My hubby and I were having a destination wedding, and I decided I wanted a "Day Of Coordinator" for the big day. During wedding planning, we were able to secure and plan out every detail for our wedding, however since I'm a huge laser focus freak, I wanted someone to be there on that day to take over the realms & make sure things ran smoothly so I could relax and be romantic with my hubby. Knowing that Sandy is a great event planner, (I've been to her children's birthday parties and girl, let me tell ya....) and friend I asked if she could help out. I was a little worried at first because sometimes mixing business + friendships can lead to bad results, and I didn't really want to end up giving Sandy divorce papers, but I had faith in our friendship and Sandy's character. And it proved very well. Sandy graciously offered all of her services, and took control from the start. She treated me as a client and a friend; or as both since she's considers all her clients her friends. For being hired as a DoC, she did above and beyond. From 1.5 month prior to ceremony, she gathered all contracts and contacted each vendor on a weekly basis to make sure each were on track. She provided me with checklists and timelines for the big day. Sandy also provided great suggestions and feedback. Her demeanor was always professional, positive, and caring. When it came closer, Sandy even traveled with her family to our wedding city a week early so she could see the city and be there for the vendors. Throughout this whole time she kept in constant touch with me. On the morning of the wedding, she gave such beautiful and positive words to me, which started the day off perfectly. Thoughout the day, Sandy's touch in details was everywhere. It was evident she worked hard to make our day feel special. My friends and family loved her and gave compliments to all of her efforts. The next week, Sandy wrote "Thank You" cards to myself and all of the vendors. No, thank YOU Sandy for all of your help and friendship. :)
