She even took time to educate me on things teeth related that I didn't know (I found out I grind my teeth and she explained why that would happen and how to prevent the wearing of my teeth). When you schedule an appointment, know that it may take months for an appointment but you can always be added to a wait list during a day where you have flexibility to go to the dentist when last minute cancellations happen. They also verified my insurance and ensured everything was good to go for my appointment day. When arriving, they had all of my paperwork ready and I was taken back for service as soon as I finished. My hygienist, Missy, was very friendly and explained everything along the way. Dr. Worthington came in for the final check and she was great as well. She sat down and went over all of my X-rays in detail, explaining what she saw and sharing her recommended next steps. I had put in the form that I was potentially interested in whitening, so she shared all the information with me (you can do it at home or in office). I have 5 children and although they are definitely willing to help when I have to have kids with me during my appointment, I wouldn't say I necessarily recommend this office for young children's appointments. I have taken my children here, but would recommend a pediatric dentist where there is a children's friendly waiting room and dental staff who routinely work with young children. Overall, I love this dental office and Dr. Tiek is knowledgeable and friendly. I have had a few "emergency" dental issues and he has promptly addressed my issues after hours. My negative experience was driven by three main issues: * Pre-Appointment Support: Prior to my visit, front-desk staff were impatient over the phone when I requested basic assistance with registration details, offering excuses rather than straightforward help. * Accessibility Issues: In the waiting room, I requested paper forms because reading legal documents on a small smartphone screen is difficult. Staff reluctantly printed a document in extremely tiny, illegible print. When I explained that at 60 years old I needed readable text to understand what I was signing, my concerns were dismissed with comments that "this is what all our patients do." * Lack of Transparency & Patient Autonomy: After waiting past my scheduled appointment time, I asked to speak with Dr. J, only to be informed he had left due to a medical emergency. Staff openly admitted their standard practice is to wait until a patient is already seated in the dental chair before disclosing a provider swap. Withholding information about a provider change until a patient is already in the treatment chair removes patient autonomy and puts unfair pressure on them to accept a doctor they have never met. I don't think anyone particularly looks forward to a root canal. I had one with Dr Nasser earlier…read morethis year and it was quick and painless. I had zero issues. No swelling, no infection and healed up quite nicely. I was out to dinner the same night and people were shocked I had a root canal the same day. I guess there really is a stigma about the procedure and everyone including myself was impressed at the speedy recovery. I returned for my follow up appointment this past week just to ensure everything still looks great. It was really just a formality and for peace of mind. I was reminded of how kind and friendly Dr Nasser and his staff are. If I ever need a root canal in the future, I will definitely return and be way less anxious knowing I can trust him to do a great job!
