My husband's MRI order was sent over from his SCOI doctor 3 days ago. He called Renaissance 3 times to verify they have the order. He also had to repeat his name and date of birth 3 times each time he called. The office staff is so incompetent they could never find the order even though the fax was verified as sent. She is a sweet, caring, and hard-working individual who took time out of her work day to update me on different statuses of my authorizations. Wasn't too sure about this place due to previous reviews but my visit was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable. Brought my wife in yesterday for an MRI scan and received amazing service. The young lady at the front desk was so kind and got us checked in quickly and after signing a few things we were seated. Waited about 10 min and a tech named Matthew came and walked us back. We had some anxiety about being here but he was so welcoming and kind that it made the visit a lot easier. She got on the machine to do her scan and they had a waiting room for me to stay in close to the mri area. Diana the other tech got her off the table and walked her back to where I was waiting and seemed so happy to be doing her job. Very pleasant visit. Reading the reviews of the place had me nervous to come here... on top of being nervous about an MRI (my first one I've ever had), I was dreading coming to my appointment. I got there pretty early but was taken back right at my appointment time. Pete did my MRI and was great! He was very patient and understanding and took his time to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything. The staff up front seemed to be an improvement in comparison with past reviews as well. I had no issues with my appointment today and was pleasantly surprised with how smooth everything went. read more

My workers compensation company set up an appointment with RIC appointment specialist while I was on the phone with them. The appointment was for 7:00 AM and the RIC rep told me to be here at 6:30 AM. I got up at 5:30 AM to be here on time. An hour later and no one is here. I tried calling and got an answering machine. I wish I had looked up their reviews before making this appointment. As another person said,"they suck!". I was wary coming here after reading the reviews, but I didn't really have a choice as this is the only place my insurance would cover getting x-rays at. My doctor told me to walk-in, that no appointment was needed, so that's what I did. I received friendly service when checking in and out, and the technician was super friendly and helpful too. He let me see the x-rays he took and I really appreciate that. I don't know if I got lucky, but it only waited for ten or twenty minutes before being seen. Overall it was a good experience and I don't have anything to complain about. read more

Horrible drivers, was driving in the city of Lancaster and this individual almost crashed in to me with my kids in the car & right after he flipped us off, tail gating us. however, the guy not being so smart, pictures were taken of his car. I called several times to confirm my 4 pm appointment and again on my way here, it was confirmed I have my appointment. Got here at 3:30 to find out the ct scan machine is down. No one mentioned anything about the machine being down, again I spoke with at least 3 people before my appointment. I spoke briefly with a "Sara", apparently she's the supervisor, she tried to explain that communication between the facilities are on key. Please explain to me why the Palmdale front desk told me that the machine has been down for 2 days and you just found out this afternoon about it. Also, the people I talked to never mentioned about the machine being down, my appointment should have been rescheduled but yet it was confirmed 2-3 different times. Communication is only effective if your facilities have the same information and everyone is on the same page. I can't post this review with No stars, if I have a choice it'll be no stars, doesn't deserve any. read more

I read the reviews for Renaissance and was nervous to say the least. But after visiting twice now for two separate scans (MRI AND CT) I can't tell you how impressed I was by the service. I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff, who despite trying to manage a very busy waiting room, made me feel welcome and at ease and answered all questions I had. The nurses and scan technicians were so friendly and warm and immediately made me feel at ease. I think sometimes we feel more compelled to write bad reviews when we experience poor service, but often forget to write GOOD when we experience great service! So, in an effort to help anyone else who may be reading all the bad reviews and feeling nervous as I was...please know that I had a wonderful experience here (on two separate occasions!). Yes it is a busy practice, but the work they do is wonderful and the staff are lovely! Hope this helps someone! read more

No one follows through and every one seems to do the bare minimum. I have a Spinal Cord Stimulator, which needs special considerations when getting an MRI, i explained thes to them when they called to schedule the appointment. I explained what kind, how long I've had it, an entire conversation. They schedule me for that day 10pm. I had to scramble to get my SCS rep to do the check up on it before we tuen it off for the MRI. It was off at 2pm meaning im in lots of pain, hints why i need it. They call to reschedule for 7pm, ok no problem earlier is better. They are getting ready to call me back and i tell thwm do you want the info on my SCS, they arw all dumbfounded and say they had no isea i had one and that i cant have an MRI with that machine. There is a whole charade oh were sorry the tech comes in at 5:30am he will evaluate it and call you to schedule on the lancaster machine. Next day no call nothing. I call they dont know what im talking about. Im on hold for 20 min to finally have them say they can't do it at all sorry. Mind you i had my SCS turned off not to mention the driving all over i live over an hour away. The response is oh yeah i dont knkw why they didnt check first. I will refuse to ever come here again. This place is a joke! Not to mention I could have been put in serious danger had I not spoken up when i did. read more

My son needed an MRI of his brain, and needless to say we were nervous. Gina, our MRI tech did an absolutely amazing job. She took her time explaining the procedure and showing the scanner to my son and made sure he was comfortable. You can tell she really cares and is passionate about her job. I just left this place and I was completely annoyed, the people working front desk were really rude. My mom stood up there for forever just to sign in. The girl in the front by the name of Katie was especially rude. My mom was just standing there and she can clearly see her and she spends like 10 minutes talking to another patient about other stuff and she wasn't even helping the patient, it was her coworker helping her but she just chimed in to talk about other topics. I finally stood up to say something and she finally helped my mom after waiting for so long. They need to realize they have to help the patients first before striking up other conversations right in front of them about nonrelated stuff. Especially the employee Katie. read more

This facility is VERY poorly run!! My husband had a 4:40 appt. for a CT scan, and we showed up early (as requested) to check in. Many "stat" patients from the hospital were taken in before us. After over 2 1/2 hours, we were finally brought in the back for the scan. We were then told that there were 2 patients ahead of us, so it would be at least another 45 minutes before my husband would (finally) be scanned. He had not eaten since noon, so we decided to leave to get food. In all, we were at the AVOIC for just under 3 hours, and we never got the scan. SO infuriating!!! What a horrible place! read more

Horrible experience. Very unprofessional. I was scheduled for a CAT scan with contrast. As suggested, I arrived early for my 5:00pm appt. I was completely checked in before 4:30 pm. At 6:00pm the receptionist informed me that they had to reschedule me because the doctor left for the day. I spent half of the day fasting and drinking disgusting barium sulfate for no reason and now have to wait another TWO WEEKS until I can be seen!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!! I am so upset about this whole experience. I just don't understand how a medical facility could be so unprofessional and uncaring. read more

As I was heading there, one of the receptionist called me to reschedule me for their Lancaster location at 6pm since they are running behind by 2 hrs and the technician leaves at a certain time. This is so inconvenient as I had my day planned accordingly. Wonder why they overbook themselves and cannot accommodate all patients at a certain time. And until they do not fulfill their commitment toward patients, I wonder why the technician has to leave. Zero star for me. read more

Because Kaiser defaults to this company - lowest bidder, I imagine - I'm always referred there. Without fail, they are totally unaware that I've been referred and have to double check. This time, when I walked in they had no idea I was expected. I was told 6:15 for a 6:45 appointment. I arrived at 6. At 7:15, after seeing everyone go in ahead of me (including people who'd arrived LATER than 6:45) I left. I have requested that my doctors send me to a competent facility. This place is run by morons. My experience of the medical staff is that they are perfectly capable.
