Dr. Maggie Schaefer Gilpin then proceeded to tell my daughter that "she is too old to be acting this way". My daughter was very distraught and upset and the dentist refused to talk to me about the situation. Since that appointment I have tried calling the office twice to get a school excuse for her absence that day. The first time I asked that it be emailed, the second time I asked it be faxed. We got those replaced with new and even though I had other older fillings she wasn't concerned about them in their current state and therefore didn't try and convince me to get them replaced just because they were older. As a patient it feels good to know you won't be sold a bill of goods with unnecessary procedures. I've worked with two of her hygienists and they were both great. I go in every 3-6 months for cleanings. I see for 2015 she was voted most favorite dentist in Springfield. I'm not surprised. Well deserved.

Dr. Jacobs is particularly excellent with children. I was told by several people that she is the the best dentist in Springfield to see young pediatric patients. Did the X-rays and then Dr Schlee came in for my exam. He was nice and got right in there and gave it to me straight regarding my old fillings and possibly needing a root canal. Gwen finished up with routine cleaning and was very nice when I had to close my mouth several times because of my TMJ. At the end when scheduling my appt for fillings and reviewing treatment plan they were able to explain a way I could do things out of order to keep my costs down.

This office managed to get me in within a couple of days. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly by the staff. Everyone was very nice and understanding. I went back for X-rays within a few minutes, then took a seat in the dentist's chair. I explained to Tina what happened. I also explained that, as a disabled vet, money is not something I have large quantities of. Tina absolutely went above and beyond and saved me from having either crippling debt or a lost tooth. She gave me some extremely helpful advice involving my benefits, and the main thing is? She didn't have to. She didn't have to help me with something not involving the clinic. She did anyway, and that speaks volumes to me. She also was able to fix my crown temporarily, so I could at least walk around without an exposed (and very painful) nerve in my mouth. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. Because of my experience, I will always recommend the dental clinic to anyone who asks!

They will change doctors and then charge you for mistake they did. Also suggesting extra services that you don't need or your insurance don't cover.
