I will say this is the worst dental experience I've ever had in my life. Dr. Kim pulled one of my…read morelower teeth. Five shots and I was not numb and she told me I should only feel pressure. I felt every single thing she did to dig that tooth out and every stitch she put in my mouth. I cried through the whole thing. She walked out of the room after a traumatic experience and never said a word. Not an ounce of compassion. I had to go back in because I continued to have pain from the beginning of the pull until I went back in to have them pack it again saying it had dry socket, but the pain was always there from the beginning, so I'm not sure there was dry socket. And it's still not right. So next time I said, I want to see Dr. Ahn., since he's the only other dentist there thinking I'd get a better experience. But he basically was just as rude and when I asked questions, he asked me to be quiet so he could finish talking. Both appointments I cried, but there was no compassion shown. I still have bone coming out of my gum on the side of my mouth five weeks later from that pull that he did on two upper teeth. The only nice person in that office that I encountered was Jillian at the front desk. Other than that, it was a very cold atmosphere. Which is sad in a place that people are very uptight anyway. Dr. Ahn also said that I had a clotting problem made me go to the doctor to get my blood pressure checked before he'd see me again, and I got blood work to make sure that I didn't have a clotting issue. None of which I did. I will never go back to that hell hole or recommend.

I'd highly recommend staying away from Boones Ferry Dental. I've been to a fair amount of dentists…read moreover the years, and the culture of patient intimidation and fear mongering that goes on here is disappointing. It's across the board too: from the primary dentist, to the hygienist, to the frontdesk (it all starts at the top though, so I'm not surprised that it's systemic). I went in for a routine checkup after moving to a new area. I'd had a previous checkup with a great dentist just six months ago, where I had been receiving regularly scheduled cleanings. I asked Boones Ferry Dental for a routine exam and cleaning, and they proceeded to tell me that I needed to do extensive deep cleaning (that would be almost $2k dollars more, with a customer out of pocket of almost $250 for me). They were making statements that I had severe "disease of the gums", that I was imminently in danger of potentially losing a tooth, and that it would be unethical of them to give me just a standard cleaning. Doing this more expensive deep cleaning would also have to be over the course of 2 more additional visits. I explained to them that I couldn't take that much time away from work, but offered to come in over the holiday break to do the deeper cleaning and would prefer a regular cleaning now. They refused to work with me. I called my previous dentist, and he said that this was extremely bizarre behavior and that I should seek out another dentist in the area. Boones Ferry Dental still charged my insurance for an exam despite refusing me service on actually cleaning my teeth, so now I'll need to seek out another opinion and likely deal with insurance consequences of another exam. I'd never have gone to Boones Ferry Dental had I know that they were interested in bullying customers through intimidation tactics to get them to spend more money - perhaps they're hurting for business, but this strikes me as an unethical way to do business and treat customers. At the very least, it is clear that they don't value my time, they don't actively listen, and they're not interested in building a long term relationship with me as a customer. There are 20+ other dentists in the nearby area: do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Dr Morrissey has always been a fantastic dentist, but today he and his staff went far above and…read morebeyond that. I was chewing gum and, surprise, my bridge came off. I was upset and called to see if they could see me last minute late Friday afternoon, and they were closing the office for the weekend. I always have the worst timing! So I scheduled for Monday morning and got off the phone. Probably sixty seconds later I received a call back, they ended up staying late just to help me out. I can't tell you how much it meant to me that they went through all of that trouble to help me out, and were so nice about it! Brandy, Kylie and Dr. Morrissey are so awesome, I can't recommend them enough!

Most unprofessional office I have ever been to. The first visit my dental hygenist scoffed at the…read morefact that I used to go to Willamette Dental citing that they weren't a good dentist. At the time I had OHP and it was what I could afford. The hygenist also seemed tired and overworked. I decided to give them another chance with my second visit. I would say this one was worse. My hygenist was late and rushed through the front door apologizing. She spoke loudly enough for the whole office to hear why she was late. She had to leave again to get her glasses. I was shamed for the condition of my teeth and told "you are going to loose a tooth" " you are far too young to be loosing teeth". I was also asked many questions about my orthodontic work. I had my braces off at 15 and I am now 30. I don't have any knowledge of professional Ortho or what they were thinking when I had braces! Dr.Gilday tried to improve my mood by making small talk. Also, this office does not ask if you want to look at your teeth as they stick a camera in your mouth. You are required to look at a big screen to see what they are doing! if asked, I would have said no I don't want to see. So unprofessional. I am very sensitive about the appearance of my teeth and felt like I was being shamed for how I look. I will never go back here and hope that the office takes this review seriously. Also the dentist didn't know names of other dentists to refer for Ortho consult. He simply said to the front desk "oh what's his name again!??".
