If you love dogs, Denise brings her dog to every appointment. Denise's dog is well behaved and his calming nature helps me a ton. Therapy dogs are no joke! They do help people a ton. Their new location provides a ton of free street and neighborhood parking. If you don't have a car, they're right next to a bus stop on Armitage, so convenience is still there. This practice really cares about their clients on all levels (ex. mental, financial, emotional, and etc), so don't be afraid to try this practice. Plus, they have been really flexible with scheduling, which is a characteristic that other practices don't have (Trust me, I've checked).

I have been going for about two months now, and every time I go she pulls out something that I didn't think about and shows me a different way to think about it. She's been very helpful to me and I will continue to see her. Very professional and courteous, easy to get a hold of when you need to set up or reschedule an appointment. I often have to leave her a message because she's in a session, but she calls back within a couple hours. One time I forgot I had an appointment until five minutes after my appointment started, when I called her she allowed me to come in 30 minutes late and still take the full appointment time. Not going to be possible in every case, obviously, but she is flexible and will work with you. Obviously choosing a therapist is a very personal decision, and just because she is helpful for me does not mean she will be the best fit for you, but if you are looking for someone friendly, professional, and helpful, I would suggest giving Ms. Robinson a try.

I didn't click with my previous therapist, and that's okay.. Nonetheless, I cancelled that service because it was not a good fit. Months later, I tried to have therapy again. I went in with the same expectation as before and wow was I blown away! Nicole got back to me the next day after my inquiry. I see Nicole and she has helped me realize things about myself that I never knew and a different perspective, but in a very personable way. I think there is one reason for my thinking, but she opens up a whole new realm of possibilities and that there is just not one reason for my behavior. She is never judgmental and is very easy to talk to - it's like you're talking to a longtime friend. When there are patterns you're talking about or something she wants to Segway on to change your thinking, it's never done in a negative way. I honestly cannot recommend her enough.

I have never had a good experience with Erie! My daughter has been their patient since she was less…read morethan two months old. Yet, every-time I call they tell me she has a different physician and their records don't show she is a member of Erie. Even though this is the ONLY place she's been the last 18 months! Between the Waukegan location and Evanston location I don't know which is worst! Today I called to make her a dental appointment for the first time ever, got told she'd never been to Erie or had Erie established in her records, yet they see an open my chart. The schedule maker Victoria sits on the phone for 10 minutes telling me my daughter is not an Erie patient and needs to switch physicians. I tell her I'm not sure how that's possible because she's been coming to both Erie locations most of her life. She continues to say they have no record of that and I need to call my insurance company. I then ask her does that mean she can't set my appointment? She says she can still set it so I reply can you set my appointment then. This is after 10 minutes of her telling me I'm not understanding her ! Talking in circles but I'm just looking to set my appointment. She then puts me on a long pause when I ask her to set my appointment . The Waukegan locations receptions also have attitude issues. They never greet, don't acknowledge you, and always wait a prolonged time to call you up even though there's hardly ever anyone at the desk being help. A different account, Last month I had to take my daughter to Erie Evanston because the Waukegan location was booked very far out. I get told I have the first appointment slot and will be taken right away. We arrive on time! Still wait 30+ minutes and have atleast 8 people taken before us. Once we get inside I tell the nurse about why we're here, the doctor comes in and asks is this a routine visit. I'm like no I explained to the nurse why we're here .. she ask me to explain to her again. Before I'm even done talking she's telling me "well that doesn't matter, let's talk about vaccines". I was truly disturbed. My toddler had been going through it, I'm trying to explain what's going on and the doctor basically brushes it off. I asked to see another physician and the doctor tells me go see your physician then & tells me I haven't had my daughter seen since she was 9 months old & she's very behind on shots. I tell her that's untrue my daughter has had several appointments since then. She then gets on her computer and was like oh sorry, she has been seen just a different location. I tell her I obviously know that, she was the one trying to say I hadn't taken my daughter. Because instead taking the time to read through my daughters charts, she just goes with the first thing she saw. Not even having enough compassion to communicate with the nurse . She was really upset that I didn't want to talk about vaccines first, but the actual reason we came. I asked to see another physician because she's not listening to my daughter's issues and only wants to talk about vaccines. Once I said that her mood changed, she tells me continue explaining my daughter's issues. I get bad energy when making my daughter's appointments, when at the locations, and at the reception desk. I'm actively looking for a new provider because I can tell my daughter best interests are not there. I would NOT suggest ANYONE to take their child to ANY Erie location with the quality of service they're provided for my child that is under 2.
