I was super skeptical about doing this whole laser thing. I did extensive research online. Most of the stuff online is so so. I got discouraged the more I looked online. Jill at Amillion was my Laser tech. The first day I went in for my consultation she said the tattoo needed to heal more. I went in the next week and she said it still needed to heal. This shows me they care about my skin! I went in yesterday 8/2/2013. She took a look and said we could hit most of the tattoo This is a big piece by the way. I soo wanted to get the anticipation of what the laser would feel like out of my head. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, but I'm a newb when it comes to this. When I was about to start the actual first laser experience Jill kind of shocked me. She seemed to get really professional on me. I kept felling more comfortable around her. She gave me a little test to see what it felt like. It wasn't that bad really. You will do anything you must to get what you want lol. The process does not really take long at all. Warning: Missing Shipment and Frustrating Customer Service…read more I've been a customer of The Medspa Austin since June of last year and have spent a total of $3,834 with them. Up until recently, I never had any issues when receiving my Trezepited shots in person. Nurse Practitioner Ashley Johnson and Dr. Paydon Newman both provided excellent care and really helped me achieve my goals--this review does not reflect on them at all. However, after switching to semiglutide, the first shipment arrived without a problem, but the second one never showed up. The UPS delivery photo was just a black screen, even though I was home all day. I filed a missing package claim with UPS and also contacted The Medspa Austin and the fulfillment company in Dallas. Everyone was polite and tried to help, but ultimately referred me back to The Medspa Austin because they needed to complete a form UPS had provided. Despite my efforts, The Medspa Austin would not replace the missing shipment, citing the "delivered" tracking information, and asked me to pay an additional $200 for a new shipment. I wasn't asking for a discount or a refund--I just wanted the shipment I had already paid for. This has been extremely frustrating, especially given the amount of money I've already spent and my previously positive experiences with their team. Until this missing shipment issue is resolved, I cannot recommend The Medspa Austin. However, I do want to emphasize that my negative experience does not reflect on Ashley Johnson or Dr. Paydon Newman, who both provided wonderful care.

From the moment the doctor came into the room, she made virtually no eye contact with me and seemed completely uninterested in listening to my concerns about my health. I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and as though my questions were an inconvenience to her. When I asked questions, her responses and demeanor made me feel as though I should already know the answers or that my concerns were common sense. No patient should be made to feel uncomfortable for asking questions about their own health. Part of being a healthcare provider is making patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable enough to advocate for themselves. What makes this even more frustrating is how long patients often have to wait for an appointment and how hard we work to afford healthcare, only to finally be seen and walk away feeling like we didn't matter. I work in healthcare myself, and I would never want a patient to feel the way I felt after this appointment. After reading other reviews describing very similar experiences with this doctor, I'm even more disappointed that these concerns appear to be an ongoing issue. If a provider has reached a point where showing basic compassion, patience, and concern for their patients feels like a burden, then perhaps it is time to reconsider whether patient care is still the right profession for them. I sincerely hope the practice takes this feedback seriously because patients deserve providers who listen, communicate, and treat their health concerns with respect.
