If you've never had an aura cleansing/energy tune-up, you're totally missing out. Seriously, when I feel like I'm in a funk for no good reason, I try to get my arse over to the RPI, ASAP! For those close-minded folks--It's not devil worship, it's not blasphemous, it's not a bad thing at all. If you're a skeptic, try one of the free clinics and get a taste for how amazing a healing can be and feel for your psyche. Like, on Tuesdays (5p-7p) and Sundays (1p-?), they have a free Energy Healing Clinic. Its a quick session, and donations are welcome. The clinics are free because they are usually performed by practicing or recently graduated students, though there are also some very seasoned healers there to oversee and/or help out. The healers basically locate and pull out any bad energy that has contaminated yours and they, like, re-align your natural energy to make you feel balanced. Sometimes, they tell you about a past life or two and how what is conflicting you today may be leftover from another lifetime. There are also free Men and Women Energy Clinics on the 2nd and 3rd Thursdays of every month. Men's energy healing is on the 2nd Thursday (6p-7p), and Women's are on the 3rd Thursday (5p-7p). Aside from the free clinics, there are also half-hour to hour long Aura Readings on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5p, by appointment for $30. These are awesome to get more in depth and really dig into all your layers of aura and chakras, your current and spiritual path and to help you really get in touch with you. And on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7:30p, there is a Trance Medium Healing Clinic. It's $30, and the healer actually channels a spiritual healer to connect with you on a spiritual level. It's a "spirit to spirit" healing, about 20 minutes long.I have not done this yet, but am hoping to check it out next month. I'm really excited! Of course, if you are interested in being a Reader or Healer, this place is an institute (duh!). They offer classes/programs for those wanting to learn or hone their skills. Set up a session with someone named Christina. I have worked with psychics for the past 15 years, and I NEVER have felt like I have spoken to one who is outright a farce...until NOW. For an entire hour, she just had weird information, none which was accurate. Brought up lots of things that were simply unverifiable and useless. Past lives supposed to tell me what's going on now? So she told me past life stuff, but never brought it around to now. I asked her about my partner/love life. She said the passion was dead. WTH? Not even close, we're wanting to move in together!! I asked her about what I should be doing for a business, what was my calling. She listed off a TON of things that were nothing I would EVER consider, and when I called her out on it, she said "YOU are showing me all the things you DON'T want to do." Ummm, what? Blaming me for her inaccuracy, saying that I was the one doing it. Kept talking about roses and their colors, made no sense and told me nothing. I was in tears at the end of the call, I felt worse, more hopeless than I did at the start of the call AND NOW I'm out $125 on top of it. Several Yelp reviews of BPI offer appropriate warnings made by students and community members that detect and reject typical cult like abuses in organizations that could be benevolent if they stick to teaching tools with virtue instead of the vices they use to manipulate people. At Reno Psychic Institute, it's as if their food is negativity, gossiping, insecurity, gaslighting, double-speak, invalidation, degradation, manipulation, and strife stoking. I choose to live in joy, free thinking, beauty, love, and respect with my time, money, and energy which wasn't well received there. They push people to live in fear, insecurity, and play small Everyone is psychic and can develop intuition. It's science and tools to organize energy work but only if you use them in benevolent ways energized by elevated feelings loving and respecting yourself and others towards what you choose to create. My first teacher, and 3 classes here with her were positive, respectful, and fun. The next teachers revealed terrible ethics, spending all class with insecure, toxic students insulting and making fun of people that come in for readings and other students. After a month of this getting worse, not better, with increasing gaslighting for asking they implement a code of conduct (they have none), I took my $250/month business elsewhere. The only code of conduct they demand students sign says students pay for any legal actions and cannot fraternize with others or take other spiritual classes without permission. No code of conduct on respecting people or confidentiality of readings or no name calling (it's unreal adults need to be told not to name call in a school. But, they couldn't and wouldn't stop.) This group of people give extremely negative interpretations of life to breed insecurity, manipulate control over people, and to sell more classes and readings. They say the most toxic absurd things to justify abuse and blame others, rolling eyes at people, name calling, and then saying people cause the abuse themselves "psychically." It's not a healthy sign when people use the same predatory blame shifting that child abusers, rapists and murderers say. From a comedy lens, it's funny like the show "The Good Place" where evil acts like good. But, it's also extremely harmful to children, women, and people who are abuse/trauma survivors vulnerable to further abuse that places like this seek to capitalize on. Have the confidence to tell manipulators, gaslighters, and abusers to fork off. That's the best psychic development tip to start with! Other schools teach the Berkley Psychic Institute tools better with empowerment, laughter, joy, love, respect, and beauty. It's funny and creepy that anytime I shared about love, service, ethics, beauty, and having fun in my psychic life with learning, I got either blank stares, disapproval, or angry eye rolls from the majority of people in that place. This place is a hole in the wall, so it's hard to imagine more than a few psychics doing readings here at one time. The woman running the store has that scary gypsy look going. She carries a number of pagan items, such as sage that is burned to ward off evil spirits, and candles intended to absorb negative energy. Her shop is more like someone's home than a store and she carries several versions of my favorite stone, pink quartz. You can buy the raw stone, a rune, or in different styles of jewelry. I might purchase it as a pendulum (I'd make into a necklace). The place has nooks and crannies everywhere which add up to plenty of character. The store is two stories, the second story being a converted attic where more items are on display and where readings take place. There's so little room to display items that even the bathroom is filled with things for sale. Every kind of homemade soap you can think of, along with aroma therapy can be gotten here.
