I started my removal journey in 2021 when it was San Diego Laser Tattoo Removal in Claremont Mesa, then Removery took over and I started going to this location when it first opened. It took me 5 years for this large script tattoo with the first few years spaced 3 months apart then 4 months and finally 6 months for the last year. I'm very happy with the results! I came to Removery to lighten a small tattoo (about 2" x 2") for a cover-up and was told a three-session package would be enough. After two sessions, there was essentially no visible change. After my third, I asked what my options were and was then told I should consider a full removal package--which was never suggested to me upfront. What didn't sit right with me was being told he had "pushed me" toward full removal. That's not true--and if they had, I would have purchased it. Instead, it felt like the situation was being rewritten rather than acknowledged honestly. The blame should not be pushed to the customer when a consultation was not given. All three of the visits the women that did the laser treatment on me were very kind and accommodating. However, the manager here needs a big lesson on consultation and customer service. I spent a significant amount of money and got Little to no result. I would not recommend coming here. read more

Update- coming up on two years and 14 treatments later. I have never missed an appointment. Tattoo now looks faded but still completely visible. At this rate I feel like we may only be halfway there. Results are minimal each time yet they say treatments need to be further apart. The day after treatment my skin is pretty much normal and you are unable to tell it was lasered, Extremely dissapointed. Also, this tattoo is old (got 29 years ago), is all black, delicate, and is on my upper arm. I was told these are things would be in my favor. Apparently not. read more

This location has been insanely difficult. Specifically, the NP. Beginning with trying to push the scheduling times out more than it needs (and more than agreed upon in consultation) and being very unprofessional and inconsistent. My fiancé has been getting a piece removed and ever single time we have gone, there has been an issue with them trying to push it further and further out even with the timing being weeks into the "safe area" of starting another layer. This piece will already take 2 years btw. The NP has been consistent in only one thing. SETTING AN UNCOMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. Starting with the friction of agreeing to a time frame and next appointment having to have the situation explained again and again. THEN there's the zero care for the patient by being rude/ standoffish in the room. We paid 8 grand here and we always have a bad experience. Why does this have to be 2 years+ of terrible customer service??? The first time we THOUGHT it went well was yesterday, BUT OF COURSE, instead of setting the second appointment, they rescheduled an appointment which pushed it back double. Okay whatever. Try to ignore it. We know there's always something. But of course, then the part of the tattoo we are saving and that was MARKED OFF, was lasered. Today it's swollen and raised despite being shown the a picture that had the section marked off at the start of the appointment. This review is for anybody with big pieces that are considering coming here, the formal complaint will be for the company to be made aware, and we are going to be going out of our way to a much further location because it's insane that $8,000 can't buy a decent experience with this location. SO FRUSTRATED. 3 hour round trip for them to not treat me. Not only was it extremely difficult to get a response in making another appointment after leaving 2 voicemails (with no response), sending an email (with no response) and calling customer service countless times of telling me they will "send a message to the office for me". After finally getting through to customer service who set up my appointment, there was no action of making sure my appointment was set up correctly. Once I went in for my treatment, I was told it would "take a couple days" to get clearance in a specific laser when I waited 4 months to even make this appointment. Lost my business and everyone else who has been following along with my microblading removal with Removery. I don't recommend this place as a customer since they don't take the time to complete their job. read more

I just had my 5th session(I think I will need 10-14 sessions total). I was considering going somewhere else because I didn't feel completely confident in my treatment, but today there's a new permanent nurse who is wonderful! I think her name is Janet (I'm terrible with names ‍). She went over instructions much better than the previous nurse and I definitely feel much more confident about treatment/progress. Appointments are fast and easy. My tattoos are faded nicely. read more

Had my 7th session here and I am so happy this location opened up! It's only a 6 min drive for me. Before I had to go all the way to clairemont mesa which was ~45 min each way. And that definitely sucks driving back when you're in pain. Checking in was a breeze and my laser tech knew what she was doing and had me out of there in 20 minutes. The team here is top notch. Will be going here until my tattoo is gone! read more

Had my 4th removal session today (1st session at the lovely new Oceanside location) I'm coming about every 8 weeks to remove 4 tattoos. The facilities are clean and parking is easy. Front desk seems super organized and call center is always friendly and accommodating. I've been working with Sheila, who is amazing! She has a lovely bedside manner and is very skilled with the laser. I had previously gone to another San Diego laser center that was very expensive and also more time consuming, per session. The method Removery uses is no lidocaine...so you have to be tough...it is no joke, quite painful! However, this method is much quicker, per session. Lidocaine injections took me about an hour at the other place, and in my opinion the needle of lidocaine is almost as painful as the laser itself, anyway. The benefit of lidocaine is they can be more aggressive with the laser and use multiple lasers. However, the sessions were almost 4x as expensive, so there are pros/cons to both. I think the method at Removery requires more sessions, but I liked that I was able to get a great deal with a package that will cover all my sessions until my tattoos are completely removed. They use the best laser that is available on the market. I feel like if a better laser becomes available they will incorporate it. After all, they are in the tattoo removal business, exclusively. (Unlike other places that don't specialize) Overall, I am very pleased with my experience here! read more
