Dr. Lindsay Hall is, without question, the best doctor I have ever seen in Reno. Her compassion, attention to detail, and exceptionally high level of care blew me away. She truly gave me the care I needed and made an unbearably difficult situation bearable. She listened carefully, took everything into consideration, and provided thoughtful, practical advice. Her bedside manner, depth of knowledge, and overall attentiveness were outstanding--she accomplished what so many other doctors had failed to do for me. Dr. Hall is not only a remarkable physician but also a remarkable human being. She is a tremendous blessing to our community, and I am beyond grateful for her care. I grew up in NW Reno and have always loved this urgent care here if I couldn't make it into our family doctors office. I used to get my sports physicals done here as well when I was in high school. When the kids played league sports, my last visit was for a football clearance. Always clean, and the staff has always been pretty friendly. I brought my daughter in this weekend to get checked out since our family Dr isn't open on the weekends. The treating PA was sweet and gave us a referral, and went through all of our options. I'm glad we made an appointment ahead and were in and out. Ran a few errands on this side of town while waiting for her prescription to be filled, and I was on my way to pick up her medicine within the hour. I recommend this Renown facility and urgent care. I rarely think to give a review for doctor offices but I was impressed with the Renowns website and their services last week and had to give a shout out to them. I had to unfortunately visit renown urgent care last week and it being a holiday week I knew everything was busy and my regular doctor couldn't get me in. I was so grateful I was able to easily book an appointment online and not have to wait in the office for several hours. It also told you the average wait time if you just walked in I was very impressed by their website. The staff and the doctor were excellent and very knowledgeable. The waiting room was clean. Masks were provided and hand sanitizer. They tested me quickly for several viruses to accurately pinpoint the diagnosis and knew within 45 minutes what I had. Again, very impressed and efficient. My only complaint was that the wait time was still about 45 minutes off from when my appt was, but this was still better than waiting 3 hours in the office for a walk in.. They also had a more urgent allergic reaction Patient walk in which was the reasoning for the delay. Highly recommend! read more

I should have known better! When I first moved to Reno, I went to a primary care physician for my annual and was charged an outrageous amount for what should have been my annual (free) visit. Decided to avoid this place. A couple of months ago I needed an x ray and my Dr.'s office doesn't have an x ray machine so they sent me to renown. I've now received 3 bills from them, hopefully no others are coming and they are not even close to what I was quoted. They seem to give an "estimate" and then charge whatever they want. Their staff is great but their prices are WAY out of line with what other providers charge:( If cost is important to you avoid this place! read more

I have been coming to this urgent care for years and I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet! In the years I've been coming here I've never had a bad experience. Sometimes I have to wait quite a bit longer than my scheduled appointment time (if I have one and don't do a walk in), but that's normal in a medical setting. I'm often in and out fairly quickly and feel as though I receive good, quality care from any of the doctors working up here. read more

Slowest ever. I also called days before to make appointment they told me we couldn't make appointments for physical so we had to just show up. So we did I expected a wait but we waited in waiting room when others who were walk ins went before us until I finally asked them and than half hour later we got back to room to sit for another hour I drive two hours to get here and had to get back to pick up kids from school and when I asked how long because of this they just laughed at me like you should have made an appointment I said you guys told me I couldn't. We had a great experience here last time so we came back because the ER had a 3 hour wait. My girlfriend came out to the car crying in pain. Nurse practitioner Aaron was respectful but told her to just take ibuprofen and Tylenol to help with her pain until she could get in to her appointment on Tuesday. She hates pain pills and just wanted some relief but it seemed disregarded in a way. Kinda disappointing but other than that single incident, this place is really great. read more

This review is based on a visit today, 2-27-2022. I brought my family member in today as she was having a reaction to a possible spider bite. The young man and the desk first asked if I had an appointment, adding I would need to make one for later today. This was said before I had a chance to explain our medical situation. We've had excellent care within the Renown system, with a few exceptions. This is a training issue that hopefully can be fixed before a patient has a serious outcome. read more

Totally positive experience. Arrived early in the morning, told wait was 50 mind. They have burial check-in do updates to your cell phone keep you posted. Very disappointed in the aftermath of my experience here. It is currently 50.5 hours after my strep culture should have returned in 24-48 hours. Let me actually start by saying my visit with the PA Jennifer Tuesday night was pleasant enough other than me having to be at urgent care to begin with which is why I didn't give one star. I had a horrible horrible horrible sore throat since 2 am and had left work at 6 pm to go to urgent care you see I've had strep throat several times in the past couple years and I had no other symptoms of strep or a cold however but was hoping I could get ahead of it (I would never go to doctor for a cold)... Jennifer said my throat looked like it felt like I swallowed a knife how red and inflamed it was - and yep that was accurate. They did a rapid strep test which was negative which wasn't surprising as the last two times I had strep the in office test was also negative as there are different strains and they only test for the most common one (clearly I'm special) and when the culture came back it showed heavy growth of a different one..... so she says they will send a culture to the lab and it should be back in 24-48 hours and actually did write me a prescription but to probably hold off until the results to avoid any negative side effects from the antibiotics if there was no reason to begin them. She told me she would send my results over to"my chart" which is an online system that Renown uses which is actually quite convenient. Fast forward two days and I'm urgently checking my email every 10 minutes to see if my results are in because I do NOT feel good. My throat has not gotten better in fact it is not just hurting on one side it's now both sides - hurts to swallow hurts to talk - just feeling bad and haven't gotten out of bed much ... at about 530 pm (47th hour) my husband calls to see if there's any result and if I can get a doctor's note for tomorrow. First he was on hold for 20 minutes before anyone picked up the phone at this office .... second no my results are not back yet ... third I can't get a note because the doctor that saw me is not working today. Long story short I ended up on the phone asking why my results aren't back and she said they are sent directly to Jennifer. What? Ok and also Jennifer isn't working tomorrow. What? Take a minute to let that sink in. And also since the doctor here didn't see you he can't write you a note but you can come in again and see him. What? For what??! I simply said I'm not paying another $50.00 for him to do the exact tests I ALREADY had done? This was about 38 minutes after the initial call was made and we were put on hold several times. I asked to speak to a manager who of course had already left for the day. I'm still very very confused at what happened. Ok he can't write me a note ok I get that but to say that I need to be seen again to get a note is ludicrous. I've already been seen! So Renown Health is linked to my medical coverage... Senior Care Plus. Really think this is a fantastic system. Went out of town with a really bad knee... thought for sure it's leading up to another knee replacement... yuk! So I went to My Chart with Renown and left a message for my doctor requesting an x-ray and/or appointment. Was pleased when I got back home to find a message that my x-rays were ordered. Currently waiting to hear from doctor on the results. What is frustrating, however, is that while I was out of town, I was pretty sure I remembered my password, but alas... it would not accept. So I did as instructed...can't remember password, cant remember user id. Got new ones. Got in the system... sent my message. Made sure to write down my new user id and password. But the in 2 days later and got the inevitable message.. not recognized. Tried again and again... now I'm locked out. Truly frustrating. Need to get in there to see if the results of my x-rays have been posted and if I've a message from my doctor.. Now I'm waiting for the "help line" to call me back.... read more

I always come to this urgent care. It's a great facility. It feels clean and the providers are always kind and efficacious. Even when I walk in and there are several people ahead of me, the wait always seems to be reasonable. I was a walk in appointment, and had been waiting over an hour to be seen. A lady, who was also a walk in and came in AFTER me got called up first. They called my phone while I've been sitting in the lobby waiting, obviously not going to answer a number I do not know in a waiting room full of people. Yet, they called the lady who was supposed be after me's name in person, a staff came and got her. Why would you call me and not come grab me like you grabbed her? Terrible service. I was seen on 4/3/2023 at Summit Ridge Urgent Care for a sinus infection. I have been seen at this office many times over the years. A Dr. Robert Bogart spent approximately 15 minutes with me regarding my sinus infection, gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. He then billed me for a New Patient Office Visit, Level 3 to the tune of $245.00. I WAS NOT A NEW PATIENT TO THIS ESTABILISHMENT and have not been billed for a NEW PATIENT visit during my past visits to Summit Ridge Urgent Care. I am requesting a review of this charge. I Spoke with Joe in the billing department and requested the phone number for Summit Ridge Urgent Care and was given a number that just answers with an auto attendant and never gets you to a live person or gives you a number for Summit Ridge. I went in to Saint Mary's urgent care with some very serious concerns which pertained to right side abdominal pain.. I was treated so poorly here where the doctor refused to order blood work and basically rushed me out the door with antibiotics when I didn't even have any infections according to urine analysis. He didn't listen to me at all, he told me he had ambulance coming in so he had to go.. he then told me I could get an ultrasound that it was "my money..." honestly I have had much better treatment from renown's urgent care I can't even lie. I recently needed to go to an urgent care and decided to go to the Renown Health Urgent Care located at Summit Ridge. This urgent care is located in the Northwest area of Reno, near the Home Depot. What a nice facility! The space is new, clean, and very welcoming. I had to get an x-ray and it was a very simple process. I was able to make an appointment online to avoid waiting a long period of time like I have had experienced with other urgent care facilities. The entire appointment was streamlined and I was only there for about an hour. The staff was welcoming and efficient. It was the first time I had ever been asked if I wanted a water....It's the little customer service things that really make a difference. I highly recommend this location if you need to see a doctor on the fly. 5 stars!!! read more

Because this is so close to where I live (literally two minutes!), I often find myself here when in need of medical care. This place has never been busy during the times that I have been here. This is unusual because other urgent cares I've been to are typically a day long experience because of the long wait. Everyone is really friendly here, but it seems like I've never had the same doctor twice. I have felt rushed before, but usually they take as much time as you want to get the full idea of what your problem is. Obviously the first time you go there, there is a lot of paper work to fill out, and they try to update their records quite often. I had made an appointment for urgent care the day before for an ear ache. I'm from out of town and I just needed a quick check in. I got there at my scheduled time and there was a guy sitting at the desk snapping at me that urgent care is closed today and to go somewhere else. I had made an appointment and it went through and no one notified me otherwise and I drove all the way out to their location. I didn't catch the man's name who was at the front desk but he needs training in customer service! He was so so rude and unhelpful. There was no offering to reschedule or a recommendation of where else to go. He didn't explain why they couldn't take me even though they took my appointment. So frustrating!! read more

Quality was ok but it shouldn't take 4 hours to be seen for a throat swab especially when 90min of that is after the swab was done and another 45min to get the receptionist to print out the after visit summary. Next time it'll be the Minute Clinic. Edit: In addition, it turns out the NP was apparently so new that neither Rite Aid nor CVS had him in the system and could not fill the prescription same day. Still looking for a pharmacy that can get my basic antibiotics I was prescribed. So, one half day was spent waiting, the other half trying to fill the prescription. Exactely what one wants to do instead of resting in bed with a nasty sinus infection! Edit 2: After all this Renown Urgent Care has the audacity to send me a $161 bill after I already paid $120 on site. And all of that to get my temperature and blood pressure taken and the NP prescribing me basic antibiotics. Not going back. I'm 37 and I have never been sick and just have the occasional need to see a doctor. This is the first time I ever received a bill for a doctor visit. My insurance company said they cover exams 100% but the doctor's office coded me as an ill-visit when all I needed was a few vaccines. So for the first time in my life I have to chase a doctor's bill and ask for coding to be redone and resubmitted. Ridiculous! read more

Today they were so busy they wanted me to go to the ER....I have sat here now for 2 hours, in a hot car as they are not allowing people to sit in waiting room. I did the virtual check in, and it's totally cool. , Every UC should have it. Super friendly staff. Rex Weeks was the provider, and he was fabulous. I know these guys got hammered today, as my virtual wait was long. But that just the way it is in medical care folks. I had a virtual wait at the Damonte Ranch location and went in for my check in and got a text saying Press M to be seen and so I pressed it and it bumped me to the bottom of the wait list! Of course I assumed this was a simple fix and an extremely rude receptionist said "sorry there is nothing I can do...now you'll have to wait longer" so I left extremely angry! My husband insisted that I get on another wait list at a different location since I was so sick and was I glad I listened to him! I drove 20 minutes to the Summit Ridge location and the receptionist was so kind and sweet and so was the MA! She was compassionate and kind and even apologized for by bad experience! Then the PA Daniel G Joseph was amazing! If I could give him 10 stars I would! I was home with meds I needed ASAP! Thank you for restoring my faith in Renown! read more

Longest wait ever, it should be called non-urgent half @ss care. We were in the waiting room for more than an hour and a half, and they did not look busy enough to justify the wait. Moreover we could hear them coking and joking in the back of the office. Then a member of the staff had time to visit with who appeared to be family and walk outside to retrieve something from their car. When we finally were seen the nurse practitioner said bloodwork would be beneficial to making a diagnosis, but then admitted they aren't equipped to do labs. The official diagnosis was nothing more than we knew when we walked in the place. Don't get me wrong I could care less what the staff does if they didn't have customers waiting but it looks very bad when there are patients waiting to be seen and then waiting for so long. So a recap they don't have an actual doctor on staff to see you. They don't do lab work. Why bother? At least they can write prescriptions. Unlike some of the other posters, I've got no beef with how nice they are at this place. They seemed nice enough to me, but frankly, I don't care about nice when I'm looking for "urgent care". I care about competence. The first time I was here was to get a temporary prescription for a medication I needed due to a screwup on my part (I was counting on a pharmacy being open on a day they were closed). They gave me the prescription at this place, but for the wrong drug. It got sorted out eventually, but if they can't match what they say they're prescribing with what they write on the paper, it's not a good sign. The second time I was here was when I brought in a sick friend. Rex, the PA, seemed a bit rushed and not that interested in listening to my friend's symptoms. The diagnosis he gave -- as we later found out from another doctor who nailed it a few days later after things didn't improve -- was wrong. Worse, the medications and injection he recommended probably made things worse. Based on the two visits I had, I cannot recommend this place. Returned to Urgent Care today after being on medication for five days. They did more testing to see if something else could be causing my discomfort. I was so pleased to find out I could do the actual test right there in the office and that I could do it myself. Super easy and a comfortable way to go. The PA on duty was Dan Joseph and he was great. Easy to talk to and explained everything fully. I was so comfortable with him and he did not rush me at all. I was able to ask many questions and he told me he would call me back Monday and he called with Sunday with the results. It is wonderful that you can make an appointment online so the wait is not so long. And not once did they push me to get one of the renown family practice doctors. I am looking for the right fit in a doctor not just any doctor and that takes time. I am very pleased with this Urgent Care Facility and will come back if I need quick care. read more

It's clean, convenient and you can use this place or your primary physician as well. They've handled everything from a kidney stone attack to a bug bit here. Sometimes they take a while and it would be nice if they would update you on your status with an occasional, "you're up next or soon". My grandma is 85 years old and had never been to urgent care. I took her in for an ear problem because her doctor couldn't see her quickly enough. Our PA Kala Scoggin was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. My grandmother was so happy and thankful to have been taken such good care of! She says it was her best health care experience to date. It is obvious that Kala loves what she does and genuinely cares for her patients. If I ever need to visit urgent care, I sure hope Kala will be the one to treat me! read more
