    Atrium

Four star hotel. Class operation with excellent service. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Indoor pool is covered and useable all year regardless of weather conditions. The bar is well run and the food choices are delicious. The buffet breakfast is loaded with delicious choices. Ordered an omelet too. The atrium is spacious and beautiful. Valet parking is a must if you want to drive to nearby restaurants and entertainment venues. Proximity to Cityline restaurants is a plus. Whether you are staying for business or pleasure, you won't find a better nights sleep.

Beware if coming with children. For two years in a row, this hotel has hosted a "swingers and spanking expo" and this year the "southern pleasure expo" while multiple families in our group were also staying. Half dressed men and women walk around the lobby and restaurant (one outfit consisted of a string, yes, one string). Children had to be escorted to elevators with management blocking the view of what all was going on. Very sad that management would knowingly allow a children's group to book rooms when something like this is going on and also do a poor job of keeping these adult groups in their convention ballrooms. One adult in our group was groped in the elevator by a stranger. This is not what I expect from a hotel like the renaissance.

I came to the Renaissance Dallas hotel because I had friends staying there for a soccer tournament. I appreciate that they do have valet parking and they also have a parking garage, so it makes it easier to park, especially since there is limited parking around the hotel. I also like that if you buy a drink or food at the restaurant or bar, they will comp your parking fee. They also have an indoor pool, a gym, conference rooms, and a huge lobby/sitting area. It allows for lots of people to get together even if you don't want to go app to the guest hotel room. I spent most of my time in the bar area, and our waitress was very helpful and attentive. One concern I do have, which why I did not give them a 5 star is that the bartender paid more attention to the person paying instead of the quantity of alcohol she was serving and when I happened to say I was good the person buying the drinks said get her another and she proceeded to bring me another drink even though I didn't want one.

We needed a place to stay while visiting family and this one was recommended to us. I'm not sure of when it was built but it definitely had a newish vibe to it. It was also very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were also staying on a weekend where prom was going on and they had a Miss Texas pageant event so the hotel was full and busy. Our double room was clean, comfortable and very cutely decorated. See photos for examples but there were definitely design touches you don't typically see. There is a parking garage a short walk away and there's valet too. In and out of the garage was very easy. We had a great stay!

It's been a long comeback from the pandemic for this property. Took over 3 years to get the Club back open and staff back to full force but they seem to be back to their excellent selves once more. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. No issues here. I can take DART from DFW to withing 200 feet of their entrance for $1.50 (yes I'm old). DART is pretty nasty and seems to be the go-to for the homeless to get out of the weather. Use it at high volume times and it's okay. If you have Marriott upgrades save them for this hotel - the suites are very nice. Well furnished and very up to date for IT - more USB plugs than any other property I have been to. Only issue is some traffic noise from the nearby highway at times. Great stay, pics attached.

3.5 stars Stayed 4 nights while attending a wedding. Positives: Centrally, located in Richardson, TX Clean rooms AC works well Nice interior decor Key Cards work well for the parking garage. Decent room rates. Cons: Food and drink is limited, breakfast buffet $20 is sad. Doesn't seem open for lunch and dinner Service is very limited only cleans room when you schedule it. Maid and Carts are not on every floor so you'll need to call for toilet paper and towels.

Standard business hotel. It's nice, but nothing incredibly fancy. It's in an industrial area with nothing really to walk to but the Dart train station which can get you to downtown Dallas in a flash. It's next to the Freeway though, and just a few minutes from Plano, from things to do in Richardson, and a half hour or so from Dallas Love Field. There is a cute walking trail nearby, but I was told to not go alone, so I got a bit scared off. The hotel lobby is nice, reminded me of the Luxor in Vegas with all the room doors facing a central area of the building that was open across all floors and capped with a skylight. It was a bit surreal to see. The rooms are just ok. The beds were adequately comfy. Toiletries are Aveda. Had to call for a room fridge. No microwave. Large side chair made me itchy like it was infested and had stuffing coming out of the arm. Room service was pretty good! I loved the broken yolk sandwich and Starbucks coffee. The hamburger and grown up grilled cheese were just ok. I was told the shuttle wouldn't take me to work because it was 6 miles instead of 5 miles, then saw it drop off co-workers to the same location after I had taken an Uber. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but heard it's indoors. Overall, I would say it's a 3 to 4 star hotel. Best for conferences and business trips.

This is our second time staying here. The first time was an awesome experience. This time, we have to wait past 4pm to get our room. Apparently the cleaning staff have yet to clean our suite. We've been waiting since 1pm (did early check in, so they knew we were coming). If you have plans to stay here, I would suggest calling before showing up and asking if the rooms are ready. Otherwise you might find yourself waiting in the nice couches they have in the lobby area (which seem to be needing some cleaning themselves). The hotel is okay once you get settled in.

    Biohazard tub

No room service, no food, poor service, water scalding hot, hot tub nasty. They told us we could use the hot tub and directed us to it, see pic. There was no coffee, nothing. Worst service.

DISGUSTING MOLD ALL OVER THE BLANKET

There was this mold all over my blankets. When I found this out during my stay, I immediately brought this forward to the hotel front desk manager but he said this was just normal wear and tear. How is this possibly normal wear and tear?? Do not stay in this hotel, it's a health hazard

Good sized (but dated) living room in corner room

A tale of two hotels. The Good: Front of house staff treated us wonderfully. Dwight at the front desk took great care of us with a Gold upgrade to a mini suite (corner room). Russom (and all the valets) were great - our kids loved this gentleman! Lawrence at the restaurant likewise was friendly and engaged our kids. The lobby modernization looks great. Downstairs common areas are consistent with brand standards. However the corner room (700ish square feet) gave our family of 5 plenty of space. There were both a mini fridge and microwave in room, which was nice. The weekend breakfast in the lobby restaurant (and Monday in the Gold lounge) was good and fresh. Eggs & breakfast potatoes were on point! They offered a little variety from one day to the next. We enjoyed the indoor pool area which was pretty clean. (Though, i suspect, scarcely used). The Bad: The rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. Worn, dated carpet and furniture was surprising - not many Renaissance properties left with such an antiquated (90s I say!) look. Had housekeeping issues: misadventures over extra towels and pillow (delivered 4 hours after requested -- after the kids had gone to bed: knock, knock). On Day #2, our room got completely skipped somehow . . . Very surprised that the bar was completely closed on Sunday afternoon - first weekend of the NFL schedule! Had called a friend to come in for beers and football... alas - upon realizing no refreshments were possible, we hit the road to the Wing'd Nut sportsbar (Bears bar - just 1 mile south along E Campbell). The Verdict: With modern (more clean) rooms, I'd bump a half *; without the housekeeping gaffes, this review would land at 4*. The front of house staff was responsive and welcoming. This is a good weekend hotel for families. The best thing about the hotel, ownership should be pleased to know, is the staff. We hope to return someday... after a much needed room refresh.

Clean, convenient and nice hotel. Needed to be in town for a couple of days and chose this property as central to my meetings. Nice layout and convenient just off the 75 in Richardson. They have a nice Concierage Suite as well. Rooms are new and well appointed. I will definitely stay here again when business calls.

When the power went out, there were guests who were stuck in the elevator... For 90 minutes! The Dallas Fire Department had to come and extricate people from all 4 elevators. Some people were forced to climb up 7 flights of stairs to get to our floor. Other guests ended up leaving the wedding altogether because we just never knew WHEN the lights and power were going to come back on. There was no back up generator or power source that the building could draw from. We were not able to start the wedding reception until AFTER 10pm! There was a quinceañera on another floor, and a 70th birthday party being held on a different floor. Everyone had NO POWER! (To be fair, when my mother came to check out this venue the week before the wedding, she said she had to take the stairs down, b/c the power went out then too - in the middle of the day!!!!) So for over 1 hour, our vendors were not able to serve our 400 wedding guests! I lost an hour of service from every single vendor - which ended up totaling over $12,000 lost. When I contacted the owners of the venue, they refused to take any accountability, saying they were not at fault. They refused to refund us even a fraction of the amount that we were owed. They refused that they owed us anything at all! We spent months trying to work out an agreement / negotiate compensation with the owner, to no avail. Nothing. Not even a dime. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE ANY OTHER VENUE FOR YOUR EVENT! IT'S NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY... SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND BOOK YOURSELF A DECENT VENUE. I would give this place 0/5 stars if I could. I highly do NOT recommend.

Ample parking even with potholes to deal with. I think the owners of the rental units are responsible for paving the property. Some serious repaving is desperately needed. There are many other wonderful units located within this particular area. Cigars, wines, Chinese food, and other wonderful spots! Well worth making a visit! However, this review is about this venue. I'll be back to visit the other spots because of their uniqueness! The decorations were wonderful! I think they were provided by the persons that booked the unit. They also had servers for food. However, I think that too was booked via the people that rented the venue. The napkins, which were cloth, were dirty and limp. Ugh! Those need to be replaced. Those were quite objectionably dirty! Same with the white table cloths. (Fake)flower arrangements were nice. They matched the decor for this setting. Chairs need serious updating/replacement or a good scrubbing. Bathrooms were clean and the toilets flushed. Lack of toilet paper was limited. As was hot water and soap. I was a guest. Would I rent here? Yes I would, if the price was right.
