So helpful! Great prices. Made my 11 day rental really easy and I'd go back in a heartbeat. I believe they rent uhauls too.

We had a good experience - new management - owner was very friendly and happily drove us to the airport.

Sara not only was nice and helpful, she was professional as well, she even gave me a van that had less than 3,000 miles on it.

About two weeks prior to my mid December trip I called Thrifty's main number to see if I could reserve a Subaru as I was concerned about driving in snowy conditions. I was told that I could get a Subaru, no problem. I go to pick up the vehicle and the counter guys says, "we don't have Subarus"...WTF. I was then told they did not have any 4x4 mid size SUV even when I showed him the paper work...again WTF. It was snowing fairly hard and I had to drive across the state. My sister was with me and I told her I was going to call another rental car agency. As I was looking up the number the counter guys "oh wait, we do have a Jeep Compass". Why did he lie to me in the first place. I confirmed it was a 4x4 and we were on our way. The drive was a bit hairy as the roads were slick and when I had trouble making it up a small incline I checked the type of tires this vehicle had. It was outfitted with regular tires...not winter or mud and snow rated tires. The vehicle was registered in South Caroline and I suspect they don't get much snow down there. It seems irresponsible to rent out a car in Vermont, in winter without tires rated for snow!! Upon returning home I called Thrifty's customer service department to complain. They said nothing could be done.!!! I will never rent from Thrifty again!!!!!

Even better upon my return I realized I'd be overcharged slightly - about $15. It wasn't actually an overcharge, but a bill for the three extra hours I'd had the car out past the deadline. Larry, one of the managers, was very professional and accommodating and agreed to remove the overage charge "if it means keeping your business at Thrifty." Well, you got it, Larry. Also, Maria - the bus driver - is awesome. Great experience at Thrifty after a great ski trip to Vermont.

. Storage Renters Beware! WARNING!!! Do NOT RENT STORAGE…read morefrom this man Armand Fournier ... www.accessstoragevt.com. Not to be trusted. 1. Fournier has Zero Conscience & he's a Bully (he threatened to send the Police to my house) ... because of something HE DID WRONG! Not ME (he's sociopathic). 2. He's a THIEF (he charged me $2,000 for a damaged / malfunctioning, supposedly "motion/object-sensored" Garage Door ~ that doesn't sense MOTION ... Nor Objects underneath. The door 100% open when I began to back out, closed down on the top half of my UHaul Truck Rental while exiting his storage unit on AIRPORT PARKWAY (AP)... smashing out the rear left window (costing me $297 to replace for UHaul). The unanticipated accident ended my time left with UHaul Truck rental; I still needed to move more items (I e., the truck rental wasn't FREE!). That same morning, there was another older couple paying Movers whose staff informed me that the AP (motion & object sensor) Garage Door "isn't functioning properly" & that it "slammed down on their trucks ramp the day before" (evidence & proof the sensors were broken). After I cleaned/swept up all the glass out of the way, Armand Fournier was called that morning to inform him of the damage to UHaul Truck & the dented lower half of his AP Garage Door. He advised me NOT to call the Police, he said, "since it was private property, no need to." I was informed by UHaul Riverside, later that morning, that this was the 2nd UHaul Truck damaged by the malfunctioning garage doors at AP. A few weeks later Fournier called to tell me he was mailing me USPS the "invoice" on the AP Garage door, and advised me to call my CAR INSURANCE company to claim it: a.) I never got the invoice in the mail b.) I wasn't going to claim it ~ making my deductible go up \ because it wasn't my fault his "motion/object sensored" doors were malfunctioning. He became really angry & threatening me, when I didn't get back to him, and informed me he tacked on an additional $2,000 to my AP Storage Bill, and threatened to call the Police ... And just when you think his abusive tactics couldn't get any worse? ... they do. I drove my loaded up car to place items in my new Climate Controlled AP unit ... only to find he placed a LOCK on it illegally (I was ever late w/ rental pay). 3.) the units at Boyer Farm (BF) are mice infested (which ate & destroyed many of my items / expensive cotton curtains & left urine & rodent feces in many of my boxes). 4.) the BF units leak LOTS of water ... not just a little (2 inches 3/19/25) ... [see photographs]. I had to spend 4 hours cleaning up the mess, mopping up the inches if water with an old blanket & needed to move all boxes UP OFF the ground, and place on top of items not "as severely" effected by water damage. 5.) when I called & emailed Armand Fournier to request he not charge me for that month I had 2 inches of water? ... NOTHING was given back to me in return for the water damage, or 4 hour clean up time ... Not a penny.

Then missed extending the lease by a day because we are driving 12 hours a day and I need my phone for gps. Halfway through the trip, the truck threw a blinking check engine light. Was misfiring hard on 2 cylinders. I pulled into a gas station and called Budget at 12 noon. I was passed from the original facility to customer service to return facility, back to rental facility, then to another customer service who claimed to escalate the issue and someone will call within an hour (It is now 7:02 pm and nobody has called). After an hour, I called customer service who then supposedly was passing me to a manager only to end up back on the customer service main answering machine where my call was finally answered by someone who didn't speak but I could hear noises in the background after a solid 5 minutes of nothing I gave up and drove a now horrible sounding truck to a hotel so we can actually sleep in a bed and not freezing on the side of the road. I'll be getting a competitor truck in the morning and they can come get their junk. Never again will I use or recommend Budget. Worst moving experience in my life, and I've moved a lot.

I'd like to make it clear that this review is not about the local Budget offices, it is about…read moreBudget in general. Where can I even start? My company rents a copious amount of trucks with Budget every week. Every single week we have an issue with them. If we reserve a 16' truck, we get a 24' truck. If we reserve 8 trucks, they deliver 4 trucks and don't even bother to tell us they won't be providing all 8 trucks. Then when we call to get the problem solved, I get told I'm SOL. We are in a small town where finding 1 replacement truck is hell, let alone 4. So after I spoke with 2 snooty Budget representatives, I finally called our account manager and threatened to cancel our account with Budget. Magically, they were able to provide the 4 trucks, but not without charging us to bring them in from an hour away. I hate Budget, the only reason I continue to use their service is because they are our only option. Also, we currently have a Budget truck in our lot, upon our inspection, there is a molded tomato in a fast food wrapper under the drivers seat, several dirty q-tips in the door compartment and sticky mess along with random garbage strewn about. How this company managed to stay in business is beyond me. If you're a new customer trying to figure out which company to rent from, I highly recommend staying as far away from Budget as possible.

There was one person working, but I only had to wait about a minute to see him. I provided him my DL to look up my reservation. He handed me the key in a minute, and provided the instructions on where to pick up the car and how to return it. I also got two class free upgrade for being a Avis President Club member. Upon reaching the designated spot, our car was there, totally clean and full gas tank. The car was in pretty good condition. We used the car for 3 days without any issues. For return, I took the car back to Avis' designated area. I took the keys back to the counter and handed over the key. That was all I had to do. It was such an easy no hassle process. I received my receipt in the email couple of hours later.

We arrive this Saturday before Christmas early in the morning. The guy working was pretty grumpy. I was hoping for a warm greeting, but he was kind of cold, which is fine I guess, but just his manners and phrasing were a bit offputting. Basically, here's the car take it or leave it. The car was nice enough a jeep compass with 4 x 4, which was good in the snow however, we were staying at a ski resort an hour away and one of the tires kept losing pressure. So this was constantly on my mind we went to fill the tire and luckily we found somebody nearby who is super nice but what we did find is that tire definitely had a slow leak Another tire which we filled up actually had the pin pushed in so once that tire was filled apparently the guy had a screw on adapter to make it work. We left that tire alone, but the other tire definitely had to slow leak and we were wondering if we were gonna make it back. I called Avis the first night or the second morning we were there and basically the choices were. The guy would come get it and tow it back as the car had no spare or we could drive it an hour each way to get a new car if they even had one.
