Must stop dive bar in Marquette. Not your typical dive though bc it's clean, the staff are friendly, and outsiders are welcome. Have Russ make you a 32 oz. personalized cocktail. This last time he made me a banana pineapple mojito! It was amazing and not too sweet! We always make sure to stop here when we are in town. The staff here work their butts off and try their best to give you a memorable experience. It was closing time. The bar tender was polite and came up to tell us we "weren't being rushed," as she cleaned tables around us. She then left the bottle of lemon Lysol (that she used to clean tables) on another table, where 2 other patrons were sitting. The Bar tender left the room. The so called "other patron" walked toward our table as she sprayed the Lysol in the air at us; so much that we were both showered with the Lysol. She then asked us the time. I told her it was 2:11, she rolled her eyes and told us to get out. I work in the service industry, I am a local, we tipped VERY well, and were treated with Lysol sprayed at us. Ended with hives on my face due to the lysol contacting my skin. A simple "hey I'm closing up, time to finish your drinks" Would have worked. understand what closing time is.... But lysol being sprayed at someone is not the way ask people to leave. read more

Russ and the staff at Remie's is top notch, cheap drinks and always the best place to push last call to the ultimate limits. 3 pool tables, a good crowd any day of the week. I was in town for 5 days and ended up here 4 nights out of 5 on the town. Great place with a great mix of people, and I ran into allot of old friends here. Top on my list on this place besides the staff. Is there 32oz $6.00 Long Island Ice Teas. Seriously if they got some cool little mugs to serve them in, it would give this place a little extra. This place has changed since my days as a youth growing up in Marquette. It use to be a real shit hole. Not any more. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Marquette. read more

The bartender on the surface was good, but ended up not giving me what I wanted for a mixed drink (altered recipe and told me after the fact) and beer for some reason. Apparent local rednecks harassed myself and friends. Didn't want to get in a brawl because I'm sure they outnumbered us about 2-1 or more. As my friend said, "they deserved a punch." Best bar in all of Marquette and the UP! I can't verify the accuracy of this statement, since it is the only bar I've been to north of the bridge. But I am looking forward to visiting it in a couple of weeks and taking in all of their exceptionally cheap drinks. read more

Remi's was THE place to go for last call drinks and / or cheap drinks in general. They have bands on occasion, pool room, and darts. Its once of the Marquette bars that is a staple and its safe for anyone visiting. Long bar, good shots, stiff drinks, cold beer, and the occasional scuffle outside, what more can you ask for. Remmie's bar is a great place to go for a good time. Their drinks are fairly priced and there's a good selection to suit whatever you drink. The staff is very friendly too. Their space is a bit small for the number of people they typically see per night; weekends are especially crowded (to the point where the group I'm with usually goes elsewhere) but it's not a deal breaker. This is my favorite bar in town. Russ is the best bartender I have ever had. He will make you a drink exactly how you want it. Plus, everything is pretty cheap. There are two pool tables and the seating is comfortable. The best part about Remi's is the environment. They truly make sure their customers are safe, including women. read more

Beware of the muscle head bartender. I walked away without my change only for a couple minutes. When I went back for it he said he gave me 17 dollars and was let down there was no dollar tip. I emptied out all my money in front of him and all I had was a 20 and two dollar bills. I was then ignored. It sux to get ripped off on last day of vacation when money is almost already gone. While asking around the next day I did not hear anything good so I am NEVER going back. read more
