This year however, I've been receiving somatic massage sessions from Julia, and the transformation has been truly life-changing. Julia is incredibly intuitive and brings such a bright light into the healing space. Through these sessions, I've gained deeper self-awareness and I feel more connected to my natural gifts. I've learned how to listen to my body with greater intention which has helped me in so many other areas of life. Julia creates a safe and nurturing space for deep healing, and I can't recommend her enough to anyone seeking holistic and transformative bodywork. Over the past few months in conjunction with talk therapy her work has helped me access and process repressed memories and emotions that were keeping me stagnant the past 27 years. I had began to think that my face had dry skin and then I had it confirmed when I went to get my face waxed. Consequently, I knew it was that time of year to get a facial done as this happens to me every single year. My waxing lady recommended Remedy Spa and off I went. First thing is first - to make an appointment, you're going to have to do that online. You can probably do it via phone, but the website was so much faster and it was very user friendly. They provide descriptions of all their employees and what work they do. At Remedy Spa, they offer facials, massages, yoga classes, and even a boutique to buy clothes from. They do A LOT, which is a bit scary as usually one service or another suffers but not the case here. I initially went in for a facial with Frankie and it rejuvenated my skin, so I said why not get a massage? Went back weeks later and got a relaxation message with Frankie. I nearly fell asleep both times. Heavily enjoyed myself. I do think next time I'm going to have to get a deep-tissue massage though. I've been having so much stress in my life lately that I have many knots, and well, it's time to kick it up a notch. I do have to say I will return for sure, I'm just not sure when. My pressure for the massage was perfect throughout. The hubs said he sprung for the aromatherapy add on, I didn't really notice it smelling/feeling like any other average massage experience so we both agreed it didn't seem worth it. My fiancé booked a couples massage for my birthday. I've never had a spa day and was kind of nervous. But they made me feel very relaxed and we're super respectful. They even checked to make sure the amount of pressure during the massage was good for me. My partner and I both enjoyed our massages and the overall environment. Also got a mini massage that was so painful, the next day it hurt to wear my bra ; my back and shoulder blades were so soar , Tender, and slightly bruised. New meaning to deep tissue massage. I had my first visit at Remedy today and my massage therapist was Taylor. I booked the 2 hour, whole body massage and it was amazing. We had a consultation before hand to make sure she was hitting the areas I needed and used the pressure I was comfortable with. She even let me pick the aroma therapy that I wanted. It was a high class experience and exactly what I would want, getting a massage. The owner, Chantal is amazing and truly cares about the customers and the staff. I can't say enough about how much about how impressed I am with Remedy Spa. Chantal took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, to include problem areas such as lower back and neck as well as areas needing extra caution, to include my right shoulder. I had several knots in my upper back and shoulder area that she worked on and she applied just the right amount of pressure. That night was the best sleep I've had in a long time. Regrettably I live in NC and was only there visiting.
