Administrative and bureaucratic processes are slow to respond when students need support, yet communication becomes very frequent when something is required from you. There was also a cybersecurity incident during my time at the university, and I felt the institutional response did not adequately address the impact on students whose information was affected. In addition, policy enforcement appears inconsistent across departments, which adds to the lack of clarity in day-to-day processes. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this institution.

Ms. Carter has published close to a dozen novels and is a former workshop participant. The class is six weeks long. The first class is absolutely free. You pay nothing if you decide not to pursue the course. You do get a free copy of Jerry's book though. Each class goes through the basic elements of good storying writing (WOARS take the class and find out what that means). Each of the five remaining classes provides time at the end to write. The work is read and critiqued at the subsequent class. I think you'll be pleased at the jumpstart your writing projects will receive from participation. I was glad that an acquaintance referred me to Directions. They were able to set me up with a…read morecurriculum that included software training through a vendor that met my career needs when nobody else could. I will say that not everything has run smoothly though. There have been some items that seem to have been left out of our initial conversations. When I attempted to work through them with the staff, they spoke to me as if I should have known. I was quite disappointed with them that they treated me as though it was my mistake when clearly they left information out. I would only recommend Directions to someone with the caveat to ask a ton of questions. Ask questions about things you may not think are important. Ask questions that you might ask a college/university if you were taking out student loans and taking classes with them. Rescheduling will happen. Be prepared for it! It will be difficult to work some of the dates around other classes that have been scheduled. Be prepared to be frustrated!

My kids don't go to Latin school but they played many basketball games with the Romans. The school…read moreis well located and beautiful. There is a lot of art on the walls. I'm sure that kids get good education in this school. This review is about behavior of parents of the Romans and the Romans Coach in season 2025/26. They put so much pressure on kids. One of the siblings of the Romans was cheering with mean words. The kid would position itself next to the hoop, so that only the players can hear. Unbelievable. One of the fathers was yelling at his kid because they were loosing. I felt so sorry for those kids, even though they are probably similar to their sickly ambitious parents. The Romans Coach is a nice looking woman, but unfortunately in traveling team she is well known to be mean toward the girls. She was so annoying during the games, she was too hard on her team, with an attitude of cruelty toward opposite team. Again - unbelievable. This is expensive school and kids in Latin school will be successful, but in the background of their success, there will be a lot of therapy, substance abuse, hidden inappropriate sexual behavior and on the top of that, life long competitive cruelty that was built in them in such a young age. Such a pity.

I was learning things in my freshman and sophomore year of high school that many people didn't study until college. It is amazing how it is the only college in Chicago that has a Surgical Technology and EEG Tech programs. The retention and graduation rates well exceed those of its competitors, including community colleges. The staff and faculty take pride in serving their students and enabling them to begin their careers in healthcare, and now in IT and business. It's definitely a great value proposition for this who thing the traditional college is not the right path for them.

Gotta be honest, I spent years and years living in Chicago running by this place imagining it as…read moresome epic amenity-packed gym for the wealthy. I left Chicago last year, joined Equinox in New York, and triumphantly returned to Chicago for a work trip, picking a hotel as close to this gym as possible. My take is that this location is a loss-leader used to placate business travelers who have multi-club access. It's a mediocre gym with a nice locker room. Great for blowing off steam after work in a largely uncrowded gym if your employer is subsidizing your wildly expensive gym fees. Mine is. Compared to East Bank Club, which costs $235 per month, the Loop Equinox is laughable, and I question whether the three Chicago Equinox locations combined actually stack up to EBC on any measure except sheer convenience or imagined exclusivity. I think what a lot of people miss, and certainly what I missed as I formed my first impressions of Equinox, is that the machines and basically everything else, except the quality of the locker room, is the exact same as any competent gym in a big city. In fact, you could make a compelling case that the overall variety is worse here compared to the downtown FFC locations. I found that the blueprint for the location I frequent in NYC was nearly identical to this location's--it's an ordinary equipment layout that can make it so that one other person wanting to rotate through the machines can impede your workout. If you are living in Chicago reading Yelp reviews as you assess Equinox ($???) vs EBC ($235) vs FFC ($160 all-access), I would put this gym toward the bottom of the list. It's just crazy how normal it is in reality compared to how people (including me) perceive the branding.
