condition and guess what..MY BILL AFTER MY INSURANCE WAS $22. You have better luck going to the hospital that this place from hell. Avoid at all costs. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! First....the front desk, although nice seemed more into their own conversation them moving patients along. And to top it off they thought by speaking in Spanish would make it ok to talk like no one is listening. Then im in a room, and the med assistant was nice....thorough and took notes.
