I thought, well it's in Sparks so I made the appointment never having been to USA parkway. Once I googled it this morning I saw it was 30 minutes from my house, not bad since I didn't have much to do. Well let me tell you it seemed farther then I thought but well worth the excursion! It's mostly industrial there then all of a sudden there's a little strip of storefronts with the Renown lab front and center. There's even a Burger King down from the building! I waited a minute outside then was questioned briefly on my current health and was allowed in. There was no one else waiting so I was sent over to Amanda who was friendly and greeted me. (Pretty sure she was smiling but had a mask on.) After she checked me in and we briefly chatted she took me back to get my bloodwork done and she was the one who did it. I barely felt the needle it went in like butter! I filled out a brief questionnaire afterwards and marked it as excellent and her service also! Definitely try this "hidden hotspot" if you're in need of labs! They also are an urgent care and today there was no wait time! ‍

I received a letter from my insurance that stated I was approved and fully covered for the deep cleaning. Despite this the office staff wanted to charge me $282.00 for the fully approved cleaning. It's fairly obviously they're trying to extort money from seniors and other low income people by claiming they were not approved. I left and will now go elsewhere. Be leery of dentist offices that tying scamming patient.

While some staff members continue to provide excellent service, my recent experiences highlight several areas that need improvement. Scheduling and communication issues have become a significant problem. My doctor ordered both a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. During my initial attempt to book the appointments, the first representative was inflexible and insisted I use a different location instead of the Sierra Rose site I requested. On the day of my appointment, I waited more than 30+ minutes past my scheduled time only to learn that the appointment order had been changed without notice. The sonographer performed the ultrasound first, found everything clear and benign, and, after review by the onsite doctor, recommended canceling the mammogram. The sonographer was very professional and thorough; however, the issues were clearly outside of her control. This was a front office and scheduling problem. The overall coordination was poor and confusing. Compounding the frustration, I received a follow-up call the next day informing me that I still needed to schedule the mammogram. This was especially stressful and confusing, as it directly contradicted the previous day's assessment and my doctor's original orders. For the next couple of days, RDC continued calling me persistently about scheduling a follow-up mammogram. The representatives had difficulty communicating clearly, and the calls ended without resolution. I'm also unsure whether it is standard practice to override a doctor's order for a diagnostic mammogram when one was performed within the prior 30 days. Additionally, as a self-pay patient, I was charged a 3% interest fee on my credit card (waived only for cash or check). This practice feels inconsistent with industry standards and adds unnecessary burden to patients. In today's largely cashless society, this feels like an unnecessary burden on patients. Medical practices can typically deduct these fees as business expenses, making it preferable for the office to absorb them rather than pass them on to loyal self-pay customers. It appears the center has undergone an acquisition, and many team members seem to be in training. These changes appear to have impacted service consistency and communication quality. I requested to speak with a manager and sent a follow-up email, but I have not received any response. I hope management will address the scheduling processes, staff training, coordination with referring physicians, and billing policies so that Reno Diagnostic Center can restore the high level of care it was once known for. This review is intended to help bring these issues to their attention.

The new building is clean and large. I really like going to the hospital for bloodwork since I'm a hard poke. I easily pass out too! Today the technician was very good. She got me on the second poke. She was very thorough and kind. I've been to other labs and they just give up if they can't poke me . Nevertheless, Renown is my to go place for lab work anytime! Thanks for a great experience.

From the moment I arrived, Carey was incredibly kind, patient, calming, and genuinely comforting. She has a natural way of putting you at ease, which makes such a difference in a medical setting. We got so engaged in conversation that time flew by--before I knew it, the appointment was already done. Carey was also extremely thorough and took the time to explain the timeline for receiving my results, which I truly appreciated. My poor grandma came back all upset because of how rude the girl was who checked her in and then told her she was late an hour and half later. And then a guy who was doing something at a copy machine decided to pipe in and be a bully to my grandma. I have worked in the medical field for the last 8 years and I understand frustrations, mistakes and the check in procedures but to bully an elderly woman who I personally dropped off a half hour early is extremely unprofessional and down right inappropriate especially for your profession.
