Needed to grab a quick lunch with the family before heading from the airport to Bloomington. We found a great spot in Reme's. Menu provided options for all. Food was well prepared with great flavor. We were there past lunch, so prep time and service were very quick. Server was friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. Dining room was clean and bright. For the last several months 6-8 of us have eaten here every Sunday after church and the food was acceptable the service was great but the last number of weeks the food has taken a down turn. They insist on serving bread heals for French toast and we continue to send them back (take a hint) the past several weeks the sausage and bacon came not warm so we are all in agreement to move on. I was headed out of town and stopped in to grab lunch before heading to the airport. This restaurant has not been open a very long time as far as I know. I ordered a ceasar salad since I didn't want anything heavy. The ambiance ce is family friendly and well lit with different sized tables laid out around. The salad was a disappointment to say the least. The grilled chicken breast was dry and flavorless and the dressing was not appetizing. There were two or three slices of tomato and some green peppers on the salad and a ceasar saladndoesnt usually have those. I also didn't appreciate that they put the dish with the dressing on the plate with the salad so it was touching the food. A lot of restaurants do this and it's unappealing. read more

Food was pretty decent average breakfast food. I think we were all good with what we ordered. A couple Meateaters omelets , 1/2 biscuits and gravy with French toast. A breakfast platter with sausage patties. Meateaters Skillet. I wish you could just sub fruit for the bread side. I didn't want bread because of cutting back on carbs. Got charged extra for fruit side. Gravy was ok. Not great not bad. Didn't taste homemade. Not sure we'd venture this way again. Nothing really bad. Just nothing really memorable. Hidden gem in Plainfield. Food is made with fresh ingredients. I had the Monte Cristo served with sidewinder fries and cup of chicken noodle soup. First, the soup was absolutely made in house and delicious. The Monte Cristo was authentic with ham, turkey on signature French toast. This was worth the 15ish minute detour to get here from the Airport Delta Hotel. You will not go hungry here, the portions are huge and the food was well prepared. So this has the hometown diner feel, which is not meant to be a put down in any way. I like diners. You can count on getting prompt service with good food, big portions and decent prices, all of which apply here. You get your expected dishes and a few innovative versions, so something for everyone. I came to Remes on a Sunday with my friend Rene. When I got there I said isn't it nice a restaurant is named after you. She said, "Denise it's Reme"s not Rene's". I thought that was funny. Anyway, I ordered an egg omelet with spinach and bacon. The eggs were fluffy and it was a good size. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. I ordered a side of salsa and it was amazing not to spicy, but with a little spice. Definitely homemade, it was so good I wish they sold it. Instead of toast I got French toast as my side. Delicious! I had breakfast while my husband had lunch. The hash browns were cooked perfectly with a bit of crunch. Bacon was done without being chewy or burnt. My husband's club was huge. I recently stopped in foe lunch at Remes as I saw they had a broad menu with choices that should work for all my family members. I ended ip getting the breakfast chopped steak and eggs with french toast. I seldom go out for breakfast but this seemed like a decent lunch choice and I was gladd I tried it. The chopped steak was flavorful and well seasoned. The french toast was excellent too. I gave the eggs to my wife and traded a piece of french toast with my son for two pieces of his pizza. I was surprised to find pizza that was homemade at a breakfast place but it was pretty good too. The crust was good and the cheese plentiful. The service was excellent. Yummmmmmmmy!!!! Chosen off Yelp for breakfast while we were in town and it didn't disappoint! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service and hospitality was so great. We ordered chicken fried steak, and 2 egg OE w/bac and HB (yes I was a server). The egg breakfasts come with your choice of toast, pancakes or French toast. I needed a little sweet with my savory so chose the French toast and it was literally the best EVER! Such great flavor with an outside crust that almost made it seem deep fried. We came here for dinner last night anxious to try a new restaurant that is not a chain. The menu has a large variety including breakfast all day, burgers, club sandwiches. also pizza, Italian and a few Mexican items. In addition there were specials, last night was chicken Parmesan and prime rib. It was difficult to chose given so many options. We both choose hot sandwiches mine was beef my son chose turkey. Our meals were served with a cup of soup which cane out first. Last night was cream of asparagus which was really good especially on a cold dreary evening. Dinner was delicious comfort food. The portions were large so much so we took left overs home. On the way out I glanced over at another table they chose the chicken Parmesan and pizza both looked so good. Hubby and I both had french toast with fresh fruit and a hot chocolate. I felt sorry for our server, she was the only one and was moving as quick as she could. Hot chocolate was really good, french toast was thick cut, nicely browned and the fruit on top was a variety of bananas, strawberries, grapes and some other items I can't remember, but it was fresh and yummy. Absolutely loved this quaint little breakfast spot! It is in a plaza, next to bdubs in Plainfield. When you walk in the restaurant, its nothing fancy. Its kind of like a hometown diner type feel. I believe they are more known for breakfast, so we came in for a brunch one Sunday. Booze is not available here, so unfortunately no mimosas with it! I ordered the Louisiana skillet, which came with andouille sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, potatoes, and 3 eggs on top. This skillet was FIRE. Fire as in so delicious that I was super upset with myself for waiting so long to try this place. My spouse got the banana crepes and biscuits and gravy, and those were wonderful as well. I cant speak for the other menu items, but if youre craving a fabulous breakfast skillet, try this place out! Even if not, I definitely recommend trying it. We will be back!! read more

Reme's is a new addition to Plainfield's growing list of independent restaurants (Yay!) Located in a strip mall just south of the Pier 1 at Perry Crossing, parking is plentiful and makes it easy to get here. The interior is simple with a mix of different sized tables and booths. The cashier stand is near the entrance and a sign indicates to wait to be seated. I was taken back near the kitchen and seated in a booth. The menu is very bizarre: Breakfast all day, American Traditional, Mexican (the Hoosier kind), and after 3 p.m., pizza. In addition to this diverse collection, there are daily specials. I opted for one of those which was a Chicken, Avocado Panini with fresh fruit and a cup of soup (Chicken Noodle). My soup was brought out promptly. Served at a temp that allowed for immediate consumption, the soup had pulled chicken meat, celery and carrots, and noodles in the broth. Nice flavor, but nothing remarkable. Just good quality ingredients. Then, I waited for close to 30 minutes for my sandwich to arrive. I was told that "the chicken takes longer to cook"...not once, but twice. (Since when? Mine at home doesn't.) Anyway, after asking for when it would be ready, it showed up in less than five minutes. Fortunately, the chicken was cooked just right. It came with sliced avocado and the flavor was fine. Not a lot of flavor depth, but still good. The fruit was fresh and diverse. There were seven varieties on my plate and they went well with the sandwich. My bill was dropped off at my table with my entree and I paid at the counter near the entrance. While staying in a hotel on a Saturday night near the Indianapolis Airport our family decided to eat at Reme's, a place we'd never been too. Our decision to go out to eat was last minute with our only requirement being we wanted breakfast for dinner. We knew nothing about Reme's other than it was within 10 minutes or where we were staying and it offered breakfast all day. When we arrived the B-duds located next door was bustling with a steady stream of business yet Reme's was completely empty absent the staff. We were greeted warmly and promptly seated, which you'd expect when you're the only customers. We weren't sure what to think, this was Indianapolis on a Saturday night so surely ANY PLACE even halfway decent is going to have at least one other customer, right? We were pleasantly surprised when our food arrived at the portion sizes when compared to the price. My wife had a special request regarding how she wanted her meal cooked, she orders this particular meal the same everywhere we go yet nobody seems to be able to get it right, but Reme's nailed it! Top it off everything tasted as good or better than expected. We aren't sure why no other customers were there when we visited, nor do we care because it feels like we found a hidden gem! We are already looking forward to our next visit to Indy and will drive out of our way if need be to visit again to try other menu items. read more

I stopped in here on a Tuesday mid-morning with my family. It wasn't crowded at all. The service was very good from the start. I ordered the veggie omelet. It's nice they give you the option of fruit or potatoes and you can also choose from pancakes, toast or french toast. The omelet was delicious, the fruit was good and the pancakes yummy. Remes chicken skillet is hands down amazing. I absolutely love it and their pancakes. The pancakes are the best I've had. You can't go wrong with any of their food though. The pizza is amazing (takes awhile but worth it). The nachos are fantastic. 10/10 love it. read more
