(web site is www.lutherauctions.com) They are truly selective with what quality material they sell. You won't find total junk here. What differentiates Tracy Luther (the owner) from all other auctions is that he is way ahead of his time in merging 'entertainment' with 'auctions'. Yes, Tracy Luther is a true entertainer, and a knowledgeable one, and he puts up a great show each time. Buying with him is fun that way, and I bet that sellers of estates achieve much higher prices with him, because buyers there are prepared to pay for the high entertainment value he adds to his auctions. What is also enjoyable is how well organized his auctions 'flow', without any significant hitch and they are very fast. Tracy Luther is even successful with his staff, as I experienced when I coincidentally met someone online who had worked for him for years and still sang his praise extensively. Yes, his own people love working with him. And, as far as cost, he is relatively inexpensive, with a 15% commission to buyer in a time where many charge an absurd 20% for much less. Tracy Luther is an auctioneer who should be a model for all, but is unfortunately still the exception.

I wrote a polite email regarding a possible issue with the lot. I get a call from Tracey and he approaches the problem with a flippant attitude and 0 care for taking care of the customer. I rarely frequent a place for this long. Apparently a few hundred dollars is more important to him than working politely and respectfully with his customers. Luther auctions is not an auction house I will do business with any longer and you better come ready if you have an issue because Tracey needs the money. Good riddance Luther auctions. We had a little different kind of experience with BEN as compared to most of the other clients. I…read morethink BEN might be super busy that time. BEN came to our house took all the pics and promised to send a detailed report by next week. We got the report and found many discrepancies, total square ft was not correct and he compared with other 3 houses those were around 500 sqft less than our house. Other houses have just a patio or one had a small deck and our house has a 14x14 four-season sunroom with underneath covered storage but BEN added 0 for that. Many other discrepancies too which I already talked to BEN, when he came to inspect the house. I requested Ben to look again at these missings but he said the report is fine and eventually stops answering the emails. We are also in the market for the last 2 years and bought another house too, we had pretty much an idea about the value and also got an appraisal from another agent, and BEN's appraisal was not anywhere close to that. It was so disappointing, we consider Ben must be super busy so could not spend sufficient time on the report or lack of market knowledge just getting busy to grab more business...
