After reaching out to countless real estate agents and relators in my area and never receiving responses, I was driving to work when I saw a sign outside a house that caught my attention. The minute I got to work, I googled the name and saw reviews for Barbara and how wonderful she was to work with new home buyers. I sent a quick (overly-detailed) email and I received an email back in no less than 1 hour from Barbara where we were then scheduled for a phone call later that evening. After a brief phone call that night, I was beyond thrilled to have her on our team. She was patient, answered all my questions and really got to know myself and husband as people and a couple which was great. She talked us briefly through the process and what to expect while being very honest, but never once making us feel out of our league. One thing I have learned is your real estate agent needs to be one of your best friends when you're going through this process. We spent countless weekends out and about. Almost every Saturday and Sunday and sometimes week days, depending on the listing. I swear, Barbara worked all hours as if we were her only client with over a million dollar budget (which is not the case!). Every question (no matter how many times asked) was always answered. She was available via text, phone or email anytime of day. And if she didn't hear from me- she would follow up just to check-in. Whether it was a house 5 minutes away, or 1.5 hours, she was on it. It was so easy and effortless to be with Barbara everyday and communicate as she's so relatable. I genuinely looked forward to her phone calls and emails everyday as I always got a good laugh! We always joked around and I never felt like I was bothering her, or creating more work. You completely forget you're a client when you team up with Barbara. She put so much of my anxiety about this process at ease and made a lot of what should be stressful and chaotic- enjoyable. Even in this market! She always kept our hopes up when we would feel down and reminded us that the house would find us. And here we are! We began looking in March of 2023, and our offer was just accepted on a house about a week ago, and all thanks to Barbara. In fact, this house we're in the process of purchasing wouldn't have even been on our radar without Barbara! Not only does she work hard to make your terms and conditions stand out above the others, but she worked with our lender directly in regards to offers as well, making us feel like we had the best team out there. She knows her stuff, knows her recommendations and works diligently. We're not done yet; but I've been so impressed by Barbara's expertise, relatable manner and non-stop work ethic for us that I couldn't help but pop in and leave a note of my experience even before closing- in case anyone else out there is currently looking with the same anxiety or nervousness I originally was. As we speak, I know she's making calls for reports and information on this future house for us while I get to take a breath and just enjoy the excitement of buying our first home! Their representative's electronic signitures have no date and time stamp. They try to get the buyer to sign first at closing, even though State law and common closing practices say the sellers sign first. They don't show up on closing day. They drag the closing process out for almost 4 days after the scheduled closing. They sneak a 2% Buyers penalty poison pill into a sellers inspection report (at the last minute)...Shameful. It is very difficult to get documents (with all signitures) from them after you electronically sign. Everything they do is designed to strip the buyer of their rights under State law.

My relationship with Jerry and his staff, has been off since the very first day I met him. He and select workers have harassed me continuously over the years. At open meetings, private matters have been brought up by management. I was being followed around the community when I was walking. Daytime, and early evening(after business hours). They would show up at the pool when I'm at the pool, trying to talk to me. I ignored him. I mailed Gervin management letters with dates and times of incidences. Never once did I get a response or an acknowledgement to my letters on the complaints about his employees. This past Saturday they mulched my back yard flower bed and pulled all of my creeping phlox on the one side out, but left the others. I am grandfathered in with maintaining my flowers, because I have flowers. They mulched behind my ac/heating unit and removed a black box that was placed back thereby the exterminator and left it on the lawn in front of the ac/heating unit. They had no right to remove that box and place it in front of my ac/heating unit. He hires non english speaking people to work for him, I'm all about diversity, teach them about different plants. They have no idea of the plants and the different blooming times. If it looks dead they pull it. I even have a note that I maintain my flower beds. But management is in the flower bed removing my plants and flowers. Today I came home to only my unit with piles of mulch just sitting there. They mulched my front flowers and left a mess. No one else has this Mess, just me! If your a single female, ladies just use caution. He will just show up at your house, no notice or warning, you do not need to let him in your house. Jerry speaks to non deeded members of the unit (my child) about issues that are intended for deeded members. He has no authority to speak with non deeded members. Will I recommend Gervin Management, nope never. The shady stuff that continues to go on with this management. A few years ago, when I was speaking with the owner of Gervin, Jerry, he made a comment about women and being taller than him, it was the way it was said. I stand 5'5", not tall but definitely taller than him. So, I've come to the conclusion, if you're taller than Jerry, who is a short shit, you'll have problems.
