Staycation after a banquet was perfect. We didn't have to drive home. We enjoyed the casino for a little bit too. The room-one of my peeves in hotel rooms are the lack of luggage racks. Our room had 2-yippee. It makes sense 2 people in a room 2 sets of luggage!! The king bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. The bathroom was nice, water pressure was good in the shower and so was the lighting. One interesting item was the use of comps at the restaurants. I was told we could only use them Sunday thru Thursday. Kind of peculiar that they are limited. read more

However, because of their excellent service and popularity, it can be difficult to get last-minute reservations -- so definitely plan ahead if you have the opportunity. We ordered late-night room service and Juan was very pleasant and personable. The food was pretty good, especially for the time of morning. Okay let's start off with the bountiful water dispensers in and around this hotel. 10/10. Purified, cold water - everywhere. That deserves 5 stars. I would stay there again just for that. We booked a king room and it had a great view of the city and mountains. Double vanity bathroom sinks and large walk in shower. I really enjoyed the seating area by the window. Very chic design. The gym was sizable with lots of equipment and free weights. They also had fruit infused water and fruits after working out. Definitely recommend. 10/10. read more

The refurnished rooms are beautiful, but the streaming tv service SUCKS, I changed rooms and I had to reset the streaming every 15 minutes, WTH? Not only that, but I had a room with a connected door and a stranger started unlocking it from their side!?!? Main reason for switching rooms (from 1240 to 1012), the shower in 1240 worked great, but 1012 has a prostate issue. Would I stay here again, prob not. Enjoyed my two-night stay at the Atlantis - note: I stayed for the updated rooms, fitness center, and location near a class I was taking. I did not partake in the casino. As expected for a casino hotel, the lobby is over-stimulating: lights, sounds, and a strong smell of smoke. But the recently-renovated guest rooms are clean and well appointed, and mine felt tranquil in comparison to the lobby. My room had two queen beds with white duvet covers, closet with safe and iron/ironing board, a spacious desk area, an empty mini-fridge (love this for keeping some drinks/snacks cool!), a coffee machine, and a spacious bathroom with stand-up shower. Each floor had a drink vending machine, ice, and a filtered water dispenser (love this too!). The fitness center, spa, and pool are on the third floor. Unfortunately the spa facilities are only available for those getting spa treatments - I get it, but do love when a hotel opens these up for all guests. I did visit the gym once for a quick treadmill run. It had a few treadmills and other machines, free weights, and more...enough to keep your routine going while on the road. read more

We took a little Thanksgiving getaway to Reno and stayed at the Atlantis Hotel. The location is perfect for a mix of fun, relaxation, and a bit of casino excitement. The hotel itself is clean, and has that classic Vegas-style vibe ...but I have to be honest cigarette smoke is noticeable throughout the property, which can be a bit overwhelming at times. I know it's a casino, but I wish they could have done more to improve ventilation to make the stay more comfortable. read more

Finally checked out their spa since my hubby had said they had lots of amenities in addition to their massage services. They offer the nice perk to use their amenities the entire day, in and out privileges in case you wanted to roam around the property. We checked in early to put our swim clothes in lockers and were escorted to the changing rooms. We gave our sizes for robes and slippers upon check in but my hubby was given the wrong robe size and had to find a replacement. Mentioned it was my first visit and wasn't given a tour of where all the amenities were like the brine room and jacuzzis but told I can ask for directions later. The tea lounge room was nice stocked with snacks and beverages but a bit small with only about 5 seats. I found a few times where it was packed with no seats available. Men and women's changing rooms have their own sauna and steam room. I utilized their steam room which was spacious and super hot with an herbal scent. They had lots of staff always coming in and out of the changing rooms to offer assistance or restock toiletries and towels. When I peeked in to the jacuzzi area, I noticed only one jacuzzi was usable and full of people with the other drained. I had a 90 min deep tissue massage with Michele while my husband had a 90 minute Swedish with Jolana. We both enjoyed their massages as they really focused on areas where we were having tightness or pain in. It was a great experience and since we had dinner plans on property, we double checked about when we would need to return to retrieve our locker items. The girl at the front desk confirmed they would be closing the changing rooms at 9 pm. So while at dinner, we had to step away one at a time to get our locker items. When my husband went back at 8:30 pm, their staff was already cleaning out the men's lockers. He was upset that they had removed his items when the front desk confirmed it wouldn't be closed til later. The staff handed him his items. Luckily when I went to get my items, it was still in the locker. Not the best last impression of the spa but overall, we had a great afternoon. Definitely recommend going early in the day to have time to use all the amenities they offer. It kind of makes sense that they charge a bit more than our normal massage place with all the additional offerings. read more

We enjoyed our recent stay. Rooms are spacious and nice. Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in shower area. Bathrooms are well lit and the mirror lighting is a bonus. Plenty of space to unpack and put clothes away. Small fridge and desk area. A seating area by window with comfy chairs. There's also a small coffee machine in the room. Bed as comfortable and there's also a large tv. Our check-in process as easy and we were able to get a room right away. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. We were located in the concierge tower area which was perfect for us to get to everything easily during our stay. Everything seemed newer and very clean in terms of hallways and rooms. Simply beautiful Inside the Casino. Great energy with a nice waterfall feature - it adds a bit of " peace" as you ride the escalator upstairs to the kids game room with video games and a pie shop. There is a nice " bistro Napa " upstairs to get lunch with conference rooms The rooms are very nice and updated - Don't forget " toucan Charlie's ". ... I would say the best buffet in Reno. My experience . The Manhattan Deli brings back Memories of all the NY food . Mmm. They have what you crave. There is a bake shop right next door. Sooo good and a great selection of cheesecakes, fruit tarts and look at the pic- mouthwatering sweets if that's for you . There is also Asian cuisine next door. You can't go wrong. Easy parking. And a fast check in experience. The staff is nice- lots of smiles and good service - I'm happy- the young lady at the bakery is so nice and very helpful It's more into Reno away from downtown- I like it that way - just how I like the Grand Sierra - it's away from the Row. Head Line: Surprisingly Good stay with a caveat. It's been quite awhile since I have been to the Atlantis but it was close to a place we were visiting so it was a natural option. Entering the hotel it does feel a bit dated with the old school decor and windows everywhere. The casino floor felt like every other casino that has been around for quite awhile which had me worried. There was that unmistakeable smoky smell but actually pretty tame for how old this hotel is. However, when we got to our floor and our room I was pleasently surprised. It seemed like they went through a renovation since my last visit (which was many years ago.) The room was well appointed clean and the bathroom looked great with the double vanities in our two queen suite. The only issue I had was the bed was FIRM. Probably one of the firmest beds I have rested in. I slept but it wasnt the best sleeping experience I have had. We tried a few of the food option such as the Red Bloom and the Purple Parrot. The food at the Red Bloom was pretty good and Purple Parrot had decent american fare with good portions. The had a decent size arcade for the kids but there was a issue with a couple of machines. Thankfully there was staff nearby to refund us for those machines! Parking was great and the really nice part of this hotel is that they had FREE charging for level 2 charges - J1772. The handles were broken but the charges still worked and there was open charges everytime I went to park. Be forwarned and there is a loitering charge if you leave your car plugged in that is quite step, so dont stay on the charger! Great stay and worth a visit if staying in the area! read more

I came to the Atlantis today for a Newcomers monthly luncheon in the Paradise Ballroom. The Atlantis Casino Resort & Spa looked so tropical inside. The gift shop, as you walk through the casino was so impressive. I loved the purses, jewelry and the girls at the counter were very kind. The clear light bulb chandler was fabulous. Going up the escalator, looking down at the view of the Casino from the top, with all the Trees and Waterfall, is like a tropical vacation in Paradise. The vibe was calming and I wanted to just walk around and see everything....but I was heading to the luncheon. I didn't want yo be late. I saw the big sign that pointed me to the Ballrooms. This was my first group luncheon & meeting. Once in the Paradise Ballroom the tables were elegantly set with many round tables for lots of people to sit comfortably. Water, Iced Tea & Coffee all ready for us. The Service Staff came out and it was an impressive site. The servers started with the salad service. Fast and polite. The lunch was beautifully created and presented on the plate, it was Excellent. A Five Star dining, customer service, meeting & entertainment experience all in one beautiful Paradise Ballroom A. Everything was set up for our group. A microphone, podium, tables for the raffle gifts and room for the entertainment. As we completed our meal and had our very delicious Strawberry Cheesecake dessert, Catfish Carl & Rockin Robyn played and sang for us. They were outstanding performers, we sang along to songs we knew way back when and I hope the Atlantis has them back again soon. Loved their music. I will definitely come back next month for another amazing lunch & meeting experience. I want to check out the sky bridge and look down on the road while having a cocktail. I will be sure to come early so I can walk around the Atlantis Casino Resort and check out what this amazing Casino & Spa has to offer. Love visiting during football season at the Sports Bar near the sports betting area. Most major games played on the TV's. Ask for the Happy Hour (5pm-6pm) menu with 50% off value meals. I will say that the spa and all the treatment rooms are absolutely beautiful and have a great ambience. The only downfall would be just how small it was. Based of the pictures I had seen while doing my research I was shocked to see how small the steam showers, the hot tubs and shared areas were. My Bestie and I went for my birthday which was on a Thursday, while we were waiting for our massage we tried to wait in the waiting area except there was no place to sit or stand. I came here for a conference. Honestly this might be the worst hotel I've stayed at. The rooms reeked of smoke, as did the common areas. I really felt like I would leave with lung disease ugh. Their room service folks were very sweet though and made sure the rooms were fully stocked. The rooms were dated and old, musty and dusty. The casino was sad and dated too. A lot of smokers throughout. But I don't know that I should have expected anything else honestly. The conference wing was totally trash in my opinion - not enough charging stations. The furniture was dated, the catering staff couldn't keep up with requests. They had a 'concessions' stand here, that sold $10 coffee drinks, it was ridiculous. Food options are limited in my opinion and nothing I tried was worth the price we paid. Overall, don't think I'll ever want to come back. read more

What a beautiful and clean hotel. The room we got on 5th floor was brand new upgraded. The bed & pillows were sooo comfortable. the sheets were top notch cotton. zero smells. Zero mold anywhere in bathroom. so far, my favorite to stay at in Reno! They have Tesla Super super chargers And the overnite (slow charge) are free) but, good luck getting one, as there are only 4 or 5! I would definitely try the sushi restaurant on 2nd floor. The fresh crab cocktail was on point. I did not care for my lobster roll. My friend ordered the fish pot of some sort and said it was great. edamame was great. all in all would def. Go back. The deli was great & Larry the manager was 10+ stars for taking care of us. Ask to have the robot bring your food. Kinda fun novelty. Most every bar is stocked w/Rombauer Chardonnay and Justin Cabernet. Free drinks while gambling of any kind. Had a blast & met fun people. Will definitely choose this hotel to go back too! Straight up worst casino in Reno hands down. I don't think I've ever lost more money at any single casino. This place is a 10 out of 10 Loss. I've never come here and even had fun because most of the time I walk in with say $1-200 and it's gone quicker than I can say thanks Atlantis for the short lived and horrible experience. I'm writing this now at my 4th slot for the night: once again, out ANOTHER $200. I don't even know why I came here but I'll certainly go to Pep or Sid's from now on because they are just as reliable as this place is except the difference is that they reliably let you win. Even breaking even I can sit at either Sid's or Pep for quite some time and actually have a good time. But, here we are: leaving Atlantis with nothing as usual. That's $1,200 give or take over the last 8 to 10 times I've been here. I'm officially done with Atlantis. Will never come back and I intend to avoid it at all costs it's literally that bad of a Casino. If you want to have a good time: Atlantis should not even be on your list of choices, yes, it's truly that awful. Slots are tighter than a cast iron stove for Santa on Christmas Eve. Honestly I would be more willing to bet that Santa Clause were a real dude before I feed this place another dollar, but I'm a decent dude and I like to give the benefit of the doubt especially after this much loss here. That being said I am gonna go throw $5 in another machine and if I somehow by the grace of God manage to even get my money back I may change my review but if it's still a one star, you can bet that it surely does not even deserve that many stars. So, last chance Atlantis otherwise I will assuredly leave this review but also never come back. I don't like getting robbed consistently at a casino. I come to have a fun time but here? Can't even do that my money is sucked up so fast I may as well set all of it on a park bench in the middle of downtown Seattle, it may even last longer than it would here.... Period. Avoid at all costs. Do NOT, I repeat: Do Not come to Atlantis unless you're already rich because it does appear to be a place where only those with large amounts of money seem to win, though I've never known anyone to have actually won here which also says something. Another great evening at the Atlantis. Date night at, "A taste of Polynesia". It was a nice change of pace and almost everyone at our table was a good time. Buffet style and I fasted all day to save myself for this meal. I got all my favorite sides, and desserts. I even had a few cocktails at their open bar. Thank you Fernando for the tasty drinks! Service was attentive in picking up our plates and keeping our tables clear of clutter. We enjoyed the entertainment while dining. Thank you Atlantis for a fun date night. Atlantis knows how to holiday, and I can't believe it took me 15 years to experience it! The Thanksgiving buffet was simply incredible. They had everything you could think of and it was all wonderfully prepared. Considering they served 5,000+ people that day, this is a remarkable feat! I enjoyed plates of snow and king crab, house smoke scallops, perfectly cooked lamb chops and filet mignon, fresh salads, soup, and of course a slew of desserts! While the food was exceptional and the atmosphere elegant, what wowed me the most was the ability for the Atlantis to maintain their incredibly high standard of service for all of these guests. We were part of a large party (15) and got seated in a private room off the main hall, and never once were we looking for our server or wanting for anything. I also noticed that the team in the main hall was constantly checking with guests, clearing the tables, and ensuring everyone had a wonderful experience. The Atlantis is truly a remarkable property and we are so fortunate to have them in our community. Kudos to the entire team that makes this place hum! read more

Played a few table games on Friday July 3rd around 10 PM PDT and I stood to the side on my phone but Eleanor A came by to check on my 3 times and rudely told me I can't be on my phone which I know, but I am standing a foot away from the table and not playing. Most tables allow people to sit, but Arturo, who had an fully empty table, would not allow my friend to sit and watch and him along with Eleanor at his side said they have to keep following us due to aggressive and suspicious behavior when all we did up to this point was stand to the side and sit for 30 seconds. Arturo said the casino gets anxious when people are sitting and not playing and told my friend that he should learn to play and tried to convince us to gamble even though my friend said he never gambles and doesn't want to. After that Eleanor and Arturo said we need to stop trying to fight back or security would come kick us out. For an empty section and table, you'd think service would be better. read more

They even let me leave to go have lunch and come back. I don't have a lot of experience with other spas, but the few I have been to did not have as many amenities, nor was I allowed to leave and come back. The downside to this is it can get pretty crowded. I was there on a Sunday and saw lots of people, so I am glad I decided to book my massage on a Friday when it was not as crowded. They have several different experiences and I tried the inhalation lounge (comfortable longe seating with low lights and a color changing crystals), aqua spa (2 spas with different temperatures plus a cold plunge, super relaxing to soak in each and plunge and the on lie one the lounge chair to read for an hour and do it again), relaxation lounge (warm, but not as hot as the regular sauna, so I like this much better), and the fitness center to stretch my body out. I would definitely book at the Atlantis again just to go back to the spa. read more

Quick walkthrough the casino. I am not a gambler. Variety of slots, a handful of restaurants including a buffet and other amenities such as an arcade. I don't recall seeing an actual food court though, I may have missed it. read more
