Since my primary care physician left, almost a year ago, I have been trying to get established with a new doctor. Because the doctor had to reschedule two times, and it takes over 3 months to meet with someone as a new patient, I am now going on over six months of waiting... Even if it was the doctor who cancelled each time. I do not mind needing to be rescheduled, but when it takes over 3 months it gets pretty frustrating. If I had a major medical illness this would be very problematic. But, because I am a complete push over I still zipped by lid, rescheduled, and waited patiently. 6 month later, The day I have been waiting for has arrived!!! But wait, yet another cancellation has happened, this time without any notice. At this point, I will not be calling back and I am done with Renown. The only reason why I am not giving this review one start is because my previous doctor was phenomenal.

I was brought to the back immediately following. I sat down, the young lady asked which arm, and started to do her thing. I was done within seconds of her inserting the needle. In my case it appeared to be food poisoning opening the door for middle ear infection and vertigo. Since I didn't need x rays or anything extensive, we were out of the clinic in about thirty minutes. Not only did I do the check in and signing online I also had talked to the person when I arrived and she asked the routine questions and then said I was all set and they'd call me in a bit...to me that sounds like I was checked in. I finally get called and sit in the room for only about 7 minutes thankfully and then the doctor comes in looks at my face at a distance and proceeds to tell me she'll prescribe me steroid cream for my face, apparently she thought it was eczema. Terrible experience and I'll never go to this location again. The front desk staff didn't show any concern or apologize for them not doing their job correctly.

There were no signs posted anywhere stating that they stop accepting walk-ins early or that they close check-ins at 2pm. The staff member who came out (a white lady) was rude and unprofessional, speaking dismissively to customers waiting in line. Here's the funny part... while I was writing this review, Yelp says they close in 42 minutes, and my phone time was 3:18pm. Seriously? Is this a joke? Who's managing this location?

The office is clean, and I really appreciate the extended waiting area because it gives everyone a little more space and privacy. It's located on the second floor with both elevator and stair access, so it's easy to get to. Clean, efficient, comfortable, and genuinely pleasant staff. Definitely a 5-star Labcorp location!

I had checked in on line which saved me about 15 minutes. Paid my co-pay, waited about 15 minutes and was called into a room. Vitals done, check then a brief wait for my " New Primary"! She was friendly and extremely thorough, we spent an hour going over my medical history and I got some orders for routine bloodwork and a bone scan which I've never had. I'm happy to have Shannon as my new PCP and asked her to please not leave! ( She said she wasn't planning on it!).

I've booked an appointment online ahead of time and have had great success with getting an appointment in a shortened booking window, aka the day before or morning of. The first appointment was after Thanksgiving 2023. Staff was super efficient and seemed to care. Sometimes during the holiday season, I've encountered gruff employees who are just over the season. But not here. Staff took their time and focused as if I was the only patient in the building. I was in and out with my appointment in record time. My second appointment was right after new years, or so I thought. I don't think I completed the appointment booking process, but staff was super kind and got me in as a walk in. She told me there were two ahead of me, so I hunkered down thinking I'd be waiting for an hour or so. Nope, 15 minutes and I was back being seen. It seemed that one lady was being trained by a guy, so my only critique would be that I was told she was training because I was certainly confused why I had two nurse people this time and only one the last time. The Nurse Practioners/Doctors I saw each time were very caring and thorough with their diagnosis/prognosis/aftercare. Would Definitely recommend this location.

Nice to know there's a company out there to handle matters with ease and professionalism. Whether you have a company with a lot of employees or have individual requirements, this is the facility. They offer an extensive range of personal and legal AABB certified DNA paternity tests, DOT reasonable suspicion and 24/7 mobile on-site drug and alcohol testing, and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. The prices for their services are really a bargain. They also offer affordable group prices for your company. The at home dna kits come in a discreet envelope so you are able to get the samples without unwanted scrutiny. Another plus, most companies want you to open an account, Detect Lab doesn't. I have been a patient at Reno Diagnostic Centers for many years and previously received reliable…read morecare. While some staff members continue to provide excellent service, my recent experiences highlight several areas that need improvement. Scheduling and communication issues have become a significant problem. My doctor ordered both a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. During my initial attempt to book the appointments, the first representative was inflexible and insisted I use a different location instead of the Sierra Rose site I requested. On the day of my appointment, I waited more than 30+ minutes past my scheduled time only to learn that the appointment order had been changed without notice. The sonographer performed the ultrasound first, found everything clear and benign, and, after review by the onsite doctor, recommended canceling the mammogram. The sonographer was very professional and thorough; however, the issues were clearly outside of her control. This was a front office and scheduling problem. The overall coordination was poor and confusing. Compounding the frustration, I received a follow-up call the next day informing me that I still needed to schedule the mammogram. This was especially stressful and confusing, as it directly contradicted the previous day's assessment and my doctor's original orders. For the next couple of days, RDC continued calling me persistently about scheduling a follow-up mammogram. The representatives had difficulty communicating clearly, and the calls ended without resolution. I'm also unsure whether it is standard practice to override a doctor's order for a diagnostic mammogram when one was performed within the prior 30 days. Additionally, as a self-pay patient, I was charged a 3% interest fee on my credit card (waived only for cash or check). This practice feels inconsistent with industry standards and adds unnecessary burden to patients. In today's largely cashless society, this feels like an unnecessary burden on patients. Medical practices can typically deduct these fees as business expenses, making it preferable for the office to absorb them rather than pass them on to loyal self-pay customers. It appears the center has undergone an acquisition, and many team members seem to be in training. These changes appear to have impacted service consistency and communication quality. I requested to speak with a manager and sent a follow-up email, but I have not received any response. I hope management will address the scheduling processes, staff training, coordination with referring physicians, and billing policies so that Reno Diagnostic Center can restore the high level of care it was once known for. This review is intended to help bring these issues to their attention.
