We booked a couple weeks in advance and ended up going on Sunday, rather than Saturday, like we wanted. Oddly enough, they're closed on Saturday. We arrived early for our appointments and were quickly greeted, given forms and asked to use slippers. Within a few minutes, I was taken in for my massage and my friend to her facial. The rooms are lovely, and the spa itself is quite small. Fully functional and they're making great use of the space, but definitely small. My massage was awesome... deep tissue, which is my preference! She worked some magic indeed! When doing more than one treatment, you change into a robe. They have a lidded basket for your belongings and it's taken to your next room with you. I relaxed in one of the pedicure chairs drinking cucumber water while I waited for my facial. Rooms were changed out quickly and the aesthetician took me into her room. She did a great job, however was a little heavy handed a couple times and really spoke too quickly in the beginning, coming across as extremely rushed. As a medical aesthetician myself, it seemed a bit odd, since it didn't come across as calming, which is generally a goal. I kept my credentials to myself, because I personally like to see how services are provided and preformed when they don't know. When all was said and done, I was quite relaxed and we were both very happy with the experience overall. So much more than the local spa we went to last year... to the point that my friend didn't even remember where we went. I guess you know it's less than mediocre when you've blocked it from your memory. As I sat in the entry putting on my shoes, we wondered what they do with the slippers, hoping they're not put on the rack for someone else to wear... moments later a gal comes out with antibacterial wipes, wipes them clean and puts them away. Nice to know! We both agreed, we will definitely be back!

From intake to throughout her massage sessions she is constantly seeking her client's feedback and finding ways to improve the experience. I've received a lot of massages over the years, and I've never had such a relaxing experience and felt so in tune and grounded with a person. My schedule is fairly demanding and Caryl is also willing to work with me fairly short notice to get me in. For those interested, she is also a certified medical massage practitioner and is constantly looking to improve her professional knowledge. For me it's important to have a feel of cohesiveness, trust, & comfort; especially when dealing with the vulnerability that you have to kind of surrender during a massage. My husband and I had a couples massage that was purchased off of Groupon. He was paired with Tammy and I Travis. Travis hit areas that I had no clue I had pain in. You can tell he really listens to your body's reactions in response to his manipulations. He worked a lot with pressure point release while still maintaining a fluidity of movement. Whereas me being a (what my husband and family calls me) modern day hippie my husband he is NOT he likes to forget the science and "hoopla" behind it and just wants a sound relaxing, put to sleep massage. That was expectation was not only hit but surpassed by Tammy's gentle touch. When talking with them you can tell they both have a genuine respect of the body. They both understand the "how" along with "what" it needs to heal. But wait it gets better! On top of that they understand the financial strain that massages can carry so they like to throw in little perks here and there to help "build up" your massage. I'm just saying. I love supporting small businesses and even more I love supporting a business that truly cares about their customers!

I'd broken both elbows last year and was still having a lot of tightness and discomfort in my arms & especially in the neck & shoulders due to whiplash.
