Complete filth! I have never stayed in such a dilapidated place. So disgusting. The place looks like it hasn't changed since 1960. It was not clean and completely rundown. I called to ask for a different room and the customer service was just as disgusting as the room. The bathroom shower had mold, the tissue holder had about 7 inches of dust and the bathroom door was literally rotted. The pull-out sofa bed had trash, literal food wrappers inside when we opened it up. I wish I would have taken pictures of that. This Embassy Suites need to be bulldozed to the ground.

My stay was good, as expected. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff were extremely accommodating (forgot her name). I am rating the hotel 4/5 as one of the two elevators on the side nearest to the bar was not working. Sometimes, there was a long wait for it. The open bar was quite busy, but the drinks were great. There were some gentlemen in the bar area who were in line for more cocktails. I hoped someone would soon tell them they couldn't have any more, but I did not stick around to see. I expected some food items, but there were none. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was, as expected, great with fresh and made-to-order food items. All in all, a great stay except the broken elevator.

The hotel itself looks decent when you walk in, but this stay proved not all Embassy Suites are created equally. The room was "tidy" but not clean. I found two long hairs in the sheets when I pulled back the blanket. I'm assuming this means the sheets weren't changed.

Terrible experience Lyna, the desk clerk, and Hilton could not do any worse. And it's a pattern... When you have a bad experience, get names, in the off chance someone will actually be held responsible Long story short We reserved our room months in advance. Paid extra to "lock in" room (no cancellation/change) Reserved using decades old Honors Member account Did pre-check-in Everything They still gave away our room...

The location is great, the rooms are spacious and I loved that the bedroom was separated from the living space. I checked in with my group but when I went to get a replacement room key, they held me up just to re-enter a bunch of info from my driver's license. Like, ok? But what really prompted the loss of a star wasn't the service, since even though the lady at the counter barely spoke to me to get me me room key, she wasn't outright rude. The in room mini fridge isn't a fridge at all. It's a mini freezer. I've attached a picture of my milk after two days here, and so I immediately looked for some kind of control to change the fridge temperature but no such control exists. The leftover seafood pasta was inedible asa result and in Louisiana, that was a huge bummer for me.

This place is a dump. Lobby looks promising, rooms are deplorable. Don't even think of sleeping on the pull out couch because the mattress has been there since the hotel opened. It is in dire need of a renovation. The wear and tear is obvious!! The worst part was that it just wasn't clean. We usually love all Embassy Suites, but NOT THIS ONE. Very disappointed in the Embassy Suites brand and management company.

I really had high hopes when I walked in. The lobby is really cool looking. Also, the front desk staff was great. That's all. When I walked into my room I was greeted by someone else's belongings. Fortunately they weren't in the room, but I could have easily robbed them of everything. FYI...my coworker also got a key for an occupied room. When I walked into my real room it wasn't too bad at first glance. But...the room never really got cool and had an odor. There was hair on a pillow, a towel, and the shower (all different color). The shower also had those soap/shampoo/conditioner pumps in the shower and only the conditioner wasn't empty. Also empty...the tissue box. Having brought my own toiletries, it wasn't worth complaining at the time. Figured I'd let them know on my way out since I typically don't do housekeeping during my stay. Well, that was the intent at least. The first day my "do not disturb" sign disappeared and housekeeping came in. After getting another sign, it was also removed and housekeeping came in the second morning too. Apparently they just come in to remake the bed since that's all they di On my final full day I was working from my room when they came again and knocked on my door announcing "housekeeping". So I say no thanks. A minute later another knock and "housekeeping." Same response from me. Then the door starts to open but I had the latch locked and had to say it again. After the housekeeper finally left I checked to see if the sign disappeared again, but no. It was hanging right on the door. Maybe I misinterpreted "do not disturb"? Also, make sure if you plan on actually drying off after a shower to find a towel next to the bed cause you won't find it in the actual bathroom. The snack room was anything but. Chips? Nope. Soda? Nope. Candy bars? Just a couple of Hershey bars that were gone right after I took my photo and never restocked. Any kind of chilled snack? Not even close. There is a so called vending machine on each floor. Hope you want Mountain Dew cause that's your soda option. Unless you want to take a chance with the unmarked button. Your guess is as good as mine on that one. Or, you could just sit at the bar and hope you didn't bring any children I suppose. Could I have walked to a gas station half a mile away in the rain? Sure. Should I have to? I guess I'll leave that up to you. Come on Hilton! I've stayed at better motels in bad parts of a neighborhood. As a diamond member I have obviously put in my time at Hilton hotels, and this would have to be the worst.

It was a bad hotel. And this is not just because of the construction. It felt like a jail cell.

Not what they used to be. AC didn't work and whole place smelt dingy. Bed wasn't comfortable. Such a waste, so much potential.

As a Bonvoy Gold member, I received plenty of snacks and drinks as a warm welcome, which I appreciated. I do not often see hotels go above and beyond the way TownePlace Suites did. The rooms were freshly cleaned and organized, which was great, but the two air conditioner controls were a bit perplexing. I had to find the controls, though there was a note saying they were by the back of the window. Removing the redundant climate control by the front door would be useful and would reduce confusion. I had a pleasurable stay, and the breakfast bar was really good with a quick-make waffle machine and stellar options. I will consider staying at another TownePlace Suites property in the near future.

We are one family of the many thousands that have come through Louisiana to be able to attend and participate in the 2025 USBC Open Championships, a nationwide bowling tournament. She is so sweet and so polite. We asked her for many food recommendations, and all of the spots that she named were phenomenal. Now, we are not from here. So, maybe our idea of what is phenomenal to us may not be the same for others. But I can guarantee you one thing, The food places that were suggested to us not only served great food, but also they served up GR8 service. Everybody's attitudes were so enthusiastic and positive. Not to mention, we are in the south, everyone was so polite. There really is such a thing still as southern comfort and southern hospitality. We received both by staying here, at this hotel. This hotel was definitely clean and comfortable, well lit, and not super modern, but definitely not at all close to being outdated. I like that the pool area is open fairly late into the day and that towels and things are removed constantly. The restroom and icemaker areas are clean and kept that way all throughout the day and evening. The breakfast varies day-to-day. For example, yesterday there were waffles and breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, sausage, patties, cereal, bagels, and other bread items available in addition to four or five may be different types of milk, and two kinds of yogurt. And today, many of the same items were offered along with biscuits and gravy. Nothing about this hotel has disappointed us one bit. All of the appliances in our room are in working condition. Dish, dishwashing detergent and sponges, coffee, utensils, some basic flatware, and other dishes of various types are available. There's also a long listing of different appliances and things that are available to be borrowed from the front desk. The one that really shocked us was a rice cooker. Room rates were definitely reasonable. And even more so now that I've seen the hotel, the room that we were given, all the things. You definitely get what you pay for. I have stayed in rooms that have costed four or five even seven times more than what I paid for this one and in comparison, while this one may not seem as fancy, it definitely offered more to me and was more valuable to me because I had all the things I needed to keep my family comfortable during this trip. Oh, and did I mention? Parking here is absolutely free. The hotel is very close to the freeway on ramp as well. That makes it very nice, on and off the freeway as we please very easily. Ever you were looking for a hotel in Baton Rouge I would stay here again, without question or hesitation !

Anyway we made our way back to the lobby, got another room, got in a different elevator, and noticed the disgusting odor again. We get off on our floor and it smells awful like a ranch mixed with urine. The room also smelled musty and like a wet dog. We tried to look past that but then there was also a disgusting hair ball on the floor, stains on the bedding and curtains, and the just total ick. I give one star to the kind lady at the restaurant and check-in and for the view of the Mississippi River. Unfortunately we were not comfortable at all during our stay.
