Filled out the paperwork while the 2 people up front chatted about how cool this new app was. The personal phones out so they can catch the latest on Facebook or the text from a friend was a turn off too. Yes I saw the phone and it was open with a long list of those who have texted. Really a turn off. Once in the back and not having to deal with the texting Facebooker addiction at the front counter it was much nicer. So it gets 2 stars today. read more

I absolutely despise when front office employees are snobs!! The health care industry has got to step it up! These front desk employees are glorified receptionist and need to realize that they're just that; GLORIFIED receptionist, not a Dr. or a Nurse! They need to drop the snobbishness and realize that they are the first impression of a business and they need to be reminded that when a patient walks in they might be in pain! My pcp orders a R wrist X-ray due to injury obtained from kickboxing. Jessica (my Doc) tells me: You can walk In, you don't need an appoint. I should point out that I read the sign that said have your ID and insurance ready, so naturally I take my wallet out and I'm prepared. Receptionist observes that I have these docs handy. I walk in around 3:ish and the receptionist (whom I will refer to as "the Moron") tells me that they are booked and that I have two options: Option 1: I could wait if I want but it's possible I could be waiting for hours due to being over booked or Option 2: I can schedule an appointment. I opt to schedule an appointment and inquire for soonest availability. The moron says: I have 10 O'clock. I reply: When???? At 10 O'clock?! He says: Tomorrow I've made plenty appointments typically they tell me date and times. I shouldn't have to assume the date! I respond: That works. Moron asks: Have you've been here before? I reply: No. He continues to type and sees me put away my IDs and Insurance card because I'm just scheduling an appointment (when I schedule by phone I don't need them) Moron then says: You have been here before. I reply: No, I haven't. Unless you are affiliated with Renown south meadows, or renown urgent care I haven't been to RDC. Moron says: Maybe you don't remember or you went to our Wells location. I say: umm, I'm positive I would remember if I've been here. I've only had an X-ray done once before for an ankle injury from soccer. Could you check when your system shows I was here? Moron replies In a snobbish tone: Well I can't right now but I can check after I schedule you. Then realizes that I've never been there before and tells me that my Doc ordered an ultra sound but I never scheduled an appointment. At that point the moron changes his attitude probably because he feels stupid. Then says oh I can't schedule your appointment until I have your ID and insurance card. Could the moron have possibly mention that before I put the cards away? He saw me putting them away he could've acknowledged me and warned me that he would still need my docs. As I'm getting ready to leave and wrapping my now "scheduled" appointment he finally starts to converse about his mother working for Renown so I mentioned that I used to work for Renown back when it was washoe med center and I've worked for Northern Nev Med center and I could see a total change In his attitude, now some what approachable. I went to this one after work and suppose to let family know about canceled plans. So i sat down and talked to my family in a low tone voice. That is when i see another person talking to the front desk guy Rick about me and how i talk on the phone. Right in front of me ! Then he calls me over like a school kid that i can not use the phone in here and i can go outside! Went in today for follow-up ultrasound and as with the other office, the whole experience was easy as pie.

I was referred there by my doctor for an MRI. After waiting a week for a scheduling call, I phoned them to find out they didn't take my insurance. They could have taken less than a minute to pick up the phone and call me to let me know that. Instead, I waited yet another week in an already agonizing situation. Very poor professionalism. Do not use this facility, check your other options! I went to do mammogram as annual exam, then received a letter that there are some "finding", which prompted second mammogram that I had to pay for. The quote was higher than subsequently my insurance benefits stated. In the argument between the insurance and RDC I was put in the middle. They bluntly stated there will be no refund check until dispute is settled. I contacted their management - Teresa Mahannah and Ronald Milbank. No response. It 's not the patient, it's the money they care the most. I also question their professional integrity. Avoid all of this. Go elsewhere. EC read more

I Visited the 625 Sierra Rose Drive Center on 3/10/18. I was 30 minuets early to my appointment, and the front desk checked me in and got things moving anyhow. I was impressed by how quickly I was registered and moving along. (the good) I was moved into the MRI machine, told to lay down and extend/straiten my knee, which was being assessed that day. They proceeded to straiten my knee beyond what was comfortable, but this was my first MRI so I had no idea what to expect. I was not offered any cushioning or support for my knee, nor did anyone ask if I was comfortable. Around 10 minuets into the MRI, Victoria the technician, stopped the procedure due to how much my knee was shaking. She told me that I needed to be medicated to move forward, and that I would have to reschedule. I began to cry as I had traveled from Tahoe taking time off from work to receive this MRI, and as well because the pain had become overwhelming. I began to sit up to walk out when she finally asked what would make me more comfortable. I let her know I needed to keep my knee bent, as it was too painful to maintain a strait profile. She reluctantly 'stuffed' my knee and retook the images quickly, telling me not to move this time as someone was waiting for me to finish. (how is this possible when I was seen 30 mins early!?) (the bad) I was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism and care for patient comfort by this technician, and as well her lack of training on how to communicate to patients in pain. I hope that this review helps Reno Diagnostic Centers to better train their staff on better bed side manner. (the ugly) read more

Let's face it, MRI's are not fun. I am highly claustrophobic and have had 3 MRI's the past year. Reno Diagnostic is great. This location has a machine that is a little older so it handles slight movements better, even with sedation I am still a little "ticky". The staff is always nice and it is less crowded than the other location. read more

Sitting in the waiting room with other patients and the two front desk people are talking about personal stuff non stop and loud. So inappropriate for a business. Not even trying to be busy just shooting the s**t. Nice now they are talking about other employees! read more

I have had 2 PET scans, an ultrasound and a mammogram done at both RDC locations and the experiences have all been great. They are very friendly and professional while taking care to protect your privacy. Their rates are much better than Renown and St Mary's and they are flexible with their payment options and they take Care Credit. Both facilities are clean and comfortable. They give you access to your test results online the same day. They can provide scan copies via a disk but you have to ask for it. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because they only do the PET scans at the main location and they are done in a trailer in the parking lot, which is very wired. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing imaging. read more

I was referred to Reno Diagnostic Centers for mammogram and When made appt. I asked what my costs after Medicare and part b prominence would be RDC rep. calling to schedule me. She said would call me with that info. prior to the appointment. No one did. Then they called to confirm the appt. I asked again and Again would call me. No one did. Upon arrival at Reno Diagnostic Centers on 06/20/2019 at 7:10 AM at 625 Sierra Rose Drive, the (Morgan) gave me forms to sign with 3 very specific forms for my responsibility for $ not covered by my insurance. I asked how much? I need to know what I am committing to. Morgan said they do not run the costs for mammograms or X-ray in advance. I explained that I need to know. I felt that I would have to leave rather than accept responsibility for an unknown amount medical bill. I would need to know what the cost is prior to making any appointments. I believe that they should be required to provide this information. read more

I was very impressed with the facilities at this imaging center, especially compared to my usual experience getting MRIs at a hospital. The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Sekhon was my radiologist and he was very knowledgeable and articulate. read more

I would not let my dog into this place for an X-ray or MRI. I arrived early I drove an hour to this place and wanted to make sure I had time to find the place. They said be here at 3:10 I arrived 2:30 they then said your appointment isn't till 3:30 I said it's almost 2:45 I can wait no problem and sat filled out paperwork. Then the MRI tech came out told the other receptionist that the wait time for him was over a half hour. I asked the receptionist if that meant mine as well she nastily said "yes and your appointment isn't till 4:30" confused I said I thought it was at 3:30? "That's for your X-ray your mri isn't till 4:30" so I said so I'll not be seen till atleast 5? "Yes" then she went back to doing something that equaled nothing in comparison to the other girl. Still I needed this procedure done. I saw in almost 2 hours 1 gentlemen use so many explosive colorful words then 2 sets of elderly people come in to have procedures done but were given a phone number told them to call that number and make an appointment but what really irked me was that it clearly stated walk-ins welcome but guess not them? Then that was it last straw after the nasty receptionist said "oh well don't care I'm outta here" and left the other girl with a room full of people. I hope that last girl didn't just get that job because if she did she needs to find another one with people who like their jobs in the medical field and aren't just in it for a Friday paycheck. I went to Reno diagnostics to get some x-rays done on my ankle. This was on Friday September 27th I scheduled an appointment at 11 in the morning. I proceeded to the back to have the x-rays done to my ankle the gentleman took me back to the exam room when he took several pictures. when he was done we proceeded out in the hallway and all he told me was thank you have a wonderful weekend. I thought to myself this is weird what do I tell my employer do I go back to work on Monday? Did I break something that I sprained something? He looked at me like I was dumb. I looked at him and I said I need to inform my ployer what I am going to be doing come Monday how do I get ahold of the results o will go up to the front and they will tell you what to do next. So why did so. I was not greeted very well and my questions were not answered appropriately. When I finally went through the rigmarole of what to do on Monday they told me that the x-rays will be done and they will call me to let me know what the results are. Before 4 p.m. I then proceeded to go to my next doctor's appointment they called and left a message to inform me that my x-rays were done and for me to come in and pick him up. I called him back and said that I was at another doctor's appointment and if they could tell me the results over the phone she said no I am not a doctor I said but you have the results right there in front of you you know what the results are right? She proceeded to tell me yes I do have the results I am not a doctor you have to come in and pick up the results or we can email them to you. This was not going to work out in my favor I cut my doctor's appointment short when back to Reno diagnostics to pick up the results. Much to the lack of disrespect they handed me two sheets of paper with the results. I didn't ask them what does it say I don't understand the wording. I was told oh just Google it and it will tell you what's going on. I thought to myself Google what the hell are you talkin about. I did demanded to talk to a doctor or someone with knowledge to tell me what is going on with my ankle it's swollen and it hurts and Google is not going to help me. They treated me like I was a nothing and a nobody like I was some kind of homeless person off the street wanting free advice of some kind this is not very professional in my opinion Reno diagnostics are not the world's smartest people they treat people with the lack of respect and the lack of information how dare they tell a patient to Google your results this is not acceptable and I will push this further read more

I have been to RDC on several occasions. I work in the medical field and I know how much healthcare costs. Since my deductible is high, I elect to go to RDC, pay out of pocket and have it submitted. I had a CT scan with contrast in March 2013- RDC quoted me around $400 which included the reading fee by the radiologist. The hospital in my area (Truckee, CA) quoted me $2500 and it DID NOT include the reading fee. Do your homework people, this is your health and you yourself are responsible for your healthcare decisions, not the provider. Get involved and take the time to make some phone calls. Although the front reception guys were nice.....I was sent over directly from my Dr in the same complex for a stat chest xray. They told me no can do, and that you must make an appt, which they did for me for a few hours later.The receptionist guy gave me paperwork to complete and said when you come back in for your scheduled appt, it should be quick. I came back with completed paperwork and was there an hour and 5 minutes. One front receptionist continued to apologize and promise me it would be soon. He finally personally took me to back to the area where you undress then sit and wait. I waited there in a hospital gown for 15 minutes and could hear a lady on the phone telling someone how to tell the difference between xrays, younger to older person, yay?! It turned out she WAS the xray tech! Someone needs to tell the complex physicians offices NOT to advise their patients having chest pain to go right over for a simple x-ray. This office must schedule too many procedures too close together or they are just extremely slow. When I finally got my stat chest x-ray, actually took about 3 minutes. AND, the anxiety of the wait did not help my chest pain at all. Next time I will go to Renown! read more

This was my first visit to this facility. I am new to Reno and my doctor ordered the Bone Density Test and a Mammogram. I was very impressed with the personnel that I encountered from the appointment scheduling department to Jon at the front desk...all very upbeat, friendly and efficient. I was at the sierra rose location in december for a mammogram and remember this young gal. I was having trouble writing and she came to sit next to me to fill my paperwork out and was very pleasant. I prefer the sierra rose location over the other location because it is much more relaxing. The front desk staff and the back staff at this location are wonderful. read more

Facility is cozy, although I just brought my husband in for an xray and there was one girl working the front and a line was out the door. Nicolle her name was, just threw me the paperwork and was very unprofessional, not nice at all. Seemed very crabby to be there by herself and didnt seem interested nor care about the people in the room.The xray lady, started with an A let me go back w/ my husband and was funny and made the experience more enjoyable. read more

I have been referred to Reno Diagnostics a few times by my doctor (mammogram, chest xrays, etc). I have never had to wait, never needed an appointment, and have never had to pay a dime at the time of services. They bill my insurance and what my isurance doesn't cover, I pay. I have been in and out of there in less than an hour everytime I have gone. Would highly recommend (I have only been to the Eureka address - by 6th and Wells Ave.) They are also open on Saturdays for xrays. read more
