We purchased a Buffett from this company in April. We we're told that it would be delivered to them by the manufacturer in June and they would get it to us the first week of July. It is now the first week of August. We went by the store a month ago and saw the Going Out of Business signs. At that time and every other phone call and email that we made were answered with excuse after excuse by Josephine, the owner. Now their voicemail box is full and they don't answer their phones or emails. I finally called the manufacturer and they said the piece we ordered has been in stock and ready to deliver for months. It's really very disheartening to realize that this company has made promises and taken money (we're not the only ones).it's unconscionable. read more

We looooove this little shop!!! My wife and I were looking to purchase a few pieces of furniture for our new home, and happened to stumble upon Reno Tahoe Rustic Modern during our search. We decided to make check out the store, and we are so glad we did! Right when we walked through the doors, we were instantly greeted by Joseph, who we totally adore, and the wonderful staff! Joseph did everything in his power to make help us out and made us feel right at home. My wife and I love the whole rustic modern feel, and we felt like kids in a candy store. We saw a long wooden dining table that we really liked, but decided to check out the other well known furniture stores in town before we pulled the trigger. We loved how helpful and friendly everyone in the store was, and we felt no pressure at all. After checking out the local competition, we ended up right back to where we started. Although some of products at the other stores may look nice on the outside, the finish and quality doesn't compare to what we found here. We purchased the long dining table, along with a another round dining table set and buffet table. They delivered everything in a very timely matter, and were so accommodating with our schedule! The folks that worked there were very nice and helpful. However, the owner was very loudly sharing her political views. Apparently democrats planned Covid-19? Customers were not asked to wear masks and I didn't see evidence of cleaning other than at the register. The owner had her mask under her nose for most of the 20ish minutes we were inside. This is not a new store even though there is a GRAND OPENING sign. The store is hard to get around (step up, step down, safety tape) and jammed packed with expensive rustic décor. Regardless of our political leanings, my friend and I did not feel safe in the store. We needed several rooms worth of furniture have since gone elsewhere. read more

Very cool place, small or maybe it just seems like it because it's so incredibly crowded. Hard to see everything, and move around inside. I'm not sure if I'd suggest less inventory or a bigger store. Really nice furniture here. Definitely the place to go if you're looking for rustic décor. On the expensive side, but no more so than any other high end furniture store. We were looking for something in particular, and they didn't have it, but offered to show up a catalog and order it. We didn't end up buying but it's a cute store. Parking is difficult. read more

I had been to another furniture store (across the street - smile). They didn't have anything that I was remotely interested in. I was doing the deal where you kind of talk yourself into liking something. As I was leaving the parking lot, I spied Reno Tahoe Rustic. I decided to check it out. Joseph provided excellent customer service. He wasn't pushy. He didn't try to talk me into something I didn't want. I was looking for a specific size for two end tables. He provided me with a measuring tape (I left mine in the car). He showed me styles and I found the perfect end table style for my family room. I read the reviews and somebody mentioned it being expensive. I can wholeheartedly say it isn't. I have been to every large box furniture store in Reno and it isn't. The store across the street was the same price and looked so cheap and poorly constructed. The pieces at Reno Tahoe Rustic are solid and "rich." I wanted to thank Joseph for a nice shopping experience. I am going to get through the holidays and be back to purchase my great end tables. read more

First visit to Reno Tahoe Rustic and so glad we stopped. Joseph was just delightful to work with and very helpful. Bobby was also helpful in pulling items down so that we could look at them and also with packing items for our car. Yes, in less than 45 minutes my wife and I bought a bench (not on our list) two stools and a light (also not what we went in for) for our dining room. It all started in November when we ordered a bed frame with drawers. And we would see it in 6 to 8 weeks . Well 11 weeks gone by and no bed frame, we were told 2 more weeks. So two weeks has passed and we called again and was told the frame would be in at the end of the week and they wanted to deliver it on Friday night around 7:30 PM. I told them no. I wanted to pick it up and do it myself.. Again they told me I can not pick it up until Saturday late afternoon this will not work for me. So they said they would deliver it Monday in the afternoon, so OK.. They were here around 1pm and started moving it into are home and bumping into the walls and door frames, I just wanted installed and for them to leave. They started putting it together and instantly I noticed they did not know how to do the job properly, they were putting screws in with the frame so far out of square I had to tell them to take it apart and to square it up. They again just started to put screw is and not pulling the frame tight. At this point I was done and asked them to leave, they picked up and left. So I ended up with a bed frame and drawers chipped up and screwed up. I called the company to complain and a get what do you want me to do ?? Really read more

I'm very unhappy. I've been trying to get new couches since January 3rd. I went to several stores in the Reno area and was struggling to find exactly what I wanted. Finally, I found Reno Tahoe Rustic and thought I struck gold. Found exactly what I wanted in my style and ordered the couches in specific fabrics that would work for me. I didn't mind waiting 6-8 weeks to get exactly what I wanted. Fast forward 6 weeks, I'm expecting the call that my couches have arrived. Instead, I got a call stating that the company that the couches were ordered from actually closed two weeks before, and they were just now telling me. They told me they were trying to come up with a game plan to still get the couches made, but clearly that didn't work out. Okay this wasn't 100% their fault, but I was definitely annoyed it took so long to notify me. I went back into the store and ended up finding another set of couches that might actually work...so I ordered those. You'd think after this mess, they'd find a way to put a rush on my order, but they didn't bother. I was told another 6-8 weeks. So here I am, 8 weeks out....and guess what! I still don't have couches! I needed the couches weeks ago for when family was visiting, but clearly they couldn't deliver on that. I was promised they would be here by the end of this week after having multiple discussions with the sales staff. They also tried to tell me it hadn't been 8 weeks yet (well I'm writing this on April 14th and ordered on February 17th...I dunno lady, that calendar looks like 8 weeks to me). They haven't offered any compensation for the initial mess up OR for the fact that these couches are now late. And they can't deliver until late next week because of my work schedule, which they were completely unwilling to work around despite the continuous frustration with their company AND the fact that these couches are now very very late. Needless to say, I have been very frustrated. I was thinking about furnishing the rest of my house with items from their store, but that's definitely not going to happen now. I'm quite displeased and will not be utilizing their services any more. Update: after 8 weeks and 6 days of waiting for my second order of couches to arrive, they finally did. And the were the WRONG COUCHES. Claudia, co-owner, managed to order the wrong item. Now I'm really, really done. I don't trust them enough to mail the check for the refund so I just had to go in myself. Not even an apology. So done. read more

We drove from the Bay Area to shop here and furnished our entire cabin in South Lake Tahoe and based on our experience with the Tahoe home, we are going to furnish another home that we are having built. All furniture arrived well wrapped and the delivery team fully assembled and installed all items and took away all boxes and cleaned up after themselves. Very professional and friendly. The sales staff is extremely knowledgeable and if they don't have something that you are looking for, they will find it for you. Prices are substantially lower than the trendy furniture boutiques around Tahoe, and its close to Costco, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, and the Atlantis Casino. If I could give this place no stars, that's what I would give. At first glance everything was wonderful. The items are very nice and extremely pricey. We ended up going in their for a mattress and a bed set. We found this mattress and it was a Stearns and Foster mattress and box springs. Really nice. Their as on Craigslist said this mattress and all mattresses were $499 new, not used. We loved the price. Not only did they have an ad on Craigslist stating their prices but they also had an advertisement at the store and on the beds, stating the specific price. So when we started showing interest in this Stearns and foster bed, the lady tossed the price and info laminate card on another bed and said that it was the wrong info. She ended up getting g another girl to sell the bed, and we told her that we were not interested at the price she stated, but we were interested in the price it was advertised for online and on the bed in the store itself. Long story short, we got it for that sa9le price. Everything was getting weird from then on out. They were going to deliver on Wednesday and give me a 2 hour window. I never got that call for a 2 hour window. I just wanted to make sure someone was going to be home. When I called they said that they had to call the delivery guys and about 45 minutes later, maybe a hour later they showed up. I was pulling in my driveway when they were pulling out. They said they were leaving and I would have had to wait till next week for delivery if they ended up leaving. I was pissed cause they never called then it was my fault. Anyways, they delivered and it was lame cause they didn't speak a word of english. When they asked if everything was ok, and I commented, they stated oh I don't know what I was saying. A few days later we ordered a bed set and it came. When we took the mattress off and put the bed skirt on the box spring then we were putting the mattress back, on the tag said that was on the mattress said reconditioned. I was furious. Livid actually. When I called the lady told me how sorry she was and I told her how deceitful they were and I wanted some sort of partial refund or a replacement of the mattress. They told me flat out that it was not reconditioned and that they don't know how and why it is stamped reconditioned in red. When I brought up the fact that I wanted either a replacement or refund they were more than happy to compensate. They said that they would send a check out and I would receive it in a few days. Low and behold a week went by and no check. I called and asked what was going on and they said that they never told me that and they were done with the conversation and hung up on me. I called back and they said that I needed to keep my mouth shut and they are not going to sell to me anymore and they are voiding my warranty and not replacing the mattress and that I had to deal with it. Maybe this was just a one time incident, but does that explain why they have had 3 business in different names and lost all 3 businesses. I definitely learned my lesson but I also hope that no one else goes thru this. I also checked the bbb and they were reported on all 3 businesses including the current and they were cited 27 times.
