Because I did not have $37 to pay the copay. They told me I had to pay the copay before they would give me my drugs. I am 84, kids never call and I am ready for hospice. I've had enough of the Hart pharmacies of the world. If you need meds do not go to Hart and Dilatush downtown without a pocketful of cash. I had spent my Social Security this month and I have 15 cans of corned beef and chili, my allotment of one can per day until I get my next check. Hart didn't show any shame about withholding my meds even though I told them I had spent my last dollar on cancer care (an electric blanket from Target because I'm freezing all the time). He's in a lot of pain with Spinal Stenosis, Arthritis on the Spine, and 3 herniated discs, so it is quite difficult for him to run errands or do much of anything. Today was the fourth time I've gone to Walgreens to pick up his pain meds and other prescriptions, and they were not ready yet again despite a phone call saying they were. Yesterday (4/7/25) he was told the prescription was ready. I went to the counter today (4/8/25) around 11:50am, and I was told that his prescription was NOT ready because the supply had run out and was supposed to to be re-stocked between 8:30am-9:00am that morning. They took my phone number to call or text me when it was ready. Now this has happened before, so I left and drove home and waited. After nearly 4 and 1/2 hours, there was no call and no text, so I drove back to Walgreens and asked for his prescription again. This time I was told they had the medication but I needed to wait at least 30 minutes for it to be filled. I waited in the pharmacy for 30 minutes, and I got a text that it was ready. I watched and saw them take it out of the bin. They had not put anything in that bin while I waited -- I watched! The prescription had been in that bin the entire time, nobody checked it. They went with what the computer screen told them, I guess. I'm so mad about them wasting my time. As I said, this is the 4th time this has happened! I purchased the prescription and went to my car. I looked at the prescription and there it was: Filled on 4/7/25 on Monday at 6:49pm! They had it the entire time. As always, I was lied to again by them. I had to repeat what I wanted. Suddenly I was holding up her line, and I was told that I needed to be more prepared when I go shopping. She started to get a nasty attitude with me. Since buying cigarettes requires identification, I presented a Military ID Card. She got mad because it wouldn't scan, it scans, just need a manager's override. I was informed that the Fred Meyer's does not accept any type of Military ID, as they are bogus forms of identification. When I produced my driver's license, she suggested that it too may be bogus. Discrimination towards those who serve. When she was done, I told her Merry Christmas, and to learn some tact. I got Merry F*ing Christmas and to shop somewhere else. If Active/Retired Military Cards are so bogus, please post that Fred Meyers promotes discrimination towards veterans and Military ID is not accepted.
