This was probably the strangest eyebrow threading experience I've had. I stopped in for a quick eyebrow threading and tint. The younger employee who was helping me was kind, but while I was trying to explain what I wanted, an older woman repeatedly talked over me so the younger employee couldn't even hear me. It came across as incredibly rude and unprofessional. I don't know why some people think it's acceptable to speak over their employees like that, especially in front of customers. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere from the very beginning. After I had to move my car, I came back and asked if I could use the restroom before my appointment. I was told they don't have a restroom for customers, so I said I would cancel the tint and just do the threading because I needed to leave sooner. Only after I said I wanted to cancel the tint did they suddenly tell me I could use the neighboring business's restroom if I told them I came from their salon. At that point it was the principle of the matter. If you're unwilling to accommodate customers until they're about to cancel a service, it doesn't leave a great impression. Even after I explained I wanted to cancel the tint, I was repeatedly asked if I wanted to keep it anyway. I finally had to say I was ready to check out because I was becoming uncomfortable. The threading itself was okay overall, although the left eyebrow was noticeably more painful than the right. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that the older woman stood there watching the younger employee perform the entire service. Instead of allowing the technician to work independently, she hovered over her the whole time, making it feel like I was sitting in the middle of a training evaluation rather than enjoying a relaxing appointment. Getting your eyebrows done should be a pleasant experience. Instead, the atmosphere felt tense, uncomfortable, and unnecessarily stressful. She also had the audacity to ask me out of nowhere if I had cash or only a card for no benefit to myself. Only a card you're welcome for the payment. I have cash but not for you. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. One other thing that stood out: I arrived around 4:30 PM, and the business advertises that it's open until 7:30 PM. When I first came in, I also asked about getting a brow lamination, but I was told I had to make an appointment in advance. That's perfectly fine if that's their policy. However, when I left, there were no customers in the salon and both technicians were available. One of them even asked if I wanted to schedule a lamination appointment, but by that point I declined. I came in ready to pay for threading, a tint, and a brow lamination, but because of the overall experience, I ended up getting only the threading. That's a completely preventable loss of business and an unfortunate example of customer service driving away a paying customer. UPDATE: To the terrible manager Raman who responded below. I see why the service is the way it is. What part of talking over a customer don't you understand? Is it reading minds or talking over customers the only two options to you and your unprofessionalism? Yes, I was told there was free parking in the back. I moved my car to the back and there was no open parking in your spots and I told you all that, you twit. So what's your point aside from showing your aggressive temper with baseless retaliatory points as a "manager?" And who said I felt pain in my upper lip? You need to take a breather lol. I had the BEST experience at Rem's Threading And Beauty, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Mansi! She did my eyebrows and I am honestly beyond impressed. From the moment I sat down, she really took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted. She didn't rush at all and made sure every detail was perfect. You can tell she truly cares about her work and her clients. My eyebrows have NEVER looked this good -- clean, shaped beautifully, and still natural. She has such a gentle touch and an eye for detail that makes a huge difference. And the whole vibe of the place? So calming. Mansi is the only person that's done my eyebrows at Rems and she's always consistent and very good at her craft! Having my eyebrows done at Rem's was a breeze. I didn't know if I could walk in, so I called ahead to confirm, and sure enough, they took walk-in appointments. The spot was secured. The eyebrow service was done fast and very well. They asked me questions on my eyebrow preference which I hadn't really thought before. They told me their recommendation of thickness and it was a service well done! The service is a little more on the pricey end ($20 for eyebrow threading) but I think it was well worth it. I am a first time customer at Rem's Threading And Beauty since the usual lady I get my eyebrows done with is out on vacation at the moment. This place is a bit of a longer drive for me, but I wouldn't mind being a regular here because I had an amazing experience! I am truly delighted with Raman's work and customer service. I called in advance to make sure they close at 8pm on Wednesday's, which was confirmed, and I was glad I was able to make it because not many threading & beauty places are open at this time. I was instantly greeted by Raman upon arrival. She asked me what eyebrow shape I wanted and how full--and she actually took the time and effort to make my eyebrows look evenly remarkable! I also enjoyed our conversation, which made me feel more comfortable as a new customer. Not to mention, most eyebrow techs I've received service from RARELY seem as amiable or interested in making conversation. The place is neat. I didn't have to ask Raman to sanitize her hands before touching my face because she did it right away. Eyebrow brushes are one-time use, no plucking. My new neighborhood threading spot. On-line booking was simple & straightforward. My threading person was pleasant, knowledgeable & gave me good direction for caring for my brows post-service. She says she works on celebrities & my results proved that! She was thorough & went hair-by-hair, even took out a few nose hairs, which I've not had done before. I was very happy with the shape of my brows & clean upper lip. The salon is very well-appointed & immaculate. I will try their sugaring/waxing services, as well. Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting my legs and Brazilian done here by Raman. I had just got off work and I was searching for a salon that offered waxing with later appointments. I was so excited to find a spot, and booking online was a breeze. I made the appointment before getting home to shower. I had a 6 pm appt. and when I arrived I was greeted warmly by Raman. She went above and beyond with the treatment. Very professional, considerate, sweet and had excellent attention to detail. I have never in my 26 years of life seen my legs are silky, soft and smooth as I have them now. It's been 24 hours and my legs feel even better than they did yesterday. Throughout the process, Raman checked in on me with the temperature of the wax, gave me little breaks in between, helped me up from the table afterwards (laying down for a long time made my muscles all stiff lol). And we even pre-booked my next appointment to help me maintain these silky legs.
