Renegade Classics are a great store for quality riding gear, especially for big hairy burger-eating apes requiring 3XL -5XL jackets and vests. A 5 XL vest at Cycle Gear is equivalent to a 2XL at Renegade. Most bike accessories stores only carry clothing that is sized for foreign markets where people are slimmer, eat healthier and are more attractive. This place was the spot for me but this last visit was horrible. The owner of this place is a joke, he's very unprofessional and has no type of good customer service at all. His seamstress made a mistake and would not fix it. He told me that his seamstress has been doing her job for years and there is no way she would move the patch to another spot. I had to show him a picture of where I had set the patch when I dropped it off and then he said, oh I see where the mistake is . He did fix the mistake but had it not been for that picture he wouldn't have done nothing about it . Never coming here again. This place sucks. I also found some of their products that they have in their store on Amazon for half the price. read more

Shopped online for a helmet for my wife, who is a BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR. The order was confirmed, paid for, then I receive an email, order cancelled with the explanation "unforeseen circumstances" which basically is no explanation at all. The helmet is still available to purchase on the website so they are not out-of-stock. I believe there is discrimination involved and the store's CEO, Troy Rowsey doesn't even respond to any of our email messages. read more

This place is great, they have everything you could ever possibly want to be geared up for a ride. They have all kinds of helmets, t-shirts and leathers. If you need to have patches sewn on they have an inhouse seamstress to take care of that for you. It's a family owned business so you can tell how much they care that you are happy with your purchase. I love that they always have cheap long sleeve t-shirts on sale. The last couple times I stopped in I noticed they have been bringing in some new stuff. I like the clown shirts they produce every year, they are very original. read more

Renegade caters for the serious motorcycle enthusiast. However, unlike many accessory shops, Renegade stresses function over fashion. It can look good, but it better damn well perform good first. Renegade carries what you would expect them to carry (jackets, vests, chaps, boots T-shirts). But since they are not a motorcycle dealership, they can carry other types of helmets that many not exactly be DOT approved. You can also find stickers, luggage, cleaning supplies, and other items that might be of interest to a rider. But the wide selection isn't the only reason to go. The prices are low. Lower than what you would expect to pay in certain factory-authorized stores. read more

Floor Staff tried to get me the help / number to Voss helmets for a complaint issue on two helmets we purchased that were only 3 days old ..But once the manager got a hold of me it went south ... .. How a business can stay open with a argumentative attitude is beyond me ...Ended up finding the info myself through a lengthy internet search ...do yourself a favor and a lot of research before you buy the carbon fiber Voss half helmet and defiantly find a better dealer than these guys At the very least try on the helmets there and be safe and order it from Amazon if you have to have one . read more

I've been to Renegade several times, starting the old location. So it was a no brainier to come to come back. Variety of m/c gear & great prices, or so I thought. Had the day off, so I to a quick ride to Sac, get some patches sewn on & catch up w/my Bros. I MUST say, Linda was the lone staffer, but EXTREMELY kind/helpful. I had her see on 3 small patches. While she did so, I looked around & a couple things caught my eye. She finished sewing on my 3 small patches & told me $35... I initially laughed, b/c I assumed she was joking. As we'd had a couple laughs. But, she was serious. My reply was, u GOTTA BE JOKING !! 1st, I supplied my own patches, she simply sewed them on. And how can pricing go from $5 to $10+, just to sew !?! It wasn't that I didn't have the money. It was that I felt a GREAT sense of price gouging. I'm a business owner & understand pricing may increase in times like this. But this was clearly a case of taking advantage of ppl/customers. I paid it, b/c she'd rendered her Services & it was the right thing to do. I should've verified pricing PRIOR TO. However, that $179 leather shirt & new helmet & travel I was about to purchase, for my trip to Sturgis... Thanks, but no thanks. Unless you change this, you have just lost a good customer. Not to mention the MANY ppl I fellowship w/ in the biker community. These are tough times for everyone. You don't take advantage of ppl at a time like. UNACCEPTABLE !!! read more

As a former aviation person and a life-long motorcycle rider, I've employed the services of several parties in the Sacramento Area to sew patches onto my many leather jackets, over the years. I can say with all genuine honesty that the individual who specialises in sewing patches to leather jackets, found at Renegade Classics, does one hella bang-up job in that capacity. Her work is precise, professional and perfect rendered per the customer's specifications. Not only that but the prices charged for this work are very reasonable and they ARE delivered timely, right on schedule as promised. It doesn't ever get much better than that, in my opinion. So, whether you're a 'right stuff', Sierra Hotel pilot...or a righteous member of the two-wheeled motor-riding fraternity...you can't go wrong by taking your leathers in to Renegade. Thanks, folks! I absolutely love this store! They have the things I need for accessories and it seems like they bring new items to stock every now and then. I haven't got anything sewn yet but I will definitely come here to get that done sometime. I went there today for their annual bike blessing and I was greeted by very nice people from the Christian Bikers club. I used to get intimidated by the leather vests of MC's but it felt pretty welcoming knowing that you are part of the family of riders. Now, although I love this store and it is my go to spot I gave this a 3 star review. I think that Renegade can earn one more star if their customer service was a little more attentive. There is hardly any room to move around the store and so I was in a makeshift line to buy some items. When the girl was done with the customer I was totally unseen because I was busy moving out of the way for people passing through. She left and was no where to be seen. Also the guy behind the counter was so backed up he couldn't help me for about 5-8 minutes. I think they should figure out how to staff more people when they are hosting an event. Great store overall, and I will be visiting more often and hopefully the experiences of shopping here will improve as time goes by. read more

This shopped seemed promising...from the parking lot. Right when my girlfriend and I walked in we were greeted by a serious glare from the lone employee. Seeing as though we were the ONLY customers in the store, a simple kind greeting wouldn't have been too much to ask. This woman was totally lacking in the customer service department and made us feel "unworthy" of being in that sort of establishment. In spite of our better judgement, we purchased a helmet for my girlfriend which was marked 50% off...after asking the employee how much, she pretended to look something up on the register and proceeded to tell us the helmet was over $100. Pretty hard to believe for something that was 50% off but I won't speculate. Bottom line, the product was good. The customer service was NOT. We will not go back read more

I work in Oak Park & found this place by accident while looking online for something closer that Cycle Gear I-80. I just picked a Blvd so needed to get some gear. I was greeted by a young blonde gal who nicely showed where and what type of helmets were at. I was surprised by the selection they have. Every product they have comes with a very good amount of options in price/style/quality, basically if someone doesn't have too much $ but wants to gear up they can in one visit without having to come back every payday or if they want to go with top notch gear they can and thats something that not a lot of stores offer. great place for leathers (pants, jackets, vests, gloves) and other random clothing. they have helmets and some other stuff, but I've only really bought a vest and some patches. the staff that I've talked to were quite friendly. they weren't pushy for you to buy something and get out... more of a "let me know if you need anything" type of service, which I appreciate. the woman who does sews on the patches did a good job. however a few of my patches got clipped in the border and caused the border to unravel a little. not a big deal as they weren't expensive patches, but a little irritating to have an errant stitch f-up an otherwise nice patch. read more

My wife and I just went in there today for the first time. The place is very clean, staff is friendly and not pushy, and the selection is great. We went in to get a new helmet and was going to get new jackets online but after seeing their prices and the selection, we both bought new leathers. I was going to get a vest as well but realized the jacket I bought actually had removable sleeves. Solid floor people. I bought a Bilt pack here that was supposed to carry a second helmet and it didn't clasp right making it really easy to get loose. I had it sitting around for almost three month before I checked it and realized my mistake. The staff was totally right about it and did not hassle me like most smaller businesses will that sell gear. 9/19/14 I rode from Benicia to Sacramento renegade to look for luggage for my Harley. I was impressed with the selection and quality of products. They had exactly the bag I wanted. One problem...They were asking $400.00 for a bag that has a list price of $300.00. I brought this to their attention and the counter girl tells me they dont price match. Im not looking for a great deal, just to pay "suggested list"!!! That is a 33% markup over list. Even at list price Cycle Gear confirmed they are making around $100.00 profit. I left there disappointed that I didnt get the bag I very much wanted. I was "forced" to go to the internet and get the exact same bag for $215.00 delivered. Due to this I will not return as a customer and certainly will not recommend them to anyone. read more

I went to renegade today to buy a leather jacket for the halloween sale. They advertised all leather jackets 30% off. I found a light jacket that I liked and was willing to purchase it. When I went to purchase it they told me that it was considered a vest and was only 10% off. This was a jacket, with a zipper, buttons, and full length sleeves. I asked how it could be considered a vest since it has sleeves and they said " it just is". They then began to try to tell me that it was a leather undershirt to be exact. I was able to wear this jacket over my tshirt and over the leather vest that I was already wearing. I asked them to show me fit under a tshirt and the response I got was the girl rolling her eyes. I told the sales person that if they don't honor their add, they will loose a customer for life. They didn't care to make things right. They said that the owner made up his decision. This is a perfect example of bait and switch, and them not caring about their customers. I will never shop there again, and I will tell everyone I know about how they treat their customers. read more

I am very disappointed and renegade I called yesterday afternoon to find out if they have something in stock I was told there was three of them in stock not to work I drove up to Sacramento this morning and when I got there it is not what I expect I drove 93 miles from San Leandro to their store 93 miles back home which is a total of a hundred eighty six miles and they didn't have what I anticipated only because I was given the wrong information on the phone I asked for a zip up sweatshirt with red flames they said they had 3 in stock that were 3x when I got there the gentleman showed me an orange he did show me a red flames but it had the Iron Cross which was brought to my attention yesterday and I said I don't want to cry so I just want flames total totally incorrect when I got there I was so upset I asked young man if he was the manager or the owner he said I'm the manager and there's nothing I can do then he started asking me questions like did you ask for a red sweater with Iron Cross I'm sure she told you well I respect him for sticking up for his employee but I asked all the right questions but in a retail sales business for over 60 years and communication is one of the best ways of building trust from your customer I am so disappointed and renegade I would never ever recommend them to anybody the attitude of the manager was a smirk on his face sang oh well not the right answer not I'm sorry I'm sorry for the inconvenience I'm sorry for the miscommunication I'm sorry for you having to drive 200 miles and two hours to go back and forth or three hours or whatever it is he showed no I'm ready. On my sales team because I would have had to replace him probably the first week what's a renegade stores I know there any family owned like they're the only ones in the world that have motorcycle parts & accessories helmets xcetera they're not I'm not sorry for having to tell the truth of what had happen to deal with people who can't speak the truth or try to help you or accommodate you if there was anything worse than one star believe me I would give him that rating but the best rating I can well I hope you stay in business for a little longer but your employees need an attitude adjustment read more

I've been into this store several times because of their selection of leather, pins and patches. Always a good experience with the counter people until I was passed off to the manager/owner for an approval on a return. Admittedly, I had the item longer for longer than 90 days but after finding that it didn't fit my bike (after being told it would) I put it right back in the packaging the way I got it and set it aside in a drawer in the garage with the intention of returning it. As a matter of fact it was suspicious that the item I bought was a return from someone else because it had staples closing up the top of the packaging suggesting it was opened at some point. When I tried to return it the owner said he wouldn't take it back because he no longer carries the item and that he was having a swap meet in the parking lot the next day and I could try and sell it there. I told him that I was willing to accept store credit and reminded him of the business he would lose by making such a decision....to no avail. Obviously, just my opinion, but his decision to not accept a return on a $34 item under these circumstances was a very poor business decision considering I will never shop at this store again solely because of his decision as well as his attitude. read more
