Jocelyn did a great job on my hair. But she's newer and took 4 hours to do a cut and color. That's the only reason I am trying someone else. I can't sit for 4 hours because of my back. SOOOO happy with relik!!!! i've seen my fair share of hair stylists & salons & i've never been so happy with someone as i have with briche! i have brown hair naturally but have been doing blonde & platinum almost three years now. for years i would go see my husbands aunt at a different salon in american fork (that's now shut it's doors), but she is getting older & has wrist pain & cant take 6 hours to color my hair anymore. she referred me to a different stylist who i saw in december 2019, but she didn't get my color right so in april 2020, when i desperately needed my hair colored but had no stylist to turn to, i called relik (they have not shut their doors during this pandemic), i explained what i wanted to do & they made me an appointment with briche. i saw her the first time on 4/24. she nailed the hair color that the other stylist i saw last december didn't get right!! i wanted to do a light grey instead of white & she did it! she suggested i come back & see her to tone it, which i did last friday 6/26 & it looks freshly dyed, even though it was just a quick toning session! she's a little more expensive than anyone I've seen in the past but I promise she's worth it! the salon itself is classy, clean, & inviting. all the stylists there seem to know what they're doing! look them up on instagram or give them a call, but i promise you won't be disappointed you came here! read more

I have gone to Mallory 3x now and I have yet to have a bad experience. She is super knowledgeable and does a great job. An added perk of the salon is the fountain soda they offer while you wait for your hair to process. The atmosphere of the salon is great and everyone is super friendly. Few months ago I was looking for a great hair salon, as I needed a great haircut and style for an extremely important meeting. I called several salon until I looked on google and relik had over 300 reviews and still had over 4 stars. That was impressive i thought, and called for an appointment, they couldn't get me in until the day of my meeting. I was pretty excited and felt sure they could help. I wish I never went!! My hair tends to grow quickly, and has no volume and needed to layered it in some ways to give it some volume. Also it was very long to my mid back, so I knew they had enough to work with as I wanted a shoulder length. She washed it then dried it, then cut it, at first I thought "that's different!" I asked why, but she avoided the question by telling me a story. In the end she cut my hair and turned it into a dog haircut, she twisted small amounts of hair and then cut it giving a fray look, again I asked her why and she didn't really answered me. I asked if she could fix it and clean the front, but she just went on ignoring me at which point I simply thought she knew what she was doing. Before I left and after she styled it, she curled it, took a picture of the back of my hair. "Curled hair covers mistakes." Still with no volume except the ends that were frayed and she never styled the top or the front by my face. She Never measured length in the front from left to right, never fixed my bangs. It was a disaster. I ran to another salon and asked if they could fix it and told me no unless I wanted a buzz. They fixed few areas around my face and styled it in a way that didn't look as if I burned my hair. I have let it grow and now I can say I can do something with it. I would not recommend this place even. I understand that sometimes things go bad, but not only she never stopped when asked, but never answered my questions and left my hair looking like a sheepdog. One more thing I feel that all those salons that takes pictures only of the back of the hair should not be trusted. read more

I have experienced going there and having a horrible stylist. She did a horrible job dying my hair and then wanted to put me off for a week to fix. I would never recommend her or go there again. immature and no skill. zero customer service. This was my first time at Relik - met with Jennifer Parsons. I scheduled at the Orem location, which is difficult to spot; its hip rustic wood sign is more understated than many of the surrounding signs, so keep your eyes peeled. I have been in a hair rut for years. I kept my hair long out of habit, but always pulled it up, and was starting to feel a bit frumpy. Jen was AMAZING! She really listened to what I was looking for, reflected back her understanding of what I wanted, and then made suggestions based on my natural hair color and type. She spelled out what we were going to do, and double checked that that sounded good to me. Since I haven't had short hair since the fourth grade - and I'm past 40- I really appreciated her thoughtful approach. The end result was fantastic! I can't stop looking in the mirror. My hair is very fine, and she helped me choose a haircut that is so flattering. My husband hasn't stopped grinning at me with a twinkle in his eye since I got home. He keeps telling me how sexy I am. Nice looking space I just wish the people were a little more helpful. I wanted to get a haircut maybe a 10 minute service and the available girl wanted to leave instead. I understand when you feel you are at the end of your day and don't want to work more than you expected but that's what separates good customer service from poor customer service. I have followed Brittney Downing for years! She is the best hair stylist I've ever had. She does a Tea-Tree treatment on me following each appointment. She only does it upon request for new clients so make sure to ask. Of course, for me, she does it the MVP way and wraps my face up in a hot wet towel while she massages me scalp. I just found this salon & am glad I did. As a blonde, I have had many nightmare hair stories...too yellow, too orange, etc. Cynthia did an amazing job. She was very friendly, fun to talk with, professional, and great at what she does. Listened to what I wanted & took the time to fully blow out my very curly long hair, making sure it actually looked good without complaining about the time it took. I got my hair done by Alexa. I asked her to help me dye my hair from a grown-out blonde, back to my natural brown color. I asked her to only do this if she was confident that she could successfully get me back to my natural color. Never at any time did she tell me this wouldn't be possible, or that the color would fade quickly. Yet within a week after my appointment, my ends had already begun to lighten and the blonde show through. Now my hair looks two-toned. Alexa has been the only person to touch my hair in the past year, and I tend to go a long time between hair cuts and colors (3 months or more). I feel like if anyone should have know how well my hair could have taken a darker color, it would have been her. I understand that mistakes can happen with hair, but the thing that really makes me upset is that Alexa ignored the text messages I sent her following my appointment to let her know about the situation. I find this sort of behavior highly unprofessional, considering I paided her $130+tip for my hair cut and color. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to Relik Salon. read more

I moved back to Utah just over a year ago, and immediately set out to find a new salon/stylist. My hair takes quite a bit of maintenance, as I frequently color it and have the added work that comes with having extensions. My hair, in many ways, has become part of my 'brand,' so it's extremely important to me that it be taken care of properly. I travel a great deal for events (book signings, conferences, etc.) My first appointment at Relik was with stylist Cynthia Bennett, and I could not have found a more perfect fit. She is an incredible colorist, and always listens to what it is I want to make sure I leave the salon happy. I've been away for events/vacations and made a point of returning to Utah mid-trip just to have her do my hair, as I refuse to let anyone else touch it. She is that talented. I've gotten to know nearly everyone at the salon and they are nothing short of incredible. Professional, educated, and extremely personable individuals. The most unreal experience of unprofessionalism I've every encountered getting a haircut. I went for my appointment at 11:15, and they told me my appointment had been at 10:15, which is impossible because the girl who answered the phone and I had a chat about why I couldn't do it before 11. However, the woman at the counter decided that couldn't be true and acted as though I was the one who messed up. Had she admitted the scheduler had made a mistake and tried to make me feel like returning, it would have been forgivable,but this was not the case. Which meant that I had wasted 40 minutes of driving time (there and back) without even having my haircut. It should be noted that they never called me at 10:15, to ask if I was coming, which makes no sense with their narrative. My mother has also experienced weird cancelations, but I thought that because they have such high ratings on here, that it couldn't be the case. But it is. Who knows, maybe the salon has good haircuts if you can get an appointment without them messing it up. read more

Stylist stood me up and no one did anything about it! I had an appointment this morning at 9:00 am. I got checked in at 8:55 and was told my stylist would arrive any minute. I waited until 9:30 and my stylist never showed up. Even worse, there were two stylist in the salon and they never said a word to me or tried to call my stylist to find out where she was. Obviously horrible customer service. Also, while I was sitting there I noticed there were 5+ cameras installed in the salon. I'm sorry but if you don't trust your employees, why should I? read more

Went for a body wave and came out with a tight, frizzy perm. Wouldn't have been so bad if the stylist had accepted some responsibility for using curlers that were way too small. Instead she blamed me for the whole thing claiming I washed my hair too soon. I should have been tipped off when she had to read the directions on the box. When I called they said it was $75 for the body wave but I got charged $100. Overall the worst experience I've had at a salon. Not sure about any other services they offer but they don't take any responsibility for their independent stylists--just a bad way to run a business. I'm going back to Enizio even though it's further away. read more
