I bought the $2k package which means I get treatment till it's gone. Which is great. But getting an appointment has been sooo frustrating. And worse, I can't seem to get anyone on the phone at the south Congress location. Since I signed up in Jan 2026. I've had two appts. Last one was Feb. next one is May! Because they are booked. I'd like to book a few appointments in advance so I don't get the dreaded "we are booked so it will be 12 or more weeks" message but so far that hasn't happened. I have bought 2 packages from them. Had no issues with the first however the second has been rough. I struggled to get an initial consult appointment due to a system error. Then struggled to get a first appointment. They never answered calls at my local shop. After finally getting an appointment, my second appointment was canceled by them however they made no effort to reschedule. I tried to call the shop but again no one answered. I called the 1-888 number and finally got a second appointment scheduled but when i mentioned all the issues i was having, it was ignored and i was talked over. They told me to just call the national line every time. They didnt comment on the system issue or the cancelation without rescheduling. On the phone, they were dishonest about how many sessions it would take to remove my tattoo and finally, when pressed, confessed that it would take many more sessions (thousands of dollars to remove). I initially started coming here when it was called eraser clinic, but as we know getting tattoos removed gets to be very expensive. I got the black Friday email and I called to see if I could pay for it over the phone due to me being unable to come in to store to do so in time, the guy I spoke to Logan(customer care team agent) told me there was absolutely no way that I could do that without visiting a location and basically told me tough titty... My girlfriend and I had back to back appointments today. Erin did our treatments today and she was super professional... she was thorough and explained the whole procedure from start to finish. The gal at the front desk who checked us in and gave us our paperwork was super nice and told us about their new Round Rock location opening soon that we are super excited about since we live up North. The only bad thing about this place is the parking was tough. We found a place after making a few laps around the parking lot. The building has a shared bathroom which was super clean. While you're waiting you can grab a water or soda from the mini fridge. The check in and check out process was a breeze. They got us set up for our next appointments and sent us on our way with a great goody bag with all the supplies we need to take care of our removed tattoos. I really liked how Erin took her time on each one of us. This used to be Eraser Clinic and they have been merged with Removery; I was an Eraser Clinic client and dealing with Removery has been an awful experience so far. I paid for a package with Eraser Clinic that included multiple treatments and only completed 2 or 3 of them before Covid-19 became a problem. I waited for awhile thinking I'd use the sessions once it was safe to go to non-essential medical appointments again, but now that it's obvious that isn't going to be for awhile I called to get the remainder of my un-used session payments refunded. Removery, a company that has performed no service for me and only has me as a client carried over from a prior company, to whom I owe nothing, has said they're not willing to refund the remainder of my sessions. I'm not confident going into a medical facility for something non-essential like tattoo removal right now, but even if I was, I know nothing about this new company and I didn't make any kind of agreement with them, and yet I'm now out a few hundred dollars just because they merged with/bought Eraser Clinic. The receptionist I spoke to said they would have a manager reach out to me but that it might take A WEEK. Sad to see they're giving such little priority to clients of Eraser Clinic, and not a good look for a new Austin business. The receptionist mentioned they've been getting a lot of refund requests lately and management has told them to deny them as a blanket policy, so if you're in the same boat as me and you're interested in organizing legal action against Removery / what's left of Eraser Clinic, feel free to contact me. read more

My first few appointments here went great. I felt like we were making progress and from what I was told, it would be a long process. When I went to the last appointment of my package, I was very disappointed. On my 6th appointment, there was hardly a difference from my 3rd appointment to my 6th appointment. I made my concerns aware to my technician after my 5th appointment. I felt that the last few treatments the laser was lowered. There was hardly any redness and no healing time. On my 6th appointment, I brought my boyfriend so he can see how everything works. During my appointment, I informed my technical that there hadn't been much or a change. She looked at my tattoo and said: "You just need to purchase another 6 visits, that'll be good." She repeated that statement about 4 or 5 times throughout my short visit. It felt like they were more concerned about getting money and selling packages, instead of properly addressing the client's concerns. Extremely disappointed. I always - yes, even when I got it - hated a tattoo on my midriff; it looked like a vagina-rose birthday cake... that's my best description. The design just didn't come through. I found a Groupon for Eraser and decided, eh, whatever, let's finally get rid of it. The Groupon didn't go very far; removal is expensive, almost $200 a session (and only a little less if you buy a package, which is advised). It also took a while, over a year in my case. The shadow of my vag birthday cake remains because it was lifted enough to make me happy; I said, this is good enough, let's move on. I was told it would take X number of sessions, and then it was a couple more, and it still wasn't fully gone... I was over it and fine with the progress that had been made. I'm not mad about this guesstimation, though; you can't really tell how long it'll take to lift ink out of someone's skin. The process hurts significantly more than getting a tattoo. The lasers are like fiery rubber bands snapping against your skin, and it will look gnarly after you're done; I had bleeding and blisters sometimes, for days, and other times it was fine the day after. If you can, plan to have someone else drive you to/from so you don't have to drive yourself home in excrutiating pain (it's worst right after you leave). However, the staff is AWESOME - some of them have also undergone the process so they get it. The majority of them are friendly and personable (they're nurses with special certifications) and super attentive about answering questions and doing follow-up. They also ask if you're doing ok and want to take breaks. Definitely take them up on the offer to hold a squeezy toy; you'll need it for the five minutes of pain. This is a whole medical procedure basically, so just be prepared to follow instructions. Otherwise, grab yourself a lollipop while you wait and get your blights erased! read more

I started my tattoo removal in a different state and was told I should be done after two more treatments. However the technician at this place said it would take 6 more treatments. I started laser treatment removal in Austin at the Eraser Clinic in 2017. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. They told me in the beginning that it would be between 5-10 treatments, and they were right. I have had 6 treatments, and the tattoo is gone completely in some areas. Hopefully it will be 100% gone in a few more treatments. I need to mention that I had 15 colors in my original tattoo - which hasn't helped my case. But I am very satisfied with the results thus far, and would definitely recommend Eraser Clinic! read more

This was my first experience having laser tattoo removal done. I was impressed with how thorough Karah was before proceeding. Before the actual laser process she used a cryo machine to spot numb the area. It helped lessen the sting of the laser! I won't lie to you though, it's true what they say, the removal hurts worse than the actual tattoo lol so be sure to take some ibuprofen before and go to your happy place!! Karah was very detailed in her removal and I cannot wait to see the results in 6 weeks. For 3 inches of removal it only took minutes thank God. Hopefully the black ink will be faded enough in one session for my tattoo artist to redo and complete a large rib cage piece I started 11 years ago! I will be back if I need another session. I'd been wanting to get an embarrassing tattoo removed for a while, but was nervous about a couple of things- like the pricing, scary stories of scarring & bad work from fake 'professionals', & how painful I'd heard it would be. After a concise consultation with the friendly staff (just two days after I called to make an appointment!), I felt so comfortable with them to start the removal process with them that same day! The pricing was reasonable, staff was very knowledgeable & made sure I was comfortable & knew everything I wanted to about the process, and they applied a freezing cryo-treatment to numb my skin before starting. I am very pleased with my first treatment- the process took less than a minute on my small tattoo, was significantly less painful than getting the tattoo was, and the results have been great so far. First, let me advise everyone to read the below reviews.  Yelp has its own formula for calculating the "overall," and it seems perplexing that so many bad reviews are below, but they have an overall 4.  There are a lot of reasons to avoid this place, and I will try to be brief. I started my tattoo removal journey with Eraser (which is now Removery) in 2018.  The tech told me she believed I would only need six sessions.  It's now almost the end of 2020, and I clearly need 6-10 more.  As a side note, they tried to blame me for how long it was taking, but as far as I can recall, I went in as scheduled except when they canceled due to COVID.  I am not clear if I even got all six (though they requested more money) because they have only provided 5 photos and I have lost track over the course of over two years.  So, count your paid for sessions carefully.  They do not provide any pain relief -- not even topical, and this is a very painful procedure (take a look and you'll have an idea).  I highly recommend going somewhere that can give you some sort of a block. Find a facility with a doctor on sight or a PA. As for my treatment, midway through, they got a new machine, which they told me would cause "pinpoint" injuries.  Instead, it looked like the attached (not at all how one would describe "pinpoint").  They maintained that this was a "normal" reaction at the time.  My good friend-- a doctor at a medpa-- did not agree that it was "normal" at all.  He immediately wrote me a prescription.   In spite of them assuring me that this was "normal," they canceled my next appointment (in August) because they said it was not healed.  I came in October-- and they told me it is STILL not treatable because their was still damage from the totally "normal" treatment back in June.  I now have to worry that I will be stuck with a half removed tattoo.  f this picture doesn't scare you off, you should also know that they told me they would honor pricing but did not.  Their excuse was they didn't have "access" to the pricing.  In my opinion, this company is both unscrupulous and dangerous.  People warn you not to bargain shop for your tattoo.  The same is true of your removal.  I would avoid Removery at all costs read more

I got a package for 12 sessions, which saves hundreds in the long run. I'm on my 3rd session and my tattoo has faded NOTICEABLY. I honestly can't believe it. My tattoo was very dark and intricate so I thought it would take a lot more time to show any progress. I won't lie- the laser hurts like a b****! They do numb the area with cold air to help. It kind of feels like a thousand rubber bands snapping you at once and makes a loud crackling noise. However....totally worth it. They also give you a "check-up" phone call the next day to make sure the healing process is going well. I hope to post my pictures soon once my regrettable tattoo is gone. I will be updating this review as I have more tattoo removal treatments. Eraser Clinic's website is easy to navigate and they offer easy online appointment scheduling. When I went in for my free consultation, the receptionist was friendly and the technician was informative without using high-pressure sales techniques. It IS pricey, but from what I can tell, the most affordable among quality places. Plus, they offer a discount if you get more than one area removed. My tattoos consist of lettering and a small color picture on my feet. I've had two removal treatments.The black in the picture has faded and some of the letters have just gotten blurry. I feel like the pictures on their website gave me unrealistic expectations about how quickly my tats would fade (after 3 treatments ink was completely gone), but they did say it would take six or so treatments for mine to be gone. While researching the equipment and laser they use to remove the tattoos, I found the manufacturer's website. The only thing that concerned me was that the before/after pictures on the manufacturer's website were the exact pictures Eraser clinic uses on theirs. The pics on their site lead to you believe they are of actual Eraser Clinic clients. I asked about this and the staff said they simply haven't been around long enough to have enough clients go through the roughly year-long removal process. (Again, skeptical, but I really want my tats gone.) So in summary, yes, the treatment hurts like a mother but is quicker than you think. It's much more expensive than getting that tattoo in the first place. But, if you have a really strong desire to get rid of a tattoo, consider this place.
