I was gifted a staycation evening here, so I took advantage of it recently. My package said i needed to contact the hotel directly. I'm not sure I was initially directed to the correct person, but I left a message, and within an hour, so had directed the correct person to call me. It was really easy making a reservation, and I had a room confirmed before we hung up. Upon arrival, the decor captivates you. Also, I don't know what pleasant smell they pipe in, but it was refreshing and opening. Everyone working there had a smile and was easy to work with. While it was a little confusing making sure my staycation perks were tended to, i understand they don't have to see those all the time. After just a few brief minutes, I was heading up to the 10th floor for my evening. The room was clean, cool, and crisp. I had a great view of the boulevard and could see the nice outside area down below. Everything was straight, no dirt or dust, no stains, just very inviting. The room has a small fridge and a personal coffee making with local Community Coffee and Twinings Brand Tea. There are also a couple of small bottles of water for you. I like the details of the textured wallpaper and the fun Louisiana translations wallpaper in the bathroom. The hotel was overall quiet, and the bed was fairly comfortable. There is a nice wading pool and lots of lounges. There's also a nice sitting area with a cool fire and water element with seating available. There's also plenty of nice lobby seating and pretty things to look at. The hotel is smack dab between two shopping areas - Mall of Louisiana and Perkins Rowe. You're also just a short distance from the Rural Life Museum and the Bluebonnet Swamp, not to mention many many other places. Highly recommend if you're passing through our great city or just need a little getaway.

By far the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in! We were in the middle of a PCS move and this place truly felt like home! Everybody was so sweet and genuine and felt like family! This is the only hotel I'll stay at in Baton Rouge!!

The Renaissance Baton Rouge hotel was an absolutely amazing stay. I had the opportunity of staying there for a work conference for a week and the service was A+. The conference room that we utilized for our stay was the Des Caine conference room and it was very clean, the staff was awesome when serving our light refreshments during our meetings and the restrooms were constantly cleaned every hour on the hour. The only dilemma that I came across while utilizing the conference rooms were the air conditioning (super cold in the rooms). Some of my co-workers had a few problems with their Wi-Fi connection, but I didn't have this problem. I had the pleasure of staying in a Standard Guest room with a king-size bed. The room was very spacious and had ample amount of lightning within the space from the two bed lamps, the large window, desk area and large lamp in the corner of the room. That's not including the bathroom lightning and the small switch when entering the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel for personal and business stays. Excellent service, amazing view, close to shopping (Mall of Louisiana across the street) and restaurants!

I'm going back and forth if I should give them a 4 or 5 star . Our rooms were clean and the staff was pleasantly kind . We stayed three nights . First night we ate at the bar and I had a great hamburger. Hubby had two cocktails recommended by the bartenders . The next morning we had to attend a funeral I ran down to grab breakfast truly not in the right frame of mind and the young lady was so kind I hate I forgot her name , but I do remember her grandparents live in New York . Breakfast was yummy .. the only thing wrong with our stay was the staff didn't communicate and the called me three times to ask if we were staying in the same room . They still were kind but I was dealing with family and didn't need to worry about a hotel room . I was reminded that I needed to give the a little Grace they are human and we make mistakes .. nice hotel lovely staff you will not be disappointed

This location is in a great spot. It is right across from The Mall of Louisiana, and right down the from Perkins Rowe. The parking lot was very large and safe. Tallulah was a great choice. If your day was long and wanted a great meal and even better cocktails. This is your place. There are many places to chill with friends indoor or outdoor. I am a diamond member, and the room was clean and had an open floor plan. I really like the natural light. My service animal had a wonderful time. We rented a room past Tallulah at the end of the hallway. The room was the perfect temperature. They supplied us with ICE- Water, chairs, and tables.

4 star it is not. Two star it is. Pros: nice decor in lobby, restaurant food tastes decent, comfortable beds in hotel room Cons: lots of small details that take this down to a two star hotel for example: Dirty walls, chipped paint, dirty carpet, stains on fabric chairs, dust gathered on wall decor. Hotel rooms are not completely cleaned, and are beginning to look outdated. Dirty pillowcase, upside down electrical outlets installed, old yellowed light switches, room boasts an old iphone 3 docking station, and not enough plugs for modern devices. Blaringly obvious loose carpet in ballroom area (a trip hazard), I would not stay here again, because the cost of the hotel room does not equal the quality I received. I will tell Marriot about my negative stay at this dingy hotel. Last note: Sheriff's office called to hotel room next to ours. Must've been a lover's quarrel. What a low class hotel!

Booked the Renaissance last minute for just a quick vaca getaway really a staycation for the most part for Memorial Day. Check in was a breeze and the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. The hotel is lovely with many South Louisiana touches that make it clear that you're staying somewhere that has a lot of thought out into it. Our room is clean and fresh with a very comfortable bed. The location is great with shopping and dining steps away. We wanted to visit the pool but after a long day we're happy to relax and enjoy in room entertainment. The Renaissance has ample room for conferences and events and that had been my previous experience. The hotel also had a nice restaurant and bar and we definitely plan on another staycation soon.

Great view outside by the pool.

Ask the Community - Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel

What do they serve at the continental breakfast?

They have a restaurant with full breakfast in the concierge lounge they have eggs, potatoes, grits, and bacon/sausage.

    Is this hotel Pet friendly?

During my stay for a week, I didn't see any pets in the hotel. I don't believe the Renaissance hotel is pet-friendly.

What kind of coffee do they serve in the restaurant? And what kind of coffee do they have in the rooms? I do NOT like chicory coffee. Do they have Keurig coffee makers in the rooms? Thank you.

There are no coffee makers in the rooms. There is complimentary coffee in an urn by the breakfast/bar area. It often runs out, so you may have to wait if you're going down at peak times.…

As a Bonvoy Gold member, I received plenty of snacks and drinks as a warm welcome, which I appreciated. I do not often see hotels go above and beyond the way TownePlace Suites did. The rooms were freshly cleaned and organized, which was great, but the two air conditioner controls were a bit perplexing. I had to find the controls, though there was a note saying they were by the back of the window. Removing the redundant climate control by the front door would be useful and would reduce confusion. I had a pleasurable stay, and the breakfast bar was really good with a quick-make waffle machine and stellar options. I will consider staying at another TownePlace Suites property in the near future.

We are one family of the many thousands that have come through Louisiana to be able to attend and participate in the 2025 USBC Open Championships, a nationwide bowling tournament. She is so sweet and so polite. We asked her for many food recommendations, and all of the spots that she named were phenomenal. Now, we are not from here. So, maybe our idea of what is phenomenal to us may not be the same for others. But I can guarantee you one thing, The food places that were suggested to us not only served great food, but also they served up GR8 service. Everybody's attitudes were so enthusiastic and positive. Not to mention, we are in the south, everyone was so polite. There really is such a thing still as southern comfort and southern hospitality. We received both by staying here, at this hotel. This hotel was definitely clean and comfortable, well lit, and not super modern, but definitely not at all close to being outdated. I like that the pool area is open fairly late into the day and that towels and things are removed constantly. The restroom and icemaker areas are clean and kept that way all throughout the day and evening. The breakfast varies day-to-day. For example, yesterday there were waffles and breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, sausage, patties, cereal, bagels, and other bread items available in addition to four or five may be different types of milk, and two kinds of yogurt. And today, many of the same items were offered along with biscuits and gravy. Nothing about this hotel has disappointed us one bit. All of the appliances in our room are in working condition. Dish, dishwashing detergent and sponges, coffee, utensils, some basic flatware, and other dishes of various types are available. There's also a long listing of different appliances and things that are available to be borrowed from the front desk. The one that really shocked us was a rice cooker. Room rates were definitely reasonable. And even more so now that I've seen the hotel, the room that we were given, all the things. You definitely get what you pay for. I have stayed in rooms that have costed four or five even seven times more than what I paid for this one and in comparison, while this one may not seem as fancy, it definitely offered more to me and was more valuable to me because I had all the things I needed to keep my family comfortable during this trip. Oh, and did I mention? Parking here is absolutely free. The hotel is very close to the freeway on ramp as well. That makes it very nice, on and off the freeway as we please very easily. Ever you were looking for a hotel in Baton Rouge I would stay here again, without question or hesitation !
