I would like to say dumpster fire. I have tried to get my prescriptions filled 5 times being met with a new "issue" every time. There was a 45 minute drive through line that didn't move once. 30 minutes in line to be told I must have filled my prescription somewhere else earlier today (Rite Aid was my go to, no other option), I called insurance they stated the same number was being used from my last pick up in September. They mentioned that didn't make any sense and that my prescription was closed out so they'd need to follow up with my doctor. I can't get a straight answer or my medications...very disappointing. I wanted this to be our main pharmacy bc of the drive thru window, but it's not worth that convenience. I wasn't getting any updates for my daughter's medication (which she desperately needed), and I tried calling all day long, only to be met with long holds and automated options, no actual person to talk to ever. Then I found that Walgreens will not be selling the abortion pill in several states where abortion is still legal. They refuse to answer their phone. Specifically the pharmacy. Walgreens corporate needs to fix this location. I'm ready to swap to CVS.

I would actually rate them at 0% if given the choice. This Walgreens never answers its phone. I have spent a minimum of 10 to 45 minutes placed on hold, and many, many times being bumped off (disconnected) and have to start all over again. It's infuriating! If I was taking BP pills, my BP would be off the charts by the time I was done. Certain drugs that I routinely order are out of stock or I'm given a partial prescription, which means 2 trips to the pharmacy to get one drug. I'm in search of a new pharmacy, perhaps one that is privately owned where the customer is treated with respect and most all transactions go smoothly. read more

My wife's provider called in a prescription for a medication (think not big pharma and cheap treatment). They said it would be ready by 11AM. Got a call from them saying that it was delayed. When we called back, the stated reason was an "insurance issue". We use cash pay for medications, so clearly that isn't correct. I decided to show up and get the med. I was then informed that walgreens doesn't fulfill that script anymore, even though they have in the past! It seems that the politicization of everything continues. They have delayed treatment for my wife....shame on them. read more

You will literally wait on the phone for a minimum of 15mins. I have called multiple times and each time I have hung up because I have waited 30mins. Today I waited all the way until I was first in line, it rang then went to music, rang then went to music about 3 times before somebody answered and told me they were all gone because of a meal break. I called at 1pm, the website says they take there meal break at 1:30! The guy literally just hung up on me. Very poor service. Do better Walgreens! read more

Never had a bad experience here over the last 3 years we've been exclusively using this location. Yes, do you have to wait a few minutes sometimes? Of course, but given the shortage of medical personnel EVERYWHERE, I think they're doing the best they can. read more

I've been using this Walgreens exclusively for over a year and I can confidently report nothing you don't already know. The pharmacy experience can be great or terrible depending on the day. If you're able to deal with then during off-peak times you have the best chance of success. Prices are high but selection is very good for speciality medical items and OTC meds. read more

This pharmacy consistently has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The lead pharmacist called me "dude" and the store manager was no help. I have never had a smooth medication refill and the pharmacy always claims it's the Dr.'s fault. I will take the store managers advice and shop elsewhere. read more

I always thought this store was ok. We stopped going there for our prescriptions because they stopped taking our insurance. I was disappointed because I liked the drive through. We still shop here for make-up and other items. This isn't what this review is about however. The other day I was waiting in the parking lot for my older friend who needed a few items. It was hot so my window was down in my car, and I heard some commotion coming from near the front doors. An employee was running out after my friend yelling loudly. She was yelling something like- did you pay for your items, and where is your receipt, I need to see your receipt?! The employee was being totally inappropriate. There were other people in the parking lot, and at the Red Box movie rental, that stopped what they were doing to look over at the situation. My friend's items had all been bagged by an employee in three large sized bags. Why would this employee think she had not paid for them? The items she bought were personal in nature, and could be seen through the bags. My friend felt humiliated. When she got it my car she had tears in her eyes. She has been a patron at the store for many years. What is with the bullying? If you have a question for a customer ask the question respectfully and quietly. My friend called the Walgreen's manager the next day and reported that the manager was dismayed about the situation and would take care of it. Kudo's to the manager, because it was a disturbing thing to witness. read more

Scheduled a rapid covid test, estimated result time was within 2 hours per the site. Got my results about 16 hours later, not quite rapid in my opinion. They fudged the collection time on my documents to be within the 2 hours, but a complete waste of time. CVS is a better option for a much more rapid (as in under 1 hour) result time. read more

Oh man so I'm not a normal bad reviewer but I can't not say something. And since you LITERALLY CANNOT speak to a human being with their call system to voice a complaint with HR or a manager then I'm hoping that they read these (probably not). There was a windstorm and snow last night and my doc sent over an e script to them but since their power was off they said there is no way of getting my prescription. They are antibiotics that I truly need to be taking like yesterday! No one will even answer the phone now so we can check to see if they are 1) even taking Rx today and 2) if they got the second one that was transferred to them. I sat on hold for an hour and 6 minutes and then was HUNG UP ON! So I called again and the same thing happened. This is upsetting and also dangerous. read more

This pharmacy is ridiculously short staffed. They are chronically overwhelmed and can barely serve their customers on a regular basis. Also, they seem to regularly run out out of commonly prescribed meds. They may be busier than other pharmacies because of their drive thru, but they are just not equipped to deal with *any* volume of backup. Looking forward to changing to a privately owned competitor down the hill. read more

Zero stars. I rarely leave reviews and seldom a negative one. This Walgreens pharmacy location has to be the most inefficient pharmacy I have ever used. Doesn't answer the phone, was hung up on after being on hold 4 times without even speaking to anyone, and has the slowest pickup line ever. Don't waste you time. They need a serious revamp of their system or to hire more staff because I have no idea how people actually get meds from this location. We had to transfer all of ours to the valley to even speak to someone. read more

Zero stars - showed up for a scheduled covid test at 4:00. Waited at window for 30 minutes, then took test. 24 hours later, no test results. Stayed on phone hold for 1.5 hours and bounced around from person to person; seeking a $128 refund since I had to buy a covid test from another provider. Still no test result, no refund. I would not trust this pharmacy to fill prescription drugs. I realize mistakes happen but then they do not treat you right when they completely drop the ball. read more

This Walgreens is horrible. The checkout personnel are friendly, but the pharmacy staff are very rude. They have no connection to their website. I ordered a refill for my prescription online but the pharmacy never acknowledged it. I had to call them directly to request a refill each month. There is no system in place for updating insurance information except going to the pharmacy directly where the staff didn't want to help. I had enough and transferred my prescription to rite aid which took three attempts because no one could tell me how to transfer the prescription. read more

Like Jeff wrote in 2010, this Walgreens on the corner of Grand and 29th has no unique traits, but it does fit in better in the neighborhood than it did years ago. The prices for the standard Walgreens type items - vitamins, cough medicines, snacks, etc. are a bit lower priced than nearby Rite Aids, and you don't need a membership card to get discounts on sale items. The store is conveniently located on the South Hill just up from Manito Park, near the Post office. It's a good location for a Walgreens, and every time I go there it is clean, parking is easy, and the clerks have been helpful. read more

They lost my RX after 4 days of "searching" for it, they failed 3x to fax it to another pharmacy, and they are RUDE on top of it all, and have caused me much physical pain due to lack of my medications! Nice place, friendly people, fast photos and prescriptions. They don't take quite a few different insurances so make sure before you go.

I have given this store three or four chances and it has not improved. Bad service, disrespectful management especially to there checkers if they have to come up and help right in front of customers, etc etc. Feels like I am in a low class greasy circle K gas station run by people that don,t take baths. This pharmacy is closest to my new house but after my recent experience with them where they decided to refuse to correct a mistake where because my Dr. office made an error in dosage amount, and called to tell them that and ask that they fulfill my prescription the way it should have been done, I am going to the next closest one for all future prescriptions. All they had to do was give me the same amount of pills they had been since September but it seems they decided to take advantage of the corrected mistake and hold back 8 pills. I don't get it. But my money is green and spends anywhere so that is what will happen. Note: I have given them a two because I am a skincare and makeup junkie and spend about $40-$50 on product each time I go in because they have a fantastic sales person in their makeup dept. named Letty! Too bad the store has to lose sales because of a little mistake their pharmacy refused to correct fairly. Oh well! read more

I cannot wait to find another pharmacy to move to and there are some great ones as I ask friends, and research. I have my several RXs at Walgreens on 29th & Grand as I have thyroid issues and fibromyalgia. They are a big conglomerate so don't have to make an effort to be nice to people, and most of their employees do not, even their manager is a big rude dip, with the personality of dog manure. Constantly even while using their inefficient website RX ordering system, I get home without an RX that was ordered, which is so frustrating and it happens constantly. One day, one of the pharmacists said to me, "Well you have to double check on all of that because it is a computer program you know, you can't always just rely that it will do it".... They may as well not even have the website auto renewal, or ordering system because most of the time it doesn't work and employees tell you that and that you always need to call to double check??? Ordering, then checking to make sure your RXs are ready for pickup, etc etc, waiting forever on hold, etc etc is just exhausting and doing business with them is exhausting. You could actually make a career of just being a pharm Walgreens customer as often it takes that much time between their people, their ordering system, then double checking and rechecking and calling before you waste a long drive to get there only to get home or have them announce when you get there that your order isn't ready in full...Some of their people, and pharmacists are very nice, others and the guy who works in pharm are plain rude, screw up all the time and then blame it on you! Walgreens now owns RiteAid which is sad, as the bigger they get, the less they have to try at serving their customers and the more arrogant they become like those at Walgreens on South Grand BLVD and 29th Ave. I've gone to Walgreens for the convenience of drive up window, but I hate every penny that I spend there when it should go to one of the smaller, privately owned pharmacies that I know give personalized service, great friendly service, and even deliver.... Believe me, I know how things go, how employees should behave, and how efficient they should be for their customers as I've had several successful businesses of my own. I just had major surgery and my Dr said he'd called in two prescriptions for me at my designation Pharm -Walgreens. AND, often my Drs ask me why the hell I do business there. My caretaker, ran to get RXs before she had to leave on trip last monday, shortly after my arrival home from hospital. When she got home only 1 of the RXs was there that the Dr told me to begin taking, and of course this happens all of the damn time!!!! I call Walgreens of course, "I mean who has anything better to ever do you know, but spend all your time on RX issues with Walgreens, right".... The gal somewhat rude, said, "You already have the the other prescription" - I did have it I then realized, but under an entirely different name than what my Dr called it and I was almost out, only two pills left, and my mother(Caretaker) was leaving on a trip for weeks and I am not supposed to drive for a month..... Walgreens never considers that Customers have a life too, deadlines, illness, surgeries, other issues, caretakers that have to catch a flight -NO, it is always about their NAZI regime! I wasn't timid about telling the rude girl, that my Dr called it something different completely and that I had none left! So as a wonderful favor, she said I could drive back to their store and they'd have it ready for me!!!! Ha ha ha ha, luckily and Late, my mother drove back to the store and got the prescription I needed to help me get well after major surgery! An hour trip! Walgreens on South Hill is a crazy place, and again a few nice great employees but most blunt, short, and rude as hell so to hurry and get the next in line, and they are in the "Customer Service and Health Business" and now taking on more like RiteAid, but doesn't have their own little stores together before taking on more!!! It is also always all too obvious that All of the people in Pharmacy are overworked!!! You wait on hold forever, every single time you call to make sure this time your ordered RXs really will all be ready this time, and every pharmacist is racing busy there, along with every pharm employee!!! It is the biggest mess of a business I have ever witnessed, and employees in Pharm all look like they are going to have nervous breakdowns - except for the young rude guy. I hope Walgreen's CEO gets to learn someday that people don't have to do business with him. He is supposed to serve customers, they are doing him a favor, not the other way around!!! CEO will have to begin to start losing money in order to clue it, because now he is just buying other pharmacies and filling the RXs as fast as they can and collecting the loot. read more
