I had patio doors and windows installed in December 2022. As of today (8/23) the project is still not completed. Customer service is nonexistent. I have left several messages and emails that have been ignored. Today alone I left 2 voicemails and left a message with someone to have the person that is now handling my account to call back. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I highly recommend that you consider a different company. read more

I need a project done and made an appointment for someone to come out and give me a quote. Since many of my neighbors have had this done, I am aware it's a simple job for a competent window company. I gave a complete description when I made the appointment. I received 2 calls before the appointment. During the first call, I was told that they thought it was just a single window replacement and therefore I needed to send pictures before they would even schedule an appointment. Did they not read my description? Why ask for it, if you're not going to read it? I cancelled the appointment and told the representative that I am not interested in doing business with a company that asks questions and then is not really interested in the answers. I received another call today requesting information on why I cancelled. Are you kidding me?? I am already being aggravated by this seemingly incompetent company and they want me to trust them. I feel it may be because they know they are communicating with a woman in an over 55 community and since I will not let them take advantage of me, they can treat me with disregard and disrespect. read more

On 3/25/23 we placed an order to have 25 windows, a four panel sliding glass door, and another door to be replaced. We explained to our salesman that we needed to have the work done before Christmas as we were hosting wedding festivities for our son at our home. We were told that it would not be a problem and all should be installed by October latest. Many setbacks later along with many tense phone calls regarding the delay of our windows and doors ands they were finally partially installed in December,2023. Unfortunately a 3 window set that was replacing a bay window we currently have in our kitchen arrived broken and could not be installed and needed to be reordered, along with a scratched door and a broken window which were installed to be replaced at a later date. Also the stucco company that Renewal sent out was awful and scratched up many of our window frames with horrible cleaning up after their work was done. Once they left after the initial install we had a very hard time connecting with anyone who could tell us any information on our replacement for the broken windows. Finally we were able to schedule an install date for 4/4/24. That morning we received a phone call from Andersen telling us that once again the 3 window set arrived broken and could not be installed and needed to be reordered AGAIN! Even though they did have the other replacement panel and glass for the windows that were installed broken, they wanted to wait to install these new windows until the new reorder came in to come out only once for the install of all of them together. Thankfully I was able to get them to at least come and replace the scratched panel and broken window. I also asked them to please give me two week updates so I would know when I can expect installation of the 3rd replacement of the 3 set window. I will say that the team that originally installed our windows was the same team that came out that day and both times they were very professional and did a great job installing the windows - the day of the main install was just days after my father had died and they were so very courteous. Even though I requested it, I never received any updates until they called to tell me that they could schedule the install which we scheduled for 6/18/24. I received a phone call this morning 6/14/24 to confirm the date. I then received a phone call about an hour later saying that once again they could not install as they had only received one window and therefore they have to reorder again for the 4th time! I'm speechless! At this point I don't even believe I will ever see our bay window finished-we are now 15 months in! Another problem we have is that we have one more sliding door that we need replaced (at the time of the original order we understood that the sliding doors were on a much longer wait time so we held off on that one) and now I can't imagine dealing with Andersen in getting that one replaced. I guess we'll try going with another company and try to match it up. I am giving one star because the completed windows do look beautiful but I imagine we could have had beautiful windows with another company that was much easier to deal with. read more

Sales people were friendly as usual, but it was really disappointing work for our door replacement. It's unfinished, they needed to come back twice to make corrections and the project is still not done. Worse still, on one instance they swapped out the door handle and we had to point out it was installed backwards, the error was corrected on the spot, but it would turn and lock every time it was used. That fortunately has since been corrected. We wanted to change the door to add glass to get some daylight in the entry area, but everyone can see all through to the inside of the house. We have requested to change it since January 2022, but after multiple emails and calls and nothing has been done. Today they called me to ask me if I am available for someone to come and check the door glass for a tinting. The correct solution is that the glass needs to be replaced for security and esthetic reasons. Tinting defeats the purpose... these doors are not cheap. You don't always get what you pay for, sometimes you get less. We will never use them again or recommend them at all. read more

Very disappointed with the installation of our sliding glass patio door, which failed inspection. The installation was not as Renewal By Andersen TV commercial's represent. Screws were missing from door frame, caulking around trim inside and outside not done, door was too heavy to slide, and pictures were not taken of the bucking (anchoring of the door to wall). In addition, the installers forgot about the foot lock, which was left. They also left a mess. However, James and Mike arrived the next day for walk through and fixed all the faults. As it turns out, the installers were fired. Lastly, the screen door was either never ordered or no where to be found. Now, waiting over 3 weeks for the entire sliding glass patio door to be removed and re-installed so pictures can be taken of the bucking. In addition, we have to wait even longer for the screen door to be delivered and installed. Overall not a satisfied customer, especially with such a costly price! We will have to rethink our options for replacing our other 19 windows in the house. Shame on you Renewal By Andersen!! read more

This has been the worst experience of my life! A year and a half later and still not done with this company. Initally, one of my windows came in the wrong size so they had to reorder, tried calling many times to find out when that window would be installed..had an appointment to install, they blew me off then called that night to say they "lost" the window and would have to reorder.. several months later 3 guys came to instaill and it took over 8 hours to install..3 guys and a set of windows.. I am STILL waiting for an inspection to get rid of this company.. the County inspector finally just came and asked for the permit .. I know Anderson left this job outstanding for so long, they had to get another permit last year and never gave to me or the inspectors so here we are.. I since the contract July 28, 2022 and still not resolved.. the communication and managment of this company is HORRIBLE and they charged for this crapshow! I love the windows but would not recommend Renewal by Anderson to my worst enemy! read more

We paid $19,458 to have four large windows at the front of our home replaced. After waiting for over 5 months from the date we signed the contract, the windows were finally received and most of the work was performed on March 16/17, 2022 - but remains incomplete as of today. Trim pieces for some reason were omitted from the order and we're still waiting for this final work to get done. The quality of the windows themself appears to be very good, but time will tell in this regard. And they look great and really enhance the appearance of our home. Our complaint is with their customer service, which is poor at best. RBA employs a staff of customer advocates that wants to make you believe they really care about you as the customer, but don't be fooled. They used a lot of flowery language in their communications with us, but when it came right down to being honest, timely and responsive when conveying information or responding to questions and concerns, they are woefully deficient. Ask them as question or point out something they don't like, and they simply ignore you. I have a string of 35 emails between us and our "Signature Service Representative" that support this claim. If I can ever find the direct contact information for the person in charge of RBA Corporate Customer Relations, I'll send them a copy to show how poorly this office treats their customers. read more

The quality of this product is not any better than what you can get at Lowe's. The company outsources their installers and they are a joke. They've been to my house twice to rectify a problem and it is still not rectified. The project manager Eric does not return phone calls or answer the phone, nor answers text messages. He also had the audacity to outsource my bricks for my home from market place on Facebook. Right now I am left with $38,000 worth of product that is unacceptable. I have threshold's that are banged up doors that are not hung properly, a storm door that was destroyed when being placed back on my home after removing it to replace the front door that was ordered with the incorrect color. The front of my home where the bricks frame the window is destroyed. Along with the door that an employee decided to caulk because it looked like it was going to split as the other one did that was not even a year old, which, he was there to replace. They had to replace the front window due to water coming in from the top when cleaning with the hose. I would run don't walk run from Anderson windows. Don't waste your money learn from other people's mistakes. read more

With this Company, do not accept the first proposal and ask for a breakdown of the items charged. Our sales person was pleasant, but did not care about our concerns, he had a script that he had to present for over 2 hours on his iPad. He did not provide a detailed price per window. later on, we learned that if we had objected the total, we would have paid half of what was charged. We tried to cancel our purchase as everyone has 3 business days to do so if something was purchased in your house. It was a difficult task to cancel, as they tried to go over the third day by saying: We have received the request for cancellation...but would not confirm cancellation. We had to bring our attorney up to get our purchase canceled. I believe these windows are good, but unfortunately we can't trust them again. read more

From the time I ordered the door until it was installed was exactly nine months - much longer than I'd been told it would take. The door arrived damaged and it will be another six weeks (at least) before the replacement parts arrive (fortunately, they are only cosmetic - but for $20k, there shouldn't be large scratches). The installers told me that they were done - but didn't realize I'd heard them talking about one door being higher than the other. When I mentioned that, they said a technician could fix it when they came out to replace the damaged parts. I insisted they stay and fix it (I shouldn't have had to). There's also a half-inch drop inside the door that didn't exist before. The sales person explained that they'd remove the existing doors/frame and replace it is like condition (albeit, obviously, with the new/better door). Now they are telling me that I should find someone myself who can install a piece of wood in that trough. Again, I've asked them to speak to the company about this. On top of it all, my interest-free loan starts accruing interest today - not when the job is properly completed. Andersen has a great reputation and that's why I chose them. They have not lived up to that reputation for me and I won't do any business with them again in the future. I urge you to exercise caution. read more

Window are Great, Sales people don't tell the truth about direct employee installers, they use subcontractors and I found this out by looking up who owns the trucks and trailers that came to my house. Installers were great. Sales person missed the Water Closet. Now waiting another 2 to 4 months to get the house completed. Customer service fell apart! Stucco "subcontractor" cleaned the tools and stucco on my Brand New lawn and created huge dead spots. Anderson did nothing about this. Bad follow up and now it has been 1 month and no permit inspection has been done or scheduled. I owned a 30 million annual sales distribution company and if my employees treated my customers like this they would all be fired. Lets see if they finish my home and the window they missed. BBB and Anderson Corp is next on my list. This location has horrible management and the sales person Brad does not return a single call. Happy to post all my text and voice calls. read more

The windows are very well built and good looking. The installation on 1 was great but the 2nd was sloppy. The work was done on the 27th of December and have still not heard anything back from the person who was our contact. We sent pictures and descriptions of the faults to him. Make sure you look at all the windows not just the ones the installer shows you and don't speak to anyone via phone call to the office by installer, until you thoroughly inspect all sides of the installed windows. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. If you're looking at replacement windows, I urge you to consider any company besides this one. We've been researching different companies to replace the windows in our house for some time. Our plan was to replace a few of the windows to start with to see how pleased we would be with the product, installation, etc. In November, we had the salesman for RBA, Brad Boshek, come and give us the presentation about their windows. It went well. He seemed knowledgeable & the windows seemed like they would be a great addition to our home. Based on that, and on the reputation of Andersen windows, we decided to go ahead & replace all the windows in our home with them - a nearly $80k project. Although it is a huge number, we felt confident we'd be getting a great product & also increase the value of our house. We gave them a deposit of $25k and the next step was the windows were measured a few weeks later. The timeline we were given until install was 10-12 weeks. We have a couple of oddly shaped windows, one being an octagon & the other one a large arched window. RBA touts the customization of their windows so we designed exactly what we wanted as far as the mullions of the windows & we asked that we be able to see a drawing of what the finished windows would look like, especially the octagon & arch. We emailed this request originally to the salesman on 11/30/20, a couple weeks after we signed the contract. We waited a couple weeks & still saw no drawings. With Covid & heading into the holidays, we weren't surprised by a delay & felt we were patient. Finally received drawing for the octagon by email on 12/14/20. It was wrong. So we emailed again saying so & asking if the install would still be on track for 10-12 weeks, which would put them in at the end of January. This email was not answered. RBA also has an online project timeline that you can set up and view your window project. When we logged into there at the end of December, several of the windows were wrong. Now we were getting concerned that they would produce the windows wrong & not catch it until they brought them to the house to install. I don't know how many phone calls we made to address this - the calls were not returned. Including a call to the internal operations manager, Laura Pittman. She never did return the call but she emailed us apologizing, asking if we had any particular concerns, and saying she would call. We answered the email & expressed our concerns about the windows being made wrong. To this day, she has never responded to us in any way. They also have a concierge for your project named, Yamel. We placed many calls to her. She doesn't usually answer her phone and her voicemail message said, "I am no longer checking messages." What???? What kind of professional has this for a greeting on their voicemail?? The red flags are too many to count. On January 12, exactly 2 months since we signed the contract, we sent an email to Laura Pittman again, this time telling her if we did not get resolution, we would be contesting the charge for the deposit with our credit card company. This email also went unanswered but 2 days later, Yamel finally called and said she would get a firm update on the drawings and the project in general and she would for certain call us back the next day, Friday, January 15. That is the last contact we have had with RBA. Today is January 22, 2021. The windows were to be installed in less than 10 days and we have no idea what is going on. To say that we are stunned by this lack of response and horrendous customer service, on every single level of their company, would be a huge understatement. It's a shame, the windows have such a great reputation & they are beautiful. But can you imagine after this chain of events before they're even installed, what kind of nightmare any warranty issue would be? They behave like a company that is on its way out of business. This is a big investment, so learn from what we have been through and use any window company besides RBA. Run, don't walk away. Update: 2/1/21 Another manager named Dan finally called today, after they saw the above review on google. He wanted to point out that the 8-12 weeks install on our contract is an estimate. This is the 12th week. He seemed unconcerned that the time frame is not the major problem here. Complete breakdown of communication on every level of their company after they took a $25k+ deposit from us - that's the problem. When someone has that much of your $ and they absolutely stop responding to you, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. As well as most, if not all the windows in the online project timeline are still to this day, wrong. We now have 0 trust in this company & at this point, just want our money back. Doors are beautiful. However, DO NOT USE RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN. Use a local company, I guarantee you will pay less and receive better service and have a completed installation in a reasonable amount of time. The sales person was pushy for a same day sale, we felt rushed to make a decision on the doors. That should have been a red flag for me, but we wanted quality, so we bought the doors. BIG MISTAKE! Installation day came, and the contractor did not know what he was doing. Asking me how to install doors. What?!? Huge red flags!!! Contractor did not even show up when said they would later in the week. Would come one day for 10 minutes, and then no word for days. We would have to reach out to Anderson to see what was going on. Our installation is horrible! Our expensive custom doors look so cheap now due to the installation. Not to mention there is damage on our doors. Wrong screws were put in our door hinges, and that was after we told them that not all screws were put in the hinges. They installed our doors, without all the screws to hold them in place! One of our doors does not even open properly. Omg, the list goes on. Someone came out to asses the situation many times, still nothing has changed! I am currently waiting for someone to come out again to fix what they have been saying to fix this whole time. I am not holding my breath on anything being resolved or completed to our satisfaction. I have waited to see if they will do anything or complete the job before posting a review, but I decided to go ahead and give you all knowledge to save you the headache we have had with this company. I will be reporting them to the BBB if my doors are not completed soon and to our satisfaction. Removal and installation of the windows by Lennox and his crew was surprisingly quick, clean and respectful to all. Issues with scheduling and shutters permit requirement was another matter. Needing to purchase shutters for the purchase of the top-of-the-line replacement windows seems a bit odd, so why buy the-top-of-the-line replacement windows. read more
